Been going to Temple Barber Lounge since June and I always get my hair cut by Prince. He's patient, precise and most importantly consistent. I typically ask for a skin fade with a trim off the top, and i always come out with my hair lookin on point. When doing a post cut survey on my hair with the handheld mirror and back mirror, everything is cut so well and no adjustments are needed. Its very clear the barbers here take pride in their work. The shop itself is very clean and they practice gold-standard hygiene. I think the prices are very fair based on the quality of the cuts with respect to the prices at other nearby barber shops. You get what you pay for, and I feel like I always get high quality service here. Prince is a cool dude overall and also very resourceful so let him know if you got any particular requests and maybe he can hook it up depending on what you're asking for. The aesthetic is dope. Im personally into MMA/boxing and theres always a fight showing on the TVs. Theres also good music always playing in the background. Its not too loud but also not too quiet. Parking is easy. I usually park near the target side and its a 2-3 min walk. The shop is easy to find (across the jewelry store). read more

When I started bringing my son to Temple Barber, the people were pleasant, and I love supporting black businesses, but this last visit was terrible for me as a single mother raising sons, and being so trusting with staff. I booked an appointment with Prince, the owner, but due to an emergency he cancel our appointment since I had no time to get another cut any where else and I couldn't reschedule before school starting I trusted his staff telling me they cut like him! And when I met up with my son, I looked at his cut, and the lineup was crooked, so the next day, I reached out to Prince, the owner he proceeded to tell me my 16 year old son said he was satisfied with his cut and he will not look at the cut and to take my business somewhere else and has been nothing but good to us and he has given free haircuts to us and supported my son which I appreciate but I just wanted to get his line fixed and he would not let me get a word in! I drive far to come and support him, but if the parent is not satisfied, he could have listened to me, but instead, I was yelled at, and that is unacceptable, so if I were you only go to Prince who knows how too cut the rest of the staff is questionable on cutting hair don't let his staff ruin your child's hair cut because they will not fix and if they are under 18 go with them and inspect yourself because if they approve the word of your child, he might treat you the same way I was treated unfair, in my opinion find someone that will listen if you see something you don't like, without the 3rd degree put down! I came to mall for something else . As I was looking what was around I noticed that the barber shop was there. I read the reviews and saw that they got a lot of good reviews. I'm from the Bay Area here on business. Hadn't gotten a haircut in a month. I was trying to wait it out until I got back home. But , I couldn't take it anymore. I walked by and say the shop. Asked if they take walk-ins. They did. And Calvin was the barber who cut me. At first I was super nervous only because I'm particular on who touches my hair. As Calvin was cutting I gotta say my anxiety went away. I walked away lighter and happier. Whenever I come back into town and need a cut I'm definitely coming back and coming to Calvin again. Shop was great and the workers were cool as well. I would definitely recommend. read more

Giving these guys 1 stars just because of their personality otherwise I would put negative stars for their skills. The guys were great but the skill is not there. My boyfriend and I have chunks missing out of our hair from their cut. And being charged $40 for a military cut and mine was $50 plus $20 tip was just outrageous for the actual cuts we got. We get better ones on base for $14. I now have to spend another $50 to get it corrected at another location. I have modeled for short hairstylist and I have never had this bad of a haircut in my life. I was literally in tears after once I really saw the damage that was done. read more
