Small Chinese restaurant featuring the classic/typical dishes; most likely for take out but has a few dine-in tables Food: Chow fun with beef - 4/5 - pretty good version House chow fun - 5/5 - nice combination of chicken, pork and shrimp with the wide rice noodle Duong Chau fried rice - 3/5 - way mediocre Salted fish chicken fried rice - 4/5 - not bad but needs more of the salted fish General Tso's chicken - 3.5/5 - generous portion; flavor is strong but not how I usually like it Walnut shrimp - 5/5 - really tasty and comes with shrimp crackers Ambience: Take out restaurant with small dining area available Service: Fast, efficient, friendly

Mongolian Beef & 16 oz. Steam Rice

Found this place through a buddy and at first glance it seemed like a nice spot. Lots of parking due to it being in a plaza. The food is quickly prepared and good. Their pricing seems to be of any asian takeout. I usually order online and they're always finished before I arrive (8-14 minute drive from where I live) which is surprising since other restaurants take longer than what their initial expected time is in which case I've waited for 10+ minutes. Haven't had a problem with this spot and they're always good. Just wished they were open a little later in the night so I could grab something to eat when I'm off from work. Nonetheless it's a good spot that isn't crowded!

Huge portions. Fried rice was very mushy and as my friend stated, "That rice doesn't look dark/cooked enough for me ..." General chicken tasted pretty generic, like on par with Raley's grocery store Chinese food but it's good. Salt & Pepper wings are great however. My family always orders the party trays of this item for parties. Be aware that there's a $100 limit when ordering Door Dash for delivery

    Orange Chicken Lunch Special

The food here was not bad. I tried their orange chicken and their kung pao chicken lunch specials. The orange chicken here was decent and I liked the chow mein it was served on. The kung pao chicken wasn't as flavorful as I'd have liked and the fried rice was just okay (could use a little more vegetables or egg mixed in).

Definitely not coming back, I was so disappointed with lunch special today, it took them literally 5 mins to get me my food. Thought the service was fast but no they probably had it pre cooked and just warmed it up for me! The chow mein was so chewy and had some spots cold The rice was not even mixed evenly And the meat YUCK like a rock SMH waited my money

Who does this to Chow Mein? It's abuse!

OMG!! I wrote a review back in May about my order being in a sweet, sticky pink sauce and that it was horrible. I just ordered pot stickers (which are decent) Mongolian beef because I didn't want the sticky pink sauce and tomato beef chow mien. Well guess what? The chow mien came with the sweet, sticky pink sauce? Who does this to classic Chinese food? I need to call the food police to report abuse! I ordered it on their delivery service which provides no descriptions and no photos of the dishes. Spin the wheel with this place. If you like sweet, sticky pink sauce on EVERYTHING! then this place is for you. Lordy I wish I had another delivery option near me.

Kung Pao Chicken this dish was mostly soggy vegetables but it was hot n spicey.

YH is a fun place to go to because the exterior and bathrooms scream Macaroni Grill, but walking inside it becomes a classic Chinese dim sum banquet hall! This review is based on their dim sum menu. Yue Huang has a bunch of options and my wife and I intend to eat through their entire menu to try to distill our favorite things. So far we have thoroughly enjoyed their shanghai pan-fried buns, steam rice roll w/breadstick, steam golden shrimp rice roll, and crispy pork belly. I highly recommend you go with a group of adventurous eaters because as any good dim sum veteran knows: more people means more dishes you can try!

The AI said it was top rated, and we had never been. By 7pm the dining room was busy, many of the parties Asian We ordered a pot of tea, crispy pork, potstickers, roast duck, honey bbq pork and the house noodle dish Yue Huang Chow Fun which had shrimp and chicken. THE PROS: Nice sit down restaurant decor. Large tables and cushy upholstered chairs. Not a strip mall cubicle. They have actually been awarded Michelin Honors three times. Portions were good sized, and flavors were nice. THE CONS: Unfortunately, we were underwhelmed by everything. All of the dishes arrived just warm. Staff never checked on us - not once - until we asked for some to-go boxes. They have two large tvs in the dining room, showing a loop of the restaurant I'm currently sitting in. The music in the dining area must have been on "Slow Girl Ballad" station on Spotify's free tier- as we honestly listed to a 10 min Samsung commercial in between songs - and not at a low volume. BOTTOM LINE: Maybe we were the exception- as there were clearly enough patrons to show it is a popular - but nothing about our experience made us want to come again. I guess we didn't see what the Michelin people saw. PRICE: $80

That said, the food more than made up for it. Our favorite dish by far was the Spicy Calamari with Basil. It's something I'd absolutely come back for--the calamari was tender with a great texture, and the sweet, savory flavors paired perfectly with everything else we ordered. The Garlic Chili Green Beans were another standout. They had great flavor and still retained a nice crunch instead of being overly soft, giving them the perfect stir-fried texture. The Vegetable Chow Fun (with beef added) was decent but a little dry for my taste, so it's probably not something I'd order again. By the end of the meal we were completely stuffed, but we couldn't resist trying the banana cream pie. It looked huge when it arrived, and we honestly didn't think we'd finish it--but it was so delicious that we ended up eating the whole thing. Definitely don't skip dessert! I also appreciated that when I asked for hot sauce, they brought out several different options to try, including what seemed like a garlic chili sauce, chili crisp, hot mustard, and sweet and sour sauce. It was a fun touch that let us customize each bite. The restaurant also has a lot of history and character. We walked in casually without realizing it was a more upscale sit-down restaurant, but it ended up being one of the highlights of our day. If you go, the Spicy Calamari with Basil and the banana cream pie are absolute must-orders!

My goal is to come here during dine downtown week in January to try that menu since I hear it's worth it. For parking, it's either street parking or you can do valet parking in the garage right next door. There is no self parking in the garage. Street parking is self parking. The restaurant itself is like a long, large hallway. When you walk in, your greeted by the host desk. Then you walk towards the back and pass a bunch of booths, tables and the bar area to the right. It's built like a Craftsman style layout. When I was here recently, it was for a friend's birthday and there was a group of 10+ of us. They only do family style food so our group was split into 2 tables and each table ordered their own entrees and meals to eat family style. I was at a table of perks I had just met that night, but we had no issues sharing plates. This may not be for everyone, do you can still order your own entrees, but there won't be much variety if you don't have a lot of people. The food was good. We ordered wallet shrimp, Buddha's delight, the curry noodles/chow mein, garlic green beans and chicken chow mein. All three good was good. I would say it's above average and comparable to Din Tai Fung, but a bit cheaper. I liked the walnut shrimp, garlic green beans and buddhas delight. Service was decent. It could've been better, but could've been worse. Overall, we enjoyed our meal. I'll be back when dine downtown rolls around.

On my latest visit it was a very busy Sunday, but I was able to place an order for take-out and then wait in my car for the order to be ready. I'll have to keep an eye out for their next review, because whatever they had looked delish! I waited in the car for a bit and then when the order still needed a few more minutes I popped into the dollar store next door to kill a bit more time. Before I knew it my order was ready to go. They packed everything really nicely and we served it up as soon as we got home. Their rice noodle rolls are so flavorful and I love the sweet, salty and savory sauce that comes with it. The noodles are really filling, and the dishes we got would be enough food for 2-4 people depending on how hungry you are. We ate the rice rolls right away and then had leftover green beans and beef and mushrooms for lunch today. The green beans were fresh and had a great garlic flavor, without it being too much. The Beef and Mushrooms was great, the beef was tender and flavorful and the mushrooms soaked up all the sauce. There were also green beans in this dish, which was a perfect addition. I really need to dine in soon for the full experience, but take-out has always been a win for me.
