Food: 4/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Parking: 4/5 I ordered To Go so very fast service, didn't stay for too long. Parking is all free, unlimited; part of a large shopping plaza but beware as it can get really busy and hard to find parking during peak hours. Service was quick and helpful. Lots of indoor seating and two outdoor tables too. Order + pick up your food at the counter, then pick your own seat. Ordered the Pan Fried Pork Dumplings, received 12 pieces which had a little crispy bottom but mostly soft and flavorful pork filling. Pairs very nicely with the House Sauce which is like a sweet, garlic soy sauce. 4/5 dish. Also ordered the Fried Bun Taco, crispy outside with the fried bun. The pork belly inside was very flavorful with a sweet/savory sauce. 5/5 dish. For both dishes, paid a total of $22 which is a pretty reasonable and low price for the quality + quantity. Overall, 4/5 would def come here again for a quick and cheaper lunch!

Place looks nice, and the menu offers a lot of variety in a few simple base choices. Order brought out quick and was very flavorful. The dining area is well appointed without being intimidating, and we were able to sit where we were comfortable. Will have to bring the parents next time!

Pan fried pork dumplings $11 (Jan 2025)

What's the hype you ask? Delicious dumplings! Had the pork pan fried dumplings and they were delicious. Juicy and crispy. A great filling meal for $11. I chose the house sauce which is a vinegary traditional dumpling sauce. The iced mango green tea was delicious and refreshing but someone pricy for $5.50 (inflation). All in all, a great deal for the price. It is located in a very busy shopping center so you might have to park a lot further down in the parking lot and walk a little bit to get here but it's worth it.

Cute little place with good food. You can have the dumplings steamed or pan fried. Dumplings are flavorful and the wrapping is not too heavy. The chicken roll was really good. Food came out quick and the staff was friendly. Looking forward to coming back and trying out the other menu items.

Came here on a whim with my husband as we were looking for shaved ice (happened to be next door, lol). We hadn't eaten anything and decided we'd try dumplings, since I've been curious to try the latest food trend., and then get our shaved ice for dessert after. Once you step inside, you are greeted by a nice, clean and simply appointed eatery, and an equally nice young lady behind the counter. The menu is easy to follow and there are a nice selection of dishes to try, along with the star off the show...the delicious dumplings. We started by ordering beef dumplings (fried), the house chow mein, the rolled chicken pancake, and one Thai iced tea for my husband. The food came out pretty quick and hot and so fresh!! The dumplings were amazing and the teriyaki and Mayo sauce were Devine to dip them in...the beef inside was super flavorful and the dough was fresh and a nice thickness. Those were my favorite! The chow mein...the noodles were heavenly and had a great texture and flavor. The sauce was light, but just a tad greasy, but still very good. The pork and veggies were very generous and overall, the dish was amazing! The chicken rolled pancake was equally delish and I'd order these three items in a heartbeat! I should mention the portions were large for what you pay and we had enough leftovers for dinner the next night! It was a really good bargain for quality, fresh flavorful food and we really, really enjoyed it! I know I will add this to my list of favorite places! I'm going to dream of those dumplings until My next fix! Lol.

Pork Dumplings, Peanut Sesame Noodles Salad, Beijing Noodles

I have been wanting to try this place but wasn't able to for a while due to the limited hours. The place was fairly empty when we arrived, and we ordered our food at the counter before sitting down. I had heard that their dumplings were really good so I was excited to try! Items ordered: - Pork dumplings pan fried ($9): My favorite dish! The dumplings had a really great flavor and were pretty thick with a juicy filling. I think if I had a dish to myself I would be pretty full off of the one dish. Their house sauce also goes along really well with the dumplings. - Peanut butter sesame noodle salad ($15.50): When the bowl was set down, all I saw was shredded chicken and no noodles, but I was mainly surprised by the amount of shredded chicken that came with the dish. The chicken was pretty dry and the peanut sauce was alright. There could be a bit more flavor in this dish. - Beijing noodles ($15.75): The dish had a large portion size but was pretty oily and greasy. The meat was also pretty salty and the noodles were very thick. I would recommend getting the dumplings but don't think I would get these noodle dishes again.

I love dumplings! I cannot believe it took me this long to try Hao Bao but whatever, I finally did it. I ordered to-go o Wednesday afternoon and they we're QUICK. My pan fried pork dumplings were hot and packed within 5 mins. I really liked their to-go containers because it had two open flaps to let the air out so my dumplings remained crispy during my 15 min car ride home. The dumplings were very flavorful and the perfect bite! I do think it's funny that they charge $1 extra for pan frying...this seems a bit ridiculous but I guess that's how you get your profit in as a business. Lol Next time I'm shopping in the area and looking for a quick snack, I'll come in and have some more yummy dumplings!

Spicy Dumpling Soup (Pork and Chive Dumplings)

Food was amazing! Flavorful, quick to serve and very friendly staff. Attentive, they come to your table often asking if you need anything and the restaurant is very clean. Tried Pan Fried Pork Dumplings and the Spare Rib Noodle Soup ... couldn't take a pic because we devoured everything quickly!! Everything was delicious!!

12 Piece Pork & Chive Dumplings Pan Fried

We came here on a weekday just after lunch and it wasn't busy. We ordered Spare Rib Noodle Soup, 12 Piece Pork and Chive Dumplings Pan Fried, and Soup Dumplings. We wanted it spicy and added noodles to the Soup Dumplings. I liked the 12 piece dumplings pan fried the most. The noodles in the soup was good. I'd come back for the pan fried dumplings. The food was filling.

Absolutely wonderful service and delicious wonton. Very short lines, don't have to wait for the food. Good price and very hot. Especially perfect on this rainy cold day.

We went here today because it was on our way home and we were looking for dinner that's light and fast, and we did not want fast food. We've been here before the staff are nice. We found out that their new hours are until 5:30p only that was posted on their door and we got there around 5:33pm, we still went inside we asked if they're closed the cashier said yes but asked if it's for to go and we said yes, without hesitation she still served us and informed us that the cook is still there. There was one customer waiting for to go order. We really appreciate that we were still served when she can say no. Thank you! I'm hoping that the owners sees this and acknowledge that their staff have good customer service!

Great money for value, hot off the pans! Only tried the pan fried pork dumplings so far but definitely looking forward to try the boiled beef dumplings next time! Ordered a full set of pan fried pork, waited about 5-8 minutes, not long at all and can take a quick walk outside or take a seat indoors. A full set of dumplings was around $11/12 plus tax, quite enough for lunch for two if not too famished! Will return

    Is outdoor dining available?

No outdoor dining service, but the last time I was there, I saw a table and two chairs near the entrance.

Hey just curious what would you call these dumplings? From what province? Or did you guys just create the recipe? They are very good. I love coming here when I visit sac.

Thank for your like it. It was our own recipe.

    Do you open on Thanksgiving?

Sorry reply to late. We close at thanksgiving.

Is the noodle soup dumplings the same as getting soup dumplings that have some of the soup inside the dumpling?

Hi Michelle, Sorry for reply late. the noodle soup dumpling is the dumpling inside house-mad broth. We plan to have pan-fried soup dumpling with the soup inside the dumpling…

You can taste the umami from the roe and other ingredients that I am not entirely sure are but taste familiar. I enjoyed and loved it. Mapo Tofu - Firm Tofu and good sauce. Although I do enjoy more of a Sichuan-style spicy mapo tofu (with the very numbing taste), I still found this mapo tofu delicious as you can taste the flavor of the pork and sauce coating the tofu. 2 Entree BBQ Platter: Roast Duck and Empress chicken - I'm biased towards roast duck. I love roast duck so any roast duck is good to me. Not a lot of comment on the duck. However, the Empress Chicken is nicely seasoned with the whatever broth they cooked it in. One of the few Empress Chickens where I can enjoy it without the scallion-ginger oil, but the scallion-ginger oil still elevates this Chicken to a higher level. Congee with Pork and Preserved Egg - Comforting and triggers a lot of nostalgic feelings for me. I didn't have to add too much additional soy sauce or chili sauce because the congee has a great base flavor. Preserved egg and pork weren't too chunky, rice was not too "mushy", and the overall congee was in a good thickness to create a nice mouth feel for each bite. Drinks aren't rated, as they don't sell house cocktails (though they sell a small selection of beers and wines). All-in-all a solid menu. The dilemma is that we generally felt unwelcome. We came by on a Sunday evening at 6:30 pm (and paid and left by 8:20 pm which is 10 minutes before closing). We were a party of 8 with diverse backgrounds, and with exception to one server (a woman wearing red who was maybe a manager), the staff just weren't friendly toward us. I will say that one woman in red was so kind. She made sure to say "bye" as we left. I will add one of my friends mistakenly tried to take a pair of chopsticks (as they are set on the table in a paper slip). She didn't realize they were store owned/reusable vs throwaway. She quickly apologized, but that became the final straw of awkwardness with the staff. The food was genuinely great with appropriate prices, so I may give it another shot down the road as a date night option.

A great spot for a solid Chinese meal--and surprisingly, an amazing banana cream pie!…read more The service was friendly overall, although our table wasn't checked on very often since it was so busy. That said, the food more than made up for it. Our favorite dish by far was the Spicy Calamari with Basil. It's something I'd absolutely come back for--the calamari was tender with a great texture, and the sweet, savory flavors paired perfectly with everything else we ordered. The Garlic Chili Green Beans were another standout. They had great flavor and still retained a nice crunch instead of being overly soft, giving them the perfect stir-fried texture. The Vegetable Chow Fun (with beef added) was decent but a little dry for my taste, so it's probably not something I'd order again. By the end of the meal we were completely stuffed, but we couldn't resist trying the banana cream pie. It looked huge when it arrived, and we honestly didn't think we'd finish it--but it was so delicious that we ended up eating the whole thing. Definitely don't skip dessert! I also appreciated that when I asked for hot sauce, they brought out several different options to try, including what seemed like a garlic chili sauce, chili crisp, hot mustard, and sweet and sour sauce. It was a fun touch that let us customize each bite. The restaurant also has a lot of history and character. We walked in casually without realizing it was a more upscale sit-down restaurant, but it ended up being one of the highlights of our day. If you go, the Spicy Calamari with Basil and the banana cream pie are absolute must-orders!

My goal is to come here during dine downtown week in January to try that menu since I hear it's worth it. For parking, it's either street parking or you can do valet parking in the garage right next door. There is no self parking in the garage. Street parking is self parking. The restaurant itself is like a long, large hallway. When you walk in, your greeted by the host desk. Then you walk towards the back and pass a bunch of booths, tables and the bar area to the right. It's built like a Craftsman style layout. When I was here recently, it was for a friend's birthday and there was a group of 10+ of us. They only do family style food so our group was split into 2 tables and each table ordered their own entrees and meals to eat family style. I was at a table of perks I had just met that night, but we had no issues sharing plates. This may not be for everyone, do you can still order your own entrees, but there won't be much variety if you don't have a lot of people. The food was good. We ordered wallet shrimp, Buddha's delight, the curry noodles/chow mein, garlic green beans and chicken chow mein. All three good was good. I would say it's above average and comparable to Din Tai Fung, but a bit cheaper. I liked the walnut shrimp, garlic green beans and buddhas delight. Service was decent. It could've been better, but could've been worse. Overall, we enjoyed our meal. I'll be back when dine downtown rolls around.

I saw a couple of other Elites dining in when I was ordering, but it was so busy I couldn't properly say hi, so "HI DAVID AND EVA!" I'll have to keep an eye out for their next review, because whatever they had looked delish! I waited in the car for a bit and then when the order still needed a few more minutes I popped into the dollar store next door to kill a bit more time. Before I knew it my order was ready to go. They packed everything really nicely and we served it up as soon as we got home. Their rice noodle rolls are so flavorful and I love the sweet, salty and savory sauce that comes with it. The noodles are really filling, and the dishes we got would be enough food for 2-4 people depending on how hungry you are. We ate the rice rolls right away and then had leftover green beans and beef and mushrooms for lunch today. The green beans were fresh and had a great garlic flavor, without it being too much. The Beef and Mushrooms was great, the beef was tender and flavorful and the mushrooms soaked up all the sauce. There were also green beans in this dish, which was a perfect addition. We decided to try a little bit of everything and here is what we ordered: hot and sour soup, potstickers, spicy cucumbers, BBQ pork, BBQ pork fried rice, Mongolian beef, and honey walnut shrimp. The food came out fast and piping hot. Pretty soon our entire table was covered with dishes. We started with the hot and sour soup, which we both felt was lacking in the flavor department. It didn't have that spicy tang that you look for when you order hot and sour soup. The potstickers were fried crispy, but the dough was a little too thick. The spicy cucumbers had no flavor to them at all. And the honey walnut shrimp was not memorable. We both felt that the two best dishes were the BBQ pork fried rice and the Mongolian beef. The beef was tender and had good flavor. The prices were extremely fair and the portions were large, but all in all this was not my favorite Chinese restaurant in the area.
