I ordered the 12 Pc Chive Pork Dumplings (Boiled) and the Peach Green Iced Tea with Mango Jelly. The dumplings' flavor, especially when paired with the House Sauce, was dynamite and very satisfying. The drink was refreshingly tasty. I spent about $20 on my entire meal. The staff member who assisted me was super sweet and welcoming. The restaurant's interior was also clean and spacious. Darn, I really wanted to love Hao Bao! But unfortunately, they just didn't hit the spot. The inside is really nice and the service was great. But the Beijing Noodles were doughy, thick and lacked flavor. The beef dumplings were good, but if they're not pan fried, I could see them being also doughy. Came here for lunch. We split the pork and chive pan fried dumplings and the Beijing noodles. The dumplings were excellent, they tasted homemade. The Beijing noodles were awesome, the handmade noodles were perfect. The pork belly and cucumbers were the perfect compliments to the noodles. I chose the house sauce which is a vinegary traditional dumpling sauce. The iced mango green tea was delicious and refreshing but someone pricy for $5.50 (inflation). All in all, a great deal for the price. Once you step inside, you are greeted by a nice, clean and simply appointed eatery, and an equally nice young lady behind the counter. The menu is easy to follow and there are a nice selection of dishes to try, along with the star off the show...the delicious dumplings. We started by ordering beef dumplings (fried), the house chow mein, the rolled chicken pancake, and one Thai iced tea for my husband. The food came out pretty quick and hot and so fresh!! The dumplings were amazing and the teriyaki and Mayo sauce were Devine to dip them in...the beef inside was super flavorful and the dough was fresh and a nice thickness. Those were my favorite! The chow mein...the noodles were heavenly and had a great texture and flavor. The sauce was light, but just a tad greasy, but still very good. The pork and veggies were very generous and overall, the dish was amazing! The chicken rolled pancake was equally delish and I'd order these three items in a heartbeat! I should mention the portions were large for what you pay and we had enough leftovers for dinner the next night! I have been wanting to try this place but wasn't able to for a while due to the limited hours. The place was fairly empty when we arrived, and we ordered our food at the counter before sitting down. I had heard that their dumplings were really good so I was excited to try! Items ordered: - Pork dumplings pan fried ($9): My favorite dish! The dumplings had a really great flavor and were pretty thick with a juicy filling. I think if I had a dish to myself I would be pretty full off of the one dish. Their house sauce also goes along really well with the dumplings. - Peanut butter sesame noodle salad ($15.50): When the bowl was set down, all I saw was shredded chicken and no noodles, but I was mainly surprised by the amount of shredded chicken that came with the dish. The chicken was pretty dry and the peanut sauce was alright. There could be a bit more flavor in this dish. - Beijing noodles ($15.75): The dish had a large portion size but was pretty oily and greasy. The meat was also pretty salty and the noodles were very thick. I would recommend getting the dumplings but don't think I would get these noodle dishes again. read more

I really liked their to-go containers because it had two open flaps to let the air out so my dumplings remained crispy during my 15 min car ride home. The dumplings were very flavorful and the perfect bite! I do think it's funny that they charge $1 extra for pan frying...this seems a bit ridiculous but I guess that's how you get your profit in as a business. We went here today because it was on our way home and we were looking for dinner that's light and fast, and we did not want fast food. We've been here before the staff are nice. We found out that their new hours are until 5:30p only that was posted on their door and we got there around 5:33pm, we still went inside we asked if they're closed the cashier said yes but asked if it's for to go and we said yes, without hesitation she still served us and informed us that the cook is still there. There was one customer waiting for to go order. We really appreciate that we were still served when she can say no. Thank you! It's about time I update my review for Hao Bao. They listened to reviewers and really changed the place around since they opened years back. Their dumplings are way more delicious with the thinner dough and flavored meat. I can never decide between pan fried or regular, so I get both! The pan fried dumplings aren't swimming in oil anymore. They stay crispy, aren't greasy, and have just the perfect crunch to chewy ratio. Dumpling spots have been trending recently, but I find that Hao Bao is way better than the others. I mean.. A place specializing only in bite sized doughy meat packets? How can you go wrong with that? What makes this spot stand out though, is their dipping sauces. The House sauce is so damn umami, it makes me wonder if they mix some crack in it. It's that addicting. Dumplings just ain't right without it. I still haven't tried the noodle soups, but if dumplings are this good, I'm sure the noods are too. During COVID, it's take-out only. Had a nice casual lunch here. We walked in at lunchtime on a Saturday, and there was no wait. I ordered a 16 piece pork dumpling and 8 piece beef dumpling (both boiled--fried costs extra, but I wanted boiled anyway). Waited at an outdoor table and the food came out shortly on disposable paper trays. The lady taking our order was super nice. She came out to refill our waters, and was generally friendly. The store was clean, and so was the bathroom (requires a staff to unlock for you). The dumplings were tasty. Thick skin, chewy, and the meat filling was tasty--not too salty, and just right. You get your choices of sauce. I opted for the house and teriyaki. The house sauce was tasty and reminiscent of a soy, chili, vinegar sauce but suuuuuper mild. The teriyaki was interesting...it wasn't sweet and came with a huge dollop of what seemed like mayonnaise right in the middle. Not bad, but I ended up eating around the mayo just because. The restaurant is in a prime, corner-entry spot of a gigantic shopping center. You'll probably never have an issue finding parking somewhere-somehow in the large parking lot. Came here for lunch on a Sunday at around 1pm and they were pretty empty. You order and pay first at the cash register and then wait at a table for your food. I got pan fried beef dumplings, pan fried pork dumplings, and house chowmein. Our food came out pretty quickly and the first thing I noticed was that all the food was really oily. I didn't have a problem with it, but later in the day, my friend friend said it made her GERD flare up. I also did feel my face getting pretty oily too. Anyways, the pan fried dumplings had pretty crispy skin and really juicy filling. Dipped in the house made sauce made it to die for, making it probably one of my favorite dumpling spots. I did enjoy the pork a lot more than the beef as it was more firm compared to the mushy beef. The chowmein was a little less enjoyable. Their noodles were soft and chewy, which I really liked, but it didn't have much flavor. It was covered in oil and there was a lot of cabbage too, which soaked up the oil too. There was also sausages mixed it which was just like the sausage you add on top of pizza. I'm so happy a friend introduced me to this place for all my dumpling cravings! Generally you can choose pork, beef, chicken or vegetarian for your dumpling fillings. Then you have the option to have them steamed, pan fried (+$.50), or deep fried (+$.50). They also come with sauce choices of teriyaki, house sauce or sesame. They were made fresh to order and even though I walked in and ordered they were ready pretty quickly! I was so excited to try this place since they have so many good reviews! They also have reasonable prices for a dumpling place! So I went one day, I ordered online (super simple system) and got a full pan (16) pork pan fried dumpling which is 9.50 + 0.50 extra since I wanted them pan fried ? Weird but whatever. Got the house sauce too (extra sauce is 0.25 extra) They are very fast, it said our order would be ready between 5-10mins. There's lots of parking where they are located. We went inside and I guess they have indoor dining now bc a couple ppl were eating inside. The cashier was also sitting and eating lol, but when he saw us come in he got up to give me my order. The dumplings were still hot and looked good!! But not crispy :/. And honestly I don't know why people are saying these are good...the skin is thicker than I'd like (which I don't mind that much but) they have NO FLAVOR. Literally, the sauce carries it. The house sauce is great btw, but if you taste the dumpling, there is nothing. No salt, can't even taste the meat or whatever is in the filling. And it's all the same texture, chewy. No cabbage or carrot or idk what the filling is suppossed to have but I didn't taste any veg or anything, just the wrapper and meat texture.
