Amazing! Great place to stop on for breakfast. It's small but mighty! We took menus home and will call an order in for pickup if we have a large group or it's a busy time of year. Went here for breakfast since all the reviews were talking about the breakfast burritos. There was no line and expected more people there since it was Memorial Day weekend. The guy behind the counter was really chill. The food was amazing. I have lived in San Diego which has the lost amazing breakfast burritos in my opinion, and this place lived up to that expectation. Update: the health rating is 97. We happened upon this place on our way out of town and glad we did. We both got the beachcomber breakfast burrito and it was great. It's true the only seating is outside but it's a covered seating area. It has a local look and feel and the guy who took our order was awesome too. We hired Ten O Six to cater a clambake for a joint 50th birthday party @ OBX last week. Working with Toby on the details ahead of time was a snap. Joe and Sarah did a tremendous job on site with the food (for the kids as well) which was amazing! In addition to the clambake fare, we went with the BBQ chicken and added Alaskan king crab legs -- both of which were delicious. I can't recommend Ten O Six highly enough and look forward to hiring them again when we return to OBX in 2 years. read more

Not really a sit down place other than the patio, which is simple and very comfortable, with a good amount of seating. Visited Ten O Six this morning for breakfast and had a great time. Toby took our order and looked after us...super friendly guy who definitely looks out for his customers. Got the breakfast platter with scrambled eggs, bacon, hash browns, biscuit and coffee. The food was excellent, large portions and reasonably priced. Probably the best biscuit I've actually had in my life. Ordered the bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit which was pretty big. Bacon was great and crispy, egg was cooked perfectly and the biscuit had a nice sweet flavor and made from scratch. Cashier was nice but extremely busy with take out orders. Only gave it 4 stars because you couldn't dine in. Only tables and chairs where outside in front of the restaurant. So, if it's scorching hot outside or there's a storm, you'll be having fun eating out there. Other than that, I highly recommend grabbing breakfast from here. Ten o Six is a take out beach place that provides all of the amenities that a take out beach place should. No reason to go overboard, no reason to put parsley everywhere or serve your drink with a novelty umbrella. When food is simple and good it is just that, simply good. Friendly and easy to talk to staff. Simple menu with enough options that you don't want more or feel overwhelmed. It's a rare thing to find a place with its own identity in a tourist town. As for the breakfast biscuits I can say this, while I ate I had my sunglasses hanging from my neck and some food dropped onto the glasses. I did not reach for a napkin to wipe it away. I went full caveman and licked it clean before I noticed people looking at me.......no shame here. Great spot. read more

literally the worst customer service experience of my life. i placed an order for a burrito and a cup of water. but the receipt showed i was charged 1.99 for the cup and when i asked the kind girl who took my order about it, her manager stepped in and with a very exasperated tone asked what the problem was. he rolled his eyes at me and said seemed very mad i was asking. i said i didn't appreciate the hostility and his attitude when i was just asking for help. he asked if i would like the whole order refunded. i thought he meant that he was comping the order for my experience. instead when i asked him to place the order again, he told me i wasn't welcome in his establishment and i needed to leave. i don't know who hurt this man, but if this is how he treats people, i can't recommend this place to anyone. proceed with caution. read more

He helped me research an investment property that I was bidding on and went out of his way to pull out his laptop and search public records on the property. We recently purchased next door to this little plaza. We were leaving to go to Millers for breakfsst down the road when we spotted this place. We went over and were able to get fresh decaf. We ordered biscuits and gravy and french toast. We ate it for 2 days. Toby is friendly in an authentic really likes to meet people way. Wonderful little gem. This is a takeout place so don't expect anything but great food, coffee and drinks. You can sit outside of you like. My first trip to OBX and I discover this little gem. The first day there I went in when I was on my morning walk. I had the blueberry tea (iced) it was amazing. I had every intention to return later for some food after speaking with Toby. He was very friendly and did a great job breaking down various items on the menu. Well the day got away from me and I missed it, planned on coming back the following day and but the were closed. I made it there though Thursday the day before we left and can I just say I really like the French toast and I ordered bacon and it was amazing. My husband got the burrito which he liked but it was soo much so ( though not a fan of breakfast burritos) I helped polish it off. We went back the following morning on are way home and he got a custom burrito and i the French toast again, with potatoes and bacon. I came to the conclusion after eating the bacon, that they really know what they are doing with bacon. It was so good and I couldn't figure out why. We both agreed that our next trip and any future trips to OBX have to include "Ten O Six". read more

I ate here about a month ago and thought I should leave a review because I keep thinking about how good it was. It's deli-style so there is no wait staff, but they do bring it out to you and there are some tables to sit at outside if you want to eat there. Personally I like this, because it helps keep the cost down. I ate here for breakfast with my boyfriend and two friends. It was honestly the best meal we ate while we were in the Outer Banks for a long weekend. We each got a breakfast burrito and everyone loved theirs.
