I had a beer, my wife had a espresso martini, and my son had an HR problem. My wife said the the espresso martini was really good. My son is newly 21 so he didn't really have much of an opinion about the HR problem.

Their beer is fun, innovative and isn't afraid to explore. Although it may not be groundbreaking but making good beer doesn't always have to be. Even if beer isn't your jam I highly recommend stopping in and tasting the menu that Chef Kathryn Fink has created and Everytime I'm here there's always something new to try be it a weekly special or the ever changing menu. The smoked whitefish pate is outstanding and always a great starter. The look and feel of Monnik always reminds me of a cottage in the mountains and after spending time inside it's so easy to get lost and forget where you're at. As for the service it's always top notch and helpful. I've spent countless hours at the bar asking about different styles of beer and what makes them special. The best part about it is it never feels judgmental or pretentious just good service done the right way. Hats off to you all. Cheers.

A win for me…read more I've enjoyed a nice beer at their small bar that feels like a whole in the wall, but recently I ordered out sushi and a cheesesteak - and where else could I get such a combo, but Drafthouse? The sushi was fresh and stacked--an excellent serving. I particularly liked my Spicy Storm: tempura salmon, jalapeno, cucumber with spicy crab and avocado, eel sauce, and wasabi sauce on top. Nice kick, cooled off by the crab and avocado. Great crunch, as well! The sleeper win was the cheesesteak. I went with chicken, which I rarely do. At first bite, I was a little confused, because the flavor isn't the Philly style I'm used to. I realized there were bits of bacon (says that on the menu-whoops), but it didn't over power the flavor, it add almost a sweet smokiness. And their beer cheese? SO GOOD.

We went for Burger Week and got the crab rangoon burger and the sushi Burger and man oh man in my glad that we picked this place as our only Burger Week restaurant. The sushi Burger was amazing as the "bun" was made out of sticky rice which had been fried and used as the bun. Inside was a nice avocado California roll type filling with some creamy crab added in. I do not know what it was called but I would 100% love to be able to get it again. The crab rangoon Burger was also amazing and I cannot tell you which one I liked better. Apparently people come here for their crab rangoons! The Ambiance is one of a dive bar but not as messy as you would think a dive bar would be I am not sure how to classify this bar/restaurant. But if the Bambi is a dive bar then I guess this place is too. Service was great including the cook who also took turns being a server. He definitely put care into his work! The Baristas were busy and did a good job.

It finally did, so off to Trellis Brewing we went. And what a happy little discovery. The outdoor space is fantastic: family-, kid-, and dog-friendly, surrounded by old buildings that give the whole area a cool, nostalgic, industrial vibe. They've done a really great job with the space. Inside, you'll find a mix of tables and booths, friendly people, and a laid-back atmosphere that feels genuinely welcoming rather than just saying it's welcoming. I also love that Trellis embraces the whole kids + parents + dogs brewery situation. You can't always get a babysitter, and so smart!!. More importantly: the beer is very good, and so is the food. I had the smashburger and fries, my husband had a Banh mi Dog, and we shared the pickled vegetables--which were tangy & delish . Everything was reasonably priced, and the service was bright, friendly, and helpful. It is counter service, but honestly, it fits the casual atmosphere perfectly. Bonus points: dogs are welcome inside, too. They just can't be on the couches, which seems like a perfectly reasonable boundary even though Gypsy may disagree. Gypsy had an excellent evening, made approximately 47 new friends, and thoroughly approved. I could absolutely see us becoming regulars here. Great beer, good food, cool space, dogs welcome. I'm sold.

There are also picnic tables out front. You get a faint whiff of the grill/smoker upon entering. Kylie was our bartender and she was fabulous - knowledgeable, friendly, and answered all of our questions with patience. Wife ordered a mango margarita and doesn't like a lot of tequila, so Kylie went half and gave her a shot on the side in case she wanted to add more. It was wonderful. I had a couple of beers. We started with the fried mushrooms, which aren't what you would expect. It's two large portobellos cut into chunks, battered, fried, and served with sun-dried tomato mayo. They were great. I then ordered a duck taco, brisket taco, and a side of Grippo Fries with smoked mayo. I'd never tried duck but that taco was smack-a-lackin'. The brisket taco was also good, and the fries were fantastic - sweet and spicy, fresh cut, and crispy. Wife ordered a pork belly slider and truffle fries. She enjoyed the slider but didn't care for the fries - just not her thing. The portions here are large. A side of fries will feed three people. We took a hefty portion of them home, as well as some of the mushrooms. We could've sat there at the bar and spent 3 hours socializing and enjoying a smattering of cocktails - love the setting. Look forward to going back and trying one of the burgers at some point.
