Whenever I think of eating outside, I head to the TEN20 Craft Brewery. It is simply the best place in Louisville to sit outside--either with friends or my dog--and have pizza and drink beer and talk with runners or bicyclists or people playing board games or dog people or people just sitting outside and enjoying themselves. It is also a romantic place; it may be concrete and wood and picnic tables outside, but I have always seen at least one or two couples leaning across a table in the corner and talking and smiling in that way couples do. The food is excellent (there IS much more than pizza ), and there is a broad choice of beers. And the prices are reasonable. Go. Sit outside with your love or your dog--or both! read more

Went in with friends as i was visiting from out of town. The brewery has several beers to choose from. Several were tasted & enjoyed. The food menu is limited- pizza & nachos were ordered. The description of the pizza on the menu doesnt do justice for their pies. They are good size & the scoops of ricotta were large! The crust is a hand tossed not too thin or thick. Night was so relaxing that the only thing I got a picture of was this bomb ass pizza. My only complaint was the pepperoni was little spicy, I am weak so take this with a huge grain of salt. Great crust on the pizza and awesome service. The cashier was super friendly and helpful when my friend and I wanted to split the bill. The bar did not have any cider but I was recommended to try and mix the seltzer and the sour. Honestly it was great, I don't like sours alone so it was surprising to me that a blend of the two ending up paying off for my tastebuds. I didn't get to take any pictures while I was there. But this place is really cool, there are a lot of spaces and there were 2 events going on while we were there. We watched a bit of the open mic comedy which was nice and then sat outside on the patio area and it was nice and beverages choices were decent. I was able to get a mocktail and it was delicious. Downside very small parking lot so street parking or finding a parking lot and walking. They have a small business that sales food which is okay, and they have a decent size menu but they seem to get busy and our pizza was definitely over baked okay on the flavors and size. The pretzels and beer cheese and mustard were 10/10. Perfect size for sharing. The severs kept the place clean and keep picking up empty glasses and even took my finished glass while we were outside which was nice. Definitely a great spot we didn't get to see the game room but neat place for the area.. read more

I would give this place 4 stars if it wasn't for the beer prices. I can't justify a wheat beer at $8.75, when I can grab a similar brew at another brewery for $6 or $7. I've been here a handful of times with friends or for events and I've never had a beer that I couldn't live without. Now I will say, the space is nice, the patio is lovely and they do host fun events like the comedy show I just attended. "What an awesome way to spend a Saturday," I exclaimed to my boyfriend as we exited Ten20. It is so comfy cozy inside with a mix of couches, low tops and high tops. Service was friendly and attentive -- while you initially order at the counter, the bartenders came by to clear drinks and bring back refills. They don't directly serve food but there's a little nook by the entrance, and you can order your choice of tacos or pizza. We chose pizza this time from MozzaPi, and we really loved The Florenza with pesto & chicken. Gluten free crust is available as well. Best part is we could bring our dog inside, so it was an ideal way to have something fun to do while escaping the heat. We hung out for a few hours and played cards, enjoying a few drinks. Oh, and if you're not a beer drinker, they have tasty cocktails; I was very happy with my Old Fashioned. This is 100% a new spot in our weekend rotation, yay! read more

It is probably about time I say that I am a fan of TEN20. I am not the biggest fan of their beers, but the cocktails are great and I am pleased that they have a wide variety of beer styles to choose from, so this sour and seltzer lover can find something to drink. I work here often with Louisville Silent Disco, and I visit here fairly often for other events and to do something outside of the house. The space is huge and inviting and fantastic for so many occasions. The staff are lovely and I have a good time anytime I am here. I know for certain that I will be back here and often. I've only been to this brewery for NYE Silent Disco. 2023 was the first time I'd been here and if I remember correctly, they only had one bar open - which led to extremely long lines almost all night. For 2024, there were 3 separate bar areas, which was a definite plus. The beer offered for the NYE midnight toast was pretty good but once again, because it was a free toast, the lines were a bit much. And people were still ordering cocktails and other drinks as well. The space is huge, with plenty of room to dance it out. I'd definitely come back to try more of their beers as well as pizza. We've really enjoyed the silent disco being here for NYE the past few years. read more

I used to live in the neighborhood until late 2023, so I enjoy going down to TEN20 whenever I can. I was there this past weekend and sat in my happy place, their patio, surrounded by dozens of people predrinking before the Lou City game. 10/10 WARNING: There are many new(er) "No Parking" zones on Washington St, and I ended up getting a $45 ticket despite the poorly posted signs that are easily hidden by the large trees lining the street. read more

Great Beer, Industrial Setting, and Forgettable Pizza. Beer definitely delivers. My husband enjoyed both of the IPAs on tap and I absolutely loved the pineapple mango sour. I love when a friend introduces me to a new place that I wind up loving. Ten20 in Anchorage is just such a place. After saying for ages that we would get together, friends and I decided to meet to catch up at Ten20 in Anchorage. It was centrally located for all of us and the perfect spot for an afternoon of leisurely visiting. I drank the Blueberry Faux-jito, and it was so beautiful and delicious. We sat under the shade of a tree while we visited, and once I got hungry there was a small array of snacks inside that I didn't hesitate to try out. I do wish they offered something more substantial like a charcuterie board, but maybe that's in the works. The interior is just as beautiful and inviting as the outside. Intimate tables are clustered around throughout, and downstairs are some comfortable chairs accompanied by board games. I'll add this to my list of places to revisit! read more

What a fun brewery! This place is huge and perfect for large parties. I've actually attended an event here and it did not feel crowded at all. I've had their Barrel-Aged Cherry Sour and the Hurricane Sour and prefer the Hurricane one. It is delicious! For food you can order from Happy Belly Bistro (I tried the quesadilla) or MozzaPi (I had the Spinach and Ricotta Pizza) and you really cannot go wrong with either one! While I am not a big fan of beer, I am a huge fan of this place! The atmosphere is really chill and just a cool spot to hang out. There's been a couple of cool events here such as YPAL, Somebody Society, and I even went to silent yoga on the roof. I would highly recommend this place to anyone! My leadership group went here one night and it also has spiritless and alcohol free options for those who can't have alcohol. The pizza is also always good! read more

Good vibe at Ten20 Brewery with very good Artisian pizza. Ordered Spinach & Ricotta- good crust and pizza. Then ordered Famous Spicy Giardiniera Red Sauce, Shredded Mozzarella, Cheddar, Pepperoni, & Pickled Vegetables (Roasted Red Peppers, Onions, Serrano Peppers, Celery) with Sausage and without. Crust was doughy on sausage pizza but the original Famous Spicy Giardiniera was perfect- great flavor, crunch on crust was perfect. Highly recommend - very hip location too. Ten20 has been on my list of breweries to try for quite some time now and it was a 5 star experience. The building looks so inviting with lots of outdoor seating out front. We didn't get to explore all of the inside of back patio, but what we did like what we saw and had no complaints. Dare I say, they may have my new favorite beer in the city- Berry Proud. I liked it so much, I didn't get to try others this trip. We also tried the pizza at Mozzapi. Highly recommend as well! Only downside of this place is the parking, so plan ahead that you may have to walk a bit if no parking is available nearby. Worth the walk though! read more

Stopped in at TEN20 Brewery when visiting family in Louisville on a Sunday afternoon. There is a small lot attached as well as street parking- we got super lucky in finding a spot right out front! TEN20 has outdoor patio seating as well as indoor- it was sliiiightly too cold so we opted for indoor. I would say this is a very family-friendly place as there were several families with children- as well as a "silent disco" taking place! I had the "Flying Pig" which was really refreshing! We ordered MozzaPie as well which was awesome. One star removed- we had some weird service where the bartender wouldn't serve one of our drinks in a glass glass because there were kids around- but the other members of our group had glassware and we weren't sitting near the kids. Another brewery visit in the books for me on this as well. I have been here a few times mostly for Lou Ale trail, Yelp Elite event and most recently 502 Books and Brews. I also came here when they first opened in late 2020. This brewery is located in the heart of Butchertown. Parking lot in front is very small but there is street parking as well. This brewery is also big and spacious but, no bar seating here and there's a kicker there for me. There is plenty of table seating and some sofa seating. This is what I would call upscale compared to other breweries in the city, however you don't need to dress upscale. They also have Happy Belly Bistro for food and I noticed this visit they added a pizza kitchen in the same building. I didn't get to try this visit. I ordered one of their specialty flights for this visit and got my Books and Brews passport stamped as well. I've had quite a few of their beers here but, I really liked the flight I got this time, 1834 and porter were my Favorite. My reason for four stars is parking and no bar seating, other than that I have no complaints about this place. I do need to try the food here and do another specialty flight as well. This place is HUGE!! no problem as tons of people seem to always be here. They got an outdoor patio at the front, a few rooms inside with TVs to watch sports, and an outdoor area with gravel but still tons of tables! Wow! You can bring pets here as I did see folks with their dogs. Seems family friendly too as I did see folks with their kids. It's cute to stay here and lounge a bit. You can even order pizza from MozzaPi. I got some sort of IPA. Decent. My friends also enjoyed their drinks. The vibe is really my favorite thing about this place. Soo much room! They had live music here. It was also a Saturday night and the weekend of Oktoberfest. Maybe that's why they were so slammed? Parking wasn't hard to find. We parked around the block. What an amazing venue! This place has huge aspirations and will be a Mecca of office parties in the future! The beers are amazing, and I've seen how the staff are meticulous with their attention to the brewing. Our company wanted this as a venue for our Xmas party but had to cancel last minute due to the Covid situation. The staff were understanding in cancellation, and very communicative when we were planning. The music isn't so loud on a week day that you can't hear your friends talk or have a business conversation, and the seating options are very comfortable. Lots of open air space, and the indoors is very large. I would say if you fancy a place to have a business meeting, this could be the new "coffee shop." A plus is the food options available are very tasty. I would recommend the giardiniera pizza! read more

My first visit to Ten20 Brewery was amazing and easily a 5-star visit. Located on E Washington Street, Ten20 uses all of its space for patio seating and there isn't a parking lot so you will need to find street parking. Fantastic front patio with various types of seating and chairs, more seating options inside (and well as TVs) and now a back patio lot. The back patio is very new and not as nice as the front, but they offered a tent to pump out beer - super convenient. Service was amazing. Carrying a card machine, the servers run from table to table picking up empty glasses and ringing in/running new beer orders. Super easy to start and close a tab. They were also gracious about providing cold glasses of ice water to keep you hydrated in the sun. Happy Belly Bistro runs a permanent food truck there. Menus can be pulled up online, allowing you to order and pay. You're assigned a pick up time but the team also pages you when the food is ready. Inside Ten20 is a table for pick up. So easy and delicious! We sat on the patio for 5 hrs!! Relaxed and caught up with friends. Started with the sun and ended with the moon. Location is seat yourself. If it's busy you have to eyeball for an open table. Popular option for Louisville City soccer fans because of location near stadium (beware of game schedule!). read more

Large Brewery with plenty of seating inside and out. There's a small parking lot but there is some street parking. When I was here, the backroom was rented out for a birthday party which was pretty cool. Curtains can separate the rooms for privacy if needed. We got a flight of 4: Kolsch - was super light and easy to drink. This is a good beer for the summer as it is pretty crisp and refreshing. 1834 Premium Lager - A tad lighter than the Kolsch but a similar profile. Very light and refreshing and easy to drink. Coconuts in the Garden - This is by far my favorite. Great coconut smell and flavor. Also fairly light but really good. Pumpkin Lager - You can smell the pumpkin and there's a hint of it in the taste but not a bad beer. Still pretty easy to drink. There are two places to order food on site when we came. We ended up ordering birria Tacos from Happy Belly Bistro. They were really good and definitely recommend! Cool spot with comfortable lounging and there ate some high tops next to outlets. We saw lots of people with their laptops and tablets here and there are some large TV screens to watch some sports here as well! read more

This place is just wonderful. We stopped in here to grab a beer and was very surprised that they have a wood fire pizza oven. Everything exceeded my expectations here. The pizza was one of the best I've had in all of Louisville and the beer is top notch. They have a wide variety of beer and even had seltzer on tap for people who don't like craft beef. This is a great spot for large groups- there are multiple spaces inside that can accommodate large or small groups. The patio is nice and has a combination of sun and shade. Perfect place for our company's holiday party! We reserved the back room, which was very large and spacious. There is a also a small patio in the back where they opened the garage door so our party could sit outside by the fire pits. We were able to choose the drinks of our choice and relax and socialize with our co-workers. They have a great selection of craft beers, wine, bourbon, cocktails, and soft drinks. The event manager was super nice and accommodating! We ordered catering from MozzaPi and everyone enjoyed their appetizers and pizzas. We also were able to bring in our own desserts. This is such a neat brewery in the Butcher-town area. It is definitely eye catching and I loved the outdoor seating for you to bring your pups. The place is quite spacious and there are plenty of places to sit and have a good craft brew. You order prior to sitting down. They are also partnered with Happy Belly Bistro which you place your order by phone and they text you when it's ready. The industrial vibe of this place is pretty cool, nice place to chill out and sample beers. My friend and I had a beer a piece and headed home for the evening. COVID precautions are in effect and all staff follows accordingly. There is a small area where they sell there shirts and cups which are pretty cool.
