Great atmosphere, friendly service, and delicious food. We had the Burgers on the Bricks special the Garlic Crunch Stack, the holy hog nachos and the battle frites. The burger was large juicy and dripping with delicious sauce, topped crunchy onions and fried pickles. The nachos were loaded with tasty pulled pork, cheese, black olives, tomatoes and jalapeno and good to the last bite. The fries had a sweet tangy rub and were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. We will be back to try other things on their extensive menu. read more

I've heard this place gets crazy packed so we were pleasantly surprised when we showed up on a Sunday evening and had the spot to ourselves. Our server was awesome. Down to earth, accommodating, and personable. We got the nachos, which were decent, and split the two-piece fish and chips. I was impressed with the latter dish, as the portion was very generous and the fish was crispy without being too oily, plus the fries had an interesting sweet and salty spice. The winner winner chicken dinner was the Old Fashioned, which might have been the best I've had in Louisville. Classy glass, stirring stick, luxardo cherries, and a big honking rock of ice. The drink was smooth and balanced, and I totally broke my rule of only having one (and paid for it the next day). Visited yesterday to try their special for New Albany's Burger on the Bricks week. Their burger was fantastic! It had fried pickles, fried onion straws, garlic aioli, and a cheese sauce. The burger itself reminded me a of a delicious backyard burger, straight off the grill. It was perfect to enjoy with the strawberry sour outside on the patio. Not to mention... THEIR FRIES. I have heard of this place but never actually been until recently. I have had their beers at beer festivals but, never been to the brewery. While in New Albany, I decided to visit here to see what it was actually like. Going inside, it was kinda like being inside a medieval castle, silly I know but, true. I sat at the bar and had prompt service. I had the Leprechaun Gold beer which is a blonde ale. That was the only beer I had there and didn't do a flight like I normally would when visiting a new to me brewery. I did browse the food menu even though there were good options, there wasn't anything on there that I was in the mood for. If you are going here with a group of people don't bother. They can't keep the group orders straight and it took forever. We were the only customers in there. Food orders weren't correct. Food was over cooked. Once food was dropped off, server never came back. I don't know what's better about Floyd County brewing, the Monty Python theme or the red telephone booth outside that contains an ATM. We dropped by this location on a Sunday evening just looking for a place to hang out. We were warmly welcomed in, and the menu specials were listed right behind the hostess desk. We decided to sit at the bar which gave us an ample view of the beer menu, which were all very interestingly named, like the fighting monk or the flying monk. I ordered a sour and he had an IPA. We thoroughly enjoyed our drinks. The other thing that made the space better was all the medieval weapons that were on the walls. It was a very fun atmosphere. First time eating here and the food was not good. We were expecting great food because of the ratings, but unfortunately the food was really bad. As adventurous folks, my wife had read some really good reviews. So we decided to load up the car and check the place out. We gathered our friends hoping for a delicious meal and some good ambiance. At first glance, the establishment would seem as if it would be a good night. We were seated promptly and the server came right to the table. It was a last night around 7 when we came. Getting seated right away, this should have been a queue that maybe we picked the wrong restaurant. Very slow and on a Friday night at peak time. Anyway we were excited to try a new place. We decided to order the pretzel with beer cheese and an order of fried pickles. We were a table of 6, thinking the ordering two appetizers would hold us over until we could get our food. The pretzel sticks were $11.00 and the pickles were $9.00. When we received the pretzel and beer cheese it was 4 pretzel sticks and. Hers that tasted as if it had set out for days. When the pickles came, they were also a very small portioned amount and very thick cut. Started out already disappointing as the waitress stated "oh I should have told you that the pretzel was a small portioned, do you want me to put another order in" year for $11.00 bucks. No thanks. Then came the meals. I ordered the fish and chips. Come on, it's fish and chips how hard could it be. I think I could have gotten a better meal at Long John Silver and would haven't paid as much as I did. I could say that no one at the table left feeling that the $153.00 we spent was really worth it. I have been to the Floyd County Brewery three times now. I don't think I'll be back for a fourth time. Each time I've been in I can't help but feel I am an inconvenience to either the bartender or our server. Even when it was a little slower paced. As someone who works in the service industry, I understand feeling over worked at times. I try to be understanding, but no customer wants to feel like a burden when they are coming in to relax or unwind with friends and family. When we received our orders of food, it became clear, eat elsewhere. Pretzel apps were obliterated to some unreal dark color. Zucchini chips were fried to death. My "Philly burger" was comical. One rouge slice of raw bell pepper and one slice of onion made it on to an absolutely hammered patty that had been twice cooked (I cut my burger in half before taking pic). Served totally dry with zero options for dressings unless asked for. My buddies spicy burger came with 4 jalapeños and HALF a slice of cheese. Salmon on another plate was cooked beyond belief. We've been going to Floyd County Brewing since they opened several years ago. The last 2 times we've been there I could definitely tell the quality was slipping. Yesterday we went and sat outside because it was a beautiful day. Our waitress was great. I ordered a burger with a salad instead of fries. The cheese in the salad had the dry powdery stuff all over it and strands of the cheese were dark orange and hard. The cheese was clearly spoiled and unappetizing. The waitress took it back to the kitchen and she brought out another salad. No manager came out to our table to apologize. The kitchen told the waitress the cheese wasn't bad. The new salad had fresh cheese, no hard strands and no white powdery stuff. Sad that the last 2 times haven't been what we are used to at Floyd County Brewing, so I hope they catch and stop these problems before it becomes a serious problem for their establishment. read more

Downtown New Albany has a lot to offer and FCBC is one of my favs! Awesome beer selection but they also have great cocktails. The food is really good but it's the venue & vibe that I really love. Had lunch here last week with my daughter on our boutique and gallery hopping day around Southern IN and Louisville. We had the fried zucchini for an appetizer and shaped the spicy dipping sauce for rach. Good size portion . They were hot and crispy but a bit greasy. We then split a reuben that was pretty good and fries. I asked specifically for hot fries, and they were not. The server did bring us each an additional order and they were piping hot. OK, this place is awesome. My wife took me here for my birthday. We'd never been before, so it was one of those "Just drive, I'll tell you where to go" deals. When we arrived and walked in I was suddenly thrust into the days of yore, with their Medieval décor and atmosphere. Banner and Flags and tapestries and beers from a nobler time make you wish you were there (well, me anyway.) We were seated in what I'm suddenly going to call The Loft, where I could look down at the other townspeople partaking of drink and food and merriment. Jim (that's me!) had a beer flight and a club sandwich. My wife tried a cider or two. The service was surprisingly fast, our server friendly and knowledgeable, and the atmosphere most merry. The grog...er...beer was good, however Yon Hoppy Beer of Yore (read that: MoHOPoly) was the IPA that said to all the other "You guys sit back. *I* shall be the hoppiest beer in existence" because it was The Hoppiest Beer I Have Ever Had. EVER. It's like they held back on ALLLL the hops and put it in this one brew. And it showed. Imagine a beer (if you could) putting some kind of silly prize hat and dancing around saying "I'm the hoppiest beer in the world! LOOK AT ME! I am The Hoppity-hoppiest beer In The World and you can't do anything about it!"..then gives a raspberry. That's what MoHOPoly is like. DAMN, that was one hoppy beer...but I loved it. Likewise the Tap Infuser, which was the MoHOPoly, but with an Espresso kicker. I'm think I'm still a) awake and 2) tasting that one! The club sandwich I had was, like, HUGE. I very seldom don't finish a meal in a restaurant, but this bad boy became a later-that-night snack. I'm such a peasant. They have some pretty awesome and unique swag at Floyd County. Their mugs (yea, I got one. It was my birthday) are SWEET! The long sleeve t-shirts (yea, I got one. It was my birthday) are awesome. They had other swag, too, but I didn't get that because I didn't want to be THAT greedy...(but I will when I go back). There are quite a few nods to Monty Python at Floyd County Brewing. I especially loved it because as I was coming up, Monty Python was a huge...massive...ENORMOUS comedic influence on me. So...I was basically right at home. Stoped in for a night of beer, food and music and was not disappointed! We started off with the Oktoberfest beer, crisp clean flavor, along with this we ordered the Wee Hot Chicken dip and the Parmesan Crusted Zucchini as our starters. The dip had great flavor and plenty of chips and celery to finish the entire bowl. The zucchini was battered and cooked perfectly with a amazing flavor and a nice spicy horseradish sauce. Another round of beers this time I tried a red ale (one of my favorites) one word "delicious " Floyd county's house beers are amazing! For an entree I had the Philly burger and fry's with grilled peppers, onions and provolone cheese, I chose the bison meet witch was cooked to perfection, this sandwich had great flavor and the fry's were quite tasty as well. Wow! A place that I used to love, has gone so far downhill!! They brought back the seasoning, but the portions and service are suffering!! Unfortunately, this will join Boomtown as a New Albany relic. My wife, 8 year old, and I went here tonight and while I understand they were busy (at first), the rush died down and the staff cared more about catching up with each other rather than taking care of their customers. We started as always- Leprechaun's gold, water, and ordered an app. The server was great- at first- then disappeared.... Our entree's came out, ok- where is the appetizer? The runner asked if we needed anything; yes- napkins, silverware, condiments. She got them for us. The table across from us said, "good luck. We had to wait until our food was cold to get anything!" My wife's bbq sandwich was a mess! The bun not underneath anything, the top off to one side. She was getting mad. Where is the app? Finally, the server showed back up? Another beer? Sure pal, also, where are the pretzels and look at her sandwich (as well as the 10 fries we had between us). Oh, well, sorry, it happens. I can put that in for you (me - knowing my wife is not going to eat the sandwich); "yes, please." We finally get the pretzels and my wife brings up the sandwich again, to which the server apologizes (saying sorry everything is going wrong for you) and quickly asks if he can put in another beer for her. At least ask if it can be remade, or try to act like you care! The training program seems amazing! Upsell, upsell, upsell!! Like I said, I used to visit Floyd Brewing weekly, I unfortunately, have visited for the last time. Great vibe, tasty brews, friendly wait staff, but I take issue with the pretzel. I'm a man who loves a hearty, full pretzel, and while the pretzels at FCBC had the length that I hope for, if I'm being totally honest they were a little soft for my taste. Call me old fashioned but I love a stiff pretzel, and I expect some stiffness when I come to Indiana! The bier cheese had some pop and great cheesy flavor, but it was just a tad too liquidy - when I took a big bite of my hot, soft pretzel dipped in cheese, I ended up with sauce all over my chin and lap. It's 2022, people! I can't be getting hosed down with bier cheese off a flaccid pretzel at 3:30 in the afternoon. Highly recommend the Raspberry Rapture, it's perfect for setting the tone for a boys' night out. read more

Great little brewery with some delicious food! I've never had a bad meal. Yesterday I decided to try something different and it definitely hit the spot. Side note, I was excited to dig in and didn't think to take a picture until it was almost gone It was the California Dreaming sandwich which included turkey, bacon, avocado, and aoli sauce (also lettuce and tomatoes, but I didn't get them). They normally have a cider but unfortunately not this time, but there was a delicious seltzer to quench my thirst. I've been a long time customer for Floyd County Brewing. It was a go to for food and drinks. Their beer is so good! However, and I assume to staffing issues, their food is not what it use to be. The menu is about half of what it use to be. Pretty much all of my favorite items have been removed. Their club sandwich was one of the best around. What is on the menu now is just average. Unfortunately FCBC to me is a place for beer and live music in the back with typical bar food. It makes me sad. read more

What a great surprise! We went looking for late supper in Southern Indiana and pickings are slim after 9pm, especially during the week! We stumbled upon this spot as they were still open and they GLADLY sat us after 9pm! The waitress was pleasant even though we were the last customers. Food was pretty straightforward and good. I had the fish and chips. The cod was thick and just done perfectly- flaky and tender. The French fries had an interesting seasoning that was both salty and sweet. Two thumbs up on that original flavor. My husband's Philly burger and kettle chips were done to his liking and had plenty of ingredients. I particularly enjoyed the beer cheese and pretzels- great big pretzel sticks! The cheese was an unusual concoction that kinda seemed like a mustard cheese blend. Idk, but the taste was pretty fabulous. The old English pub decor and fare was neat. We don't have any other English pubs in the area to my knowledge. I ordered the house margarita which was tasty, and regretted doing that after I realized they are actually a microbrewery. Their beer names are original and funny. On a Thursday evening we visited FBC in downtown New Albany to attend a fundraiser for Life Span Resources. The band JuiceboxHeros and FBC cosponsored. We arrived early for a bite. Bison burger and house seasoned fries both delicious. The craft brew choices are many. After a sampling we enjoyed the seasonal ambers. Service was very friendly and attentive. After dinner we moved outdoors to the event which was held in the spacious beer garden. The garden has plenty of seating under shade trees and elevated deck areas and had nice landscaping. The permanent band stage was so unique! The garden shade trees found through out the space reaches up and through the stage! Sounds a bit odd yet the band "playfully" enjoy it! Great spot to spend a summer evening. Highly recommended. Full bar. Brewery is on site and has viewing windows. Street and lot parking. Clean and newly remodeled facilities. read more

Finally getting around to posting a review after years of visiting Floyd County Brewing Company. My wife and I started visiting for the beer but we were pleasantly surprised to find some amazing food and a great outdoor space behind the main building. For food we really like their burgers and apps, if you are looking for something on the lighter side their baby spinach berry salad is a favorite of my wife's. This most recent visit I chose the Brewer burger with bison meat and the holy hog nachos. Both were very good and plenty of food for the two of us. On the beer side of things they have a wide variety of their own beers on draft, everything from IPAs to sours and stouts. I recommend the Cicada's All Day if you are looking for a refreshing IPA that isn't too hoppy and at 4.9% ABV it's not a heavy hitter. Most importantly the service is always great, the staff are always friendly, knowledgeable about beer, and on top of things. Even though it's a bit of a drive for us we always make the time to visit. read more

I recently visited Floyd County Brewing Company for lunch with a friend. I hadn't been to this spot before, and I was looking to try out a new spot, so I chose this one in the area. I'm glad I got to try it, because it's really good! During our visit their outdoor seating area was closed, but the seating inside was distanced, so we felt good about dining here. Our service was quick, friendly, and attentive, which we appreciated throughout our meal. I was in the mood for appetizers, so I ordered the Able Archers Pretzels & Bier Cheese, which is warm soft salted pretzel sticks served with house-made bier cheese, and the Wee Hot Chicken Dip, which is made with Buffalo Bier Sauce and served with tortilla chips. Both of these options were delicious, served hot and fresh, and they are definitely enough to share! I ended up bringing a lot home with me. They have a large beer menu, and I opted for the Prarie Artisan Ales Rainbow Sherbet Sour. I love sour ales, and this one was really tasty! My friend ordered the Sun King Brewery Orange Vanilla Sunlight Cream Ale, which I've tasted, and it's delicious as well. They had some great offerings, and I loved the drawings on their menu! This is a great spot for lunch. We got in and out in under an hour without issue, and definitely could have spent a lot more time, and drank a lot more beer, if we had the opportunity! read more

I have visited Floyd County Brewing Company many times over the last few years and enjoyed the Old World Europe theme they bring to New Albany. My husband and I always have a beer or two at this brewery when we are in the area. They have a live music venue called The Enchanted Forest Live which looks amazing from the outside. It does cost $5 to enter the outdoor space when they are offering entertainment. We sat inside at the bar and I instantly knew what I wanted. If there is a Hefeweizen on the menu, it is a no-brainer for me. My husband opted for the same and we enjoyed our beer while the friendly staff worked hard to serve the crowd food and drinks. The Hefeweizen was slightly on the light side but a good beer for the summer heat. Next time we are in the area, I have to try the Fish & Chips Basket for sure. read more

With COVID, I haven't been venturing over to Indiana much at all. A friend I haven't seen in a while invited me out and with the amazing weather, I figured the patio couldn't be that bad. Oh how wrong I was. While most people at least wore a mask while in line for food and drinks, there was very little social distancing taking place. And with a band playing, it seemed like the capacity limits just went to the wayside. As far as food and drinks, I ordered the pretzel and beer cheese along with the Bavarian Rapture (their Hefeweizen). The beer was very good but I wasn't a huge fan of the beer cheese. I stayed for about an hour and a half until the crowd just got to be too much for me. I'd love to check out more of the menu and beers but it won't be any time in the foreseeable future. read more

Floyd County Brewing Company is such a fun, unique place to have drinks and dinner with friends! The theme here is very Medieval-esque. You can sit inside or outside, and there's so many different places outside where you can sit to enjoy your drink! There is always a variety of drinks on tap to choose from here. I personally go for a hard cider. The menu has a variety of options to choose from, and everything I have tried from here has been delicious. My favorite was the BB-Q-King sandwich. It's a pulled pork sandwich with bbq sauce, sharp cheddar cheese, fried jalapeños and onion straws, on top of a brioche bun. The side of fries it came with were delicious as well! The Hot Chicken and Able Archers Pretzels and Bier Cheese are also great appetizers to get.
