This is a review of their new brick and mortar restaurant in Midtown Santa Fe. The restaurant opened a few days ago and I visited for the first time Friday night. The location is a little odd for the dining scene in Santa Fe, it's not in the heart of town but in Midtown,out by the university. The restaurant itself is gorgeous! Very modern, very clean with a beautiful new built-in wood-fired oven. Considering the restaurant is brand new, the staff are amazingly well trained. Everything worked perfectly! Service was fast and very friendly. The pizza I've had at their mobile location at the El Rey Court was always excellent, but the pizza at the new restaurant is exceptionally better! This is clearly the best pizza restaurant in all of Santa Fe! One further note, they have a full liquor license serving both cocktails, as well as wine and beer. read more

No photos as we gobbled things up so quickly. We started with the blue corn cornbread. It was fantastic. Super moist and sweet thanks to the generous honey butter on top. The space is light and bright and the service was friendly. I had a tasty cocktail and we had the pepperoni pizza and kale pizzas. Both were good but we decided we'll double down on meat and try the sausage pizza next time. The crust was flavorful, puffy and chewy, similar to the one at Esquina (which we also love). We were impressed by how well run it was, especially being so new. Parking was easy as well. Lots of families enjoying themselves. Plus they have a dog friendly patio. I love wood fired oven pizza and Tender Fire does gourmet sourdough pies that are personal sized at 12" each. They are currently operating in the parking lot of El Rey Court so the pizza oven is outdoors and everything is made to order. For 2 pizzas and a shrub, it was $47 including tax and tip. Bring a hat and wear some sunscreen because we waited about 10 minutes in line and another 20-25 minutes for our order to be ready. There's some shady and grassy areas, but this a pet friendly hotel so be careful where you sit. I tried a pineapple shrub to drink which is made of vinegar and sugar. It reminded me of kombucha because of the funkiness from all the vinegar. Not my favorite, but that's just my preference and it was worth a try. For food, we went with the Gosar which had Italian sausage and red onion. The toppings were mostly in the center of the pizza so the dough in the center was a bit underdone. The flavor was still pretty good but I wish that the toppings were more evenly distributed. My favorite pizza was the Date which had pepperoni, mozzarella and dates. This one was cooked perfectly but with less toppings. read more

Went to check in at 6:45pm and they said they were JUST making our pizza also they said to give it another 10 min (We ordered 3 pizzas, 1 margharita, 1 pepperoni & 1 sausage.) My partner who ordered the sausage just threw up whole sausage and red onion (1:50 am) and spent $71.76 on three pizzas that were under cooked and could've caused salmonella poisoning. I ordered the margharita pizza and just the top of the cheese was melted, the rest was whole. Very disappointing pizza and would not recommend if you're wanting to enjoy with friends. You're better off ordering Il Vicino and having a salad as you wait for your food.
