Food took 30 minutes plus. 15 piece chicken tenders were so salty they were all but inedible. I'd have demanded them to remake them but I wasn't willing to wait another 30 minutes. My son's 4 piece took another 5 or 10 minutes beyond ours, and it was less salty, so they're inconsistent rather than just generally inedible. Onion rings are pretty meh. I've been to this restaurant 3 times in the first month that I have moved here. All I can say is that this place is great. The staff is always friendly and ready to help. I asked them if they could help me out with cleaning off a table the young lady at the front desk was very nice and just had awesome customer service. As she worked with other customers she helped them with recommendations on what she thought they may like. Coming from someone who managed a store I would definitely want someone like her on my staff. Keep it up guys and their food is delicious and very reasonably priced! read more

Decided to try this place and it is disgusting. Ordered mozzarella sticks they were half frozen and the sause was compleatly frozen. Wanted to complain but the girl at the counter was gone. This review is from a visit in January 2017: Only been here a couple of times, but was in the mood for buffalo tenders. I go and order the 4 piece meal (includes garlic bread and one side). I also ordered a Large coke also and my bill came out to a little over $9. As I'm waiting there for my food to come out I notice that on the front window there is a big sign that showed Wednesday had a special - a 4 piece meal (same thing I ordered), but WITH a drink for $5.99. Since there's a big difference between $5.99 and over $9 I asked the server if I got the $5.99 special, after a few hems and haws she has to go look up the receipt and responds with well you ordered a 4 piece meal. . and said well the special says 4 piece meal. She said, but you got a drink. . . I said it states there that the drink is included. She then said, no you got the large drink. I responded with - I would think there would be a small upcharge for the large drink from the medium. She said no. . I'm sorry. When she handed me my food she said "I'm sorry" again. No offer to adjust my bill which was quite off putting. So I guess if you go to order one of their specials you have to POINT to the sign and say THAT IS WHAT I WANT to get the special price. Tenders used to be one of my favorite places to get food, up until my trip tonight. I expect the 20-30 minute wait to get my food by now, as I know its worth the wait because the food is so delicious and you get a good portion. However, when I went tonight and ordered my usual meal, the tenders came out looking like sad excuses for what they used to be. A friend happened to be there as well, and his looked the same. It looks as if they cut the tenders they used to use in half and are trying to pass them off like nothing happened. Since they're thinner, when they are fried they lose all their flavor and have a chewy texture - to the point that it reminded me of gum. I used to recommend this place to EVERYONE because I genuinely loved it and thought it was a great deal, but now it's absolutely horrible. I will never eat here again unless they change their tenders back to normal. I've attached pictures of what they look like now, some are thinner than my finger. The food wasn't bad but it did have a different taste than I was expecting. Maybe just an extra spice or something I hadn't had in a chicken finger before. The reason I couldn't give the full 5 stars was that it seemed like all of the employees hated being there and a lot of the booths were ripped up and poorly duct taped back together so it gave the restaurant a bad vibe. Tenders is an underrated champ. Their fried chicken is tender (hence the name ;)), seasoned perfectly, and their sides are amazing. They've got fried mac and cheese which may be one of my favorite sides to get. Tender's usually gets packed quickly but it's definitely worth it by all means. read more

I've been going to Tenders for a few years now, the quality of the chicken is very good and prefer to get them grilled. However, fried tenders are still excellent and probably the most popular choice among customers. The sauce options are pretty good as well, and I only wish they were bigger as this location can get packed during busy hours. read more

I thought Tenders was pretty damn good for a simple homestyle fast-food hybrid. The chicken is of good quality, and can be prepared in a number of ways, including Caribbean-style jerk chicken and the like. There's also plenty of different sauces to choose from. The prices are better than average, but pretty good when you consider that your meal is cooked only when you order it. The only complaints (nothing serious,) is that the chicken is a little on the greasy side no matter how you take it, and the garlic bread seems to be your standard frozen variety garlic bread. I had been craving a good chicken tender and after I stumbled across Tenders - a business that specializes in exactly which that I was craving - I thought it had to be nothing shy of divine timing and to accept my second meal fate. While I rarely give a damn about whether or not a restaurant lacks character or pizazz, it was just something I felt when I first stepped foot inside. There wasn't even a lingering aroma of delicious fried lofty goodness that one would maybe expect to confirm that the decision made was spot on. The booths were also in horrible shape; each one repaired in some way or another by duct tape. They were also noticeably dirty. Even writing and reliving this experience, my inner me is getting angry at the real me for having still followed through with walking up to the counter and proceeding with an order: 10pc tender (5pcs fried / 5pcs grilled) - I wanted to try both 2 sides - coleslaw, tater tots 1 soda - I typically get Diet Coke, but all but two were only available, so I got Sprite and it was disgusting I sipped on my disgusting drink while pondering my now horrible lunch decision, but instead of responding to the countless signs that were before me, I still waited for my order, but I did ask to change it from a dine-in to a carry-out. If I was going to contract an illness, I'd much rather be in the comforts of my own home before the inevitable took place. Verdict on the eats... The tenders weren't horrible. I preferred the grilled ones over the fried. For as long as I waited, I assumed I was getting fresh food, but the fried tenders were chewy and only warm. The breading was soft, as well. The grilled/broiled tenders had a good flavor and were somewhat juicy. The coleslaw is a difficult one to judge because there are so many different variations on how to prepare and serve it. But unfortunately, I wasn't a fan of how they make theirs. The cabbage is in too big of a shred and not dressed/seasoned enough. The only thing I actually really enjoyed were the tater tots. The fried chicken tenders here are so addictive! They taste amazingly "tender"...sorry for the pun. The sides are to die for...everyone needs to try the sweet potato fries, jalapeño corn nuggets and fried Mac n cheese. Writing this review is making me crave it more. The food is made to order but you can call ahead for pick up. They have great deals on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The only complaint I have is that this place does not open on Sundays so when I want tenders I have to wait till the next day but it makes it taste even better because I have to wait...I guess since they make such great food, the chefs are allowed 1 day off ;). Pretty good food for the price. It's almost like a less spicier version of Magoos. The tender sauce is like Magoos sauce except not spicy (mayonnaise/ketchupy) the garlic bread is better than theirs too and the tenders have more meat. The food was average at best the staff was rude apparently they don't take cash if they do you can have anything more than a 20 all in all it was a very unpleasant experience. Clearly there geared towards the college in terms of patrons and while there were a lot of people there it just didn't seem worth the hassle. There are plenty of other really good chicken places around here. I would try one of them first. I stumbled across Tenders last year after pretty much being dragged to go. I thought it was going to be your average chicken place but it's so much more! They have great deals (tenders tuesday/thursday) and the portions are HUGE! I usually get their grilled tenders, which are very flavorful and seasoned unlike other places, but their fried ones are just as good. You can't go wrong either way!
