We were a little desperate for pizza. I love a good local joint. So we gave it a shot. I appreciate the indie wrestling memorabilia. I went for the mama Rosa Detroit style. This ranks probably among the best pizzas I have ever had. Here's the thing too. I had a little mishap getting there so it had been waiting a long time so I never tasted the pizza fresh. And it still ranks among. If not the best ever for me. The dough is thick and chewy. Make sure you get the corner piece with two sides of crispy cheese. The sauce is a little spicy but very flavorful. I love the salty spicy of the regular and cup pepperonis. Then the honey just lets every bite finish sweet. It's such a good combo. It's not cheap but being the only pepperoni eater in the house I turned it into five meals. The wife and kid got a standard pizza. It was ok. It didn't offend and it was tasty but Not worth the price. I don't think I'd get a regular pizza again The ranch tasted a little weird. Like it was more tangy than house ranch should be. It's ok. It's settled in wonderful North Plains, which I find fitting, because when you walk in Teninty's, they greet you with the kind of warmth and kindness that you'd expect from a "small town". It's a family-run business, which I love. You can tell they respect each of their employees. We've ordered *almost* everything from the menu and are always pleased! Their pizzas are a generous size, and they have a variety of drink options (Pepsi products, energy drinks, coffee, and beer. Absolutely delicious. We had the pepperoni pizza, cheese pizza and the strudel type dessert. I have never had such a delicious dough on a pizza. My family knows I still live back east. and they love to run their local pizza places by me to see what I think of them. These social experiments have yielded mixed results, including a '80s, Jersey-style place in White Salmon that's become a staple and a highly lauded "New York style" place in Portland whose pizza I wouldn't feed to my worst enemies. When they took me to Teninty's, I was dubious. North Bend isn't much: It's a timber mill, some poorly designed sprawl, and a whole lot of nothing. Its "downtown" is three shops and some amazing winemaker from Brooklyn who apparently got really lost out here. Its best restaurant is called Old Hich'en Post, presumably because it's where the town keeps its one horse. But stepping into Teninty's assuaged my fears a bit. For one, it's an actual pizza counter: Maybe three booths total, and a quick-working kitchen. They had us sign a contact tracing form because of COVID (smart) and offered us water while we waited. There was a "modern pandemic meets '80s/'90s pizza place vibe to it, and I was there for it. A look at the menu had me dispirited yet again. I counted four pizzas with ranch dressing on them (Oregon, your gross infatuation with this concept speaks ill of you). The "Italian" sub had mustard and mayonnaise on it, as if Italy was wedged somewhere between Minnesota and Wisconsin. There were mozzarella sticks with bacon in them, though I give them points for innovation. Had I stopped at the ambience and the printed menu, this would be a two-star review. But my family suggested we order all of the comfort items. Sis got a sausage calzone, which is no small deal considering Oregon's aversion to that particular menu item. Mom and pops got a margarita pizza and some garlic bread. And I -- after years of unsuccessfully trying to find one on a menu out here -- ordered a chicken parm sandwich. Now, if you're from back east, you occasionally have to train people into making what you actually want. Sis asked for ricotta cheese in her calzone, since it isn't a given. Mom asked for a little more time in the oven for both her pizza and garlic bread, since each can turn out like Pillsbury biscuits if not cooked correctly. I asked for mozzarella instead of the default provolone (why do you do this?) on my chicken parm. The staff had no problem with any of that and seemed to be of the mind that it's the customer's food: They should get what they want. The results? Outstanding. A table across from us had a margarita pizza that looked as if it was a Boboli plucked straight from the freezer at Fred Meyer. My mom's looked as if it came from the place around the corner from her old house in Jersey (oven time, people). Sis' calzone got some extra oven time by mistake, but the deep browning also made it reminiscent of the calzones she used to eat back east. Each said that they've been here a bunch, and that the staff always makes their favorites exactly how they like them. My chicken parm was glorious. It came to the table in foil, it clearly got some time in the pizza oven before it was served to me, and the sauce, cheese and breaded cutlet were neither the best nor worst I've had: Which is EXACTLY what you want out of a chicken parm. It's supposed to be a standby: A sandwich that you can defer to when nothing else jumps out at you. It's supposed to taste roughly similar everywhere you go without tasting like fast food. Even the roll was a decent approximation of a middle-of-the-road East Coast sandwich baguette. You can't open a food cart or a restaurant on Division based on it, but you can keep persnickety East Coasters happy with it. I'm not going to ding this place for doing what it needs to. My family is in the minority here, and for most "Italian" food somehow includes ranch, mayo, and mustard. Teninty's manages to keep that crew happy, but also seems to speak the secret language of the small, East Coast corner pizza shop. Down to its name, Teninty's does a good job disguising itself and its menu as an independent Papa Murphy's. But when it comes to its shop, its pizza-place staples and its ability to play up to customer expectations, Teninty's is far outpacing its Portland counterparts. You don't have to invest in a "New York-style" concept and throw a bunch of photos from the West Village on your walls and play '90s hip hop to be a great and authentic Northeast-inspired pizza shop. You just need to do the little things well. Teninty's is really big on the little things, and it rewards those assertive enough to ask for them. Be good to the staff, but leave your passive "Northwest nice" at the door. read more

I didn't feel super brave and ended up going for a Turkey Pesto sub. It was an amazing sandwich! Every bite was perfect. The bread had a nice crisp crust and good squishy insides. Passing through town so my review is based on one experience. It was very good! Crust and red sauce were yummy. Very cheesy, which I love! Cheesy bread was a win as well. Gem in a little business park! We are traveling from California and try to only eat local when we are traveling. Teninty's already had great reviews, so we went for it. My husband had the buffalo chicken sub. It was filled with a breaded chicken breast. Buffalo sauce was good but not too spicy. I had the chicken bacon (hot) sub. Lots of chicken and bacon plus a bit of oregano. The bread was fantastic. Crispy crust, soft inside. Staff was very friendly and food came out fast. Would definitely recommend. Although the owners are striving for good customer service, the pizza sauce is gross. I have only had the red sauce and it has too much thyme. I tried the spaghetti and meatballs. The meatballs were tasted like something from Costco, which isn't a bad thing, but they were said to be homemade. I seriously doubt that. I tried the m again recently for a taco pizza. Your not suppose to smell old when you bite into a pizza. Something was bad and I wasn't about to try to figure out what. The whole $25 worth of pizza went in the trash. My husband and I now drive over to North Plains if we're at all on the west side of town - I crave Teninty's hot sandwiches. Freshly made, generous, and VERY tasty! I've been going for their chicken parmesan sandwich, but yesterday, I tried the turkey pesto. One bite told me the pesto was home made - it was perfect! No bitterness, just delicious. Teninty's is a great little family-owned spot just off highway 26 in North Plains. I'm becoming a local here and the dining choices are kinda limited. They said it was in the oven. 25 mins later when I asked about it I discovered that they have away my order to another customer. So they remade my order. (they said it would take 20), and watching people get there pizza that came in after us, the kid finally came up to and gave us our pizzas explaining it had been sitting on the oven the whole time as "to go" pizzas. First impression is...small. Four tables along the wall with a large table in the corner. We had a party of six and the only tables that seats more than 4 were either reserved or party of 2 sitting in a 6 top. After some moving of tables, chairs, and some negotiating we made a table work. We ordered 2 large pizzas. One being a pepperoni and the other was a garlic chicken. Garlic chicken was great and the pepperoni was cooked to perfection. While we where eating I noticed the tables being converted into porker tables. 4 out of 6 the tables are now poker tables, Eliminating any more dine in opportunities. We finished up and i was paying the bill. The kids started to get a little rowdy. While I was paying I heard a poker playing, broken down, ex-biker Santa clause looking dude yell out "shut your kids up!" That really pissed me off to the point was going to confront the son of bitch. Anyways, pizza was great, service was spot on. A hidden gem in the Hillsboro/North Plains area. 15 minutes drive from Hillsboro. First time there today. Doesn't look like much on the outside, but it's very cozy/ 'welcome to our home' type of atmosphere. Couple of retro Arcade game in the back under a couple of TVs. The Lady (owner I guess) was super friendly. As was her help. We were the only ones there for the first 10 minutes or so. The pizza we got took 10-15 minutes, but well worth the wait. Hand made dough, herb dusted. Hand cooked sausage and chicken and hand cut mushrooms, thin cut. By far one of the best pizzas I've ever tasted. Across 5 or 6 states I've lived in. And cheap. Those whole bill, with desert (also hand made BTW) was only $25. Just awesome. Highly recommended. read more

They have the best pizza in all of the surrounding areas! I love their sauce and how the whole pizza looks and tastes. The taco pizza has tortilla chips on it and tastes way better than Godfathers.
