And the dessert.. oh Sweet Jesus I needed a wheelbarrow to get out tonight!! The crème brûlée, the bourbon bread pudding... I asked if the chef was married!! The original place we detoured for dinner had a 30 minute wait, so we opted to check out Galletti's on 6/17/25 instead. One can dine onsite, there's also covered outdoor seating, or menu items are also available for takeout. We lucked out that we were seated without much of a wait and there was live music provided by a talented trio. Efficient wait person covering all the tables in the dining room. We both started with the house salads and the chicken parmesan entrees with garlic bread. Talk about flying under the radar in Seaview. The salads were fresh, chicken cutlets were succulent, and pasta perfectly al dente. Props to the kitchen crew! The Homie was able to indulge in an icy Coke and a slice of Nutella Cheesecake garnished with hazelnuts. The refrigerated pastry case selections looked enticing, but I was pleasantly full. We came in on our vacation, and it was my wife's birthday. They served their food out of take out boxes, the food was all canned and little flavor. My son's spaghetti was like Chef Boyardee, and my Alfredo with clams had canned clams! The price was outrageous. For what we got, along with the hot restaurant, and the terrible service - it cost $60. I will not recommend this restaurant at all. Plus, when you are interacting with a customer when paying, it really is a good idea to TALK TO THEM. Oh boy! We were really excited to try this place but unfortunately it didn't meet our expectations. I'm hoping this was an off night. Our server was frazzled from the moment we walked in. We sat for 10 minutes with no menus, grabbed them from another table and 30 seconds later she asked if we were ready to order. Our entrée came with a salad, which we had to ask for because it never came out, when it did our meal came out just a couple of minutes later. The most disappointing part was the fettuccine lasagna came out luke warm, borderline cold to the point it had to be sent back. By the time it came back out I was done with my meal and my Fiancé was just starting his. They did take it off the bill which was nice. Then when we got our bill the meal was still on the check. We saw our waitress once during our entire meal, and watched another couple walk out before ever ordering. When you are in a populated tourist area you have to have a higher level of service. The service was great. Fast, and friendly. Old school crooner music really set the ambiance. My wife had the spaghetti and meat sauce and I had the seafood lasagna. Meat sauce was ok. Meaty and hot. Good portion and nice flavor. Meat was just ok... the lasagna was a bit disappointing..a piece of ok salmon and the rest an indistinguishable mash of seafoody pieces. Tiny shrimp, tiny chunk of lagostino and the rest too hard to find.. ‍ the lasagna was cheesy and hot so I should have stuck with conventional meats and it would have been good. My expectations for west coast seafood has been pretty high and most places I've been to have hit the mark but this just didn't bring it for me. We needed spaghetti in our lives and looked on yelp for one in Longview as we were here for the day. Galletti's did not disappoint! We were amazed they seated a group of 10 so quickly. The one server was overworked but she did an excellent job. We ordered 2 large cheese bread which we did not need a the entrees came with salad and bread. The marinara sauce was incredible. I ordered the lasagna which was good but could have used more cheese as it was mainly only cheese on top. The portions were generally sized and most of us brought food home. We finally visited this place and were so HAPPY we did. The lasagna was the best my husband has ever had! The spinach salad was PERFECT!! The food was very fresh and made to order. The desserts are made in house and SO SO GOOD. Although a smaller restaurant, it was cozy and comfortable. The service was wonderful, friendly and warm. The prices are very reasonable and affordable. The food was the real standout here. We ordered the spaghetti and meatballs and alfredo lasagna. Both were excellent. The problem with the overall experience is that we received our drinks, salads and main course all at the same time. The drinks were delayed, including water, due to not being able to find a wine bottle opener. Really, in an Italian restaurant? My grown daughter and I are staying at Sou'wester and drove the half mile to this quaint, family-owned restaurant right near Christmas. Bing Crosby White Christmas music was playing and the whole restaurant was decorated with lights and decor. We split the spaghetti with meatballs and Caesar salad. Our female server was so sweet and accommodating. The meal came so quickly, and the meatballs were great. The sauce and noodles tasted great. Nice garlic bread. Lots of refills of our soda. This was the highlight restaurant of our 4 day visit in Long Beach, WA. All the food is made inhouse by the chef, even the deserts. The portions were large, so you can easily split. The service was excellent. The co-owner of the restaurant, the chefs wife, came around to all the tables to visit with customers and bring out food. It is small inside and cozy which adds to the personalized service feeling. They don't require reservations but I would suggest you do make on. I always like to give a small ma & pa restaurant a try. This was not a great experience . We walked in with big hopes. We just happened to be on vacation. There were only two tables that had people when we were seated. The waitress took our order and then our little side salads came out. Hopes were still high. This is where it went awry. A few more tables started to fill. Then those people got their meals but not us. Then another couple came in, they got their salads and the last straw was they got their main courses and we still hadn't received ours. Of course the hubby was not happy. My Father-In-Law picked this place after his 1st choice was closed simply because it was Monday (Really?). The atmosphere and decor inside Galletti's is somehow quaint, intimate and disappointing all at the same time. The menu had a decent amount of options and the food came out relatively quick. Our party had mixed reviews of the food; one person said the lasagna was the best he'd had, while others felt like it was very average. My carbonara was decent and at least had fresh shrimp which were good. The best part about Galetti's was the service. The owner waited on us and was very friendly. He made us feel like family. The food was ultimately okay, but what really got me was the service. I realize many small businesses are struggling due to the pandemic, etc. I'm fine with longer waits, just being seen and seated is okay for a bit. However, I arrived around 7:30 after driving from Portland, and was very hungry & thirsty. It took a while to be acknowledged, and I was told I'd receive a water shortly, but 30 minutes went by. I ordered a diet soda. 10 minute later I was asked what drink I ordered, so I asked to forgo the soda and just stick with water. I was prepared to spend a decent amount on dinner and dessert-to-go, but decided to go simple due to the length of time it took for service. I knew it would take longer for anything other than spaghetti with marinara. Normally, you'd get a salad first, especially after the wait. My food came out at the same time. That's fine. My bill came, which was $15.11. Again, I knew not to try to pay with card due to how long it would take to get it processed, so I left a $20 bill and left - also thinking it was more respectful of the staff's time + card fees. The cherry on top was when I put my car in reverse and was approached by restaurant staff accusing me of not paying. We went to Galletti's on a quiet Sunday evening in Seaview (outside Long Beach), Washington. Initially, Rachel didn't want to go. The outside didn't look very appealing. I thought different. It had a sheet metal and wood look that I liked. Eventually, we did go in. As we walked up we saw a sign that stated it was All-You-Can-Eat Spaghetti night. Apparently every Sunday is. As a result they had a shortened menu. Good thing they had outside seating as well. While it was in the mid-70s outside, the inside dining area was VERY warm. Outside was nice and comfortable. Of the few apps on the menu we got the cheesy bread. It was pretty good. Very cheesy and the right kind of bread, as far as we're concerned. It was served with a generous helping of marinara sauce that was thick and tasty. The meals each came with a house salad. We got them with a house Italian dressing. The lettuce was crisp and there wasn't too much dressing. Not bad. Rachel has the eggplant parmesan. Her mom makes it more as a casserole with the eggplant in layers. This was essentially pasta with red sauce and breaded eggplant rounds on top. She liked the pasta but the eggplant was rubbery and underdone. Chris had the spaghetti with meatballs and, since he's a child, loved it! The meatballs had a great flavor, the spaghetti was cooked well, and the sauce was good. Both meals came with a nice and soft, but slightly crispy, piece of garlic bread. We hadn't decided to get desert. It was enough food. However, the waitress was giving tiramisu to the bachelorette table next to us and, when she was bringing it out, hit the back of my chair with the door. I joked that she owed us a piece of tiramisu now! Later on she brought us a big piece and didn't charge us for it! Overall, it was a decent Italian place in a small town. You don't always get that. I think Rachel would rate it a bit lower, but, she's Italian and pretty critical of these restaurants! read more
