Awesome place! Great folks, great drinks! Cody & Sarah were awesome. Sarah was attentive and answered all my stupid questions about the different spirits during the tasting. The decor was simple and very tasteful. We bought a few bottles. We highly recommend checking this place out!

Old timey corner shop with a full tasting of whiskey, unique moonshines and bourbon. Definitely try the agave spirit!

Happy Mother's Day to ME! I got to spend my afternoon at a tasting at Tennessee Legend Distillery!! Cody was our spirit guide and he was amazing! We all shared life stories, liquor stories and food stories! We received a wonderful friendly welcome and a delicious tour through the whiskey, bourbon and moonshine the distillery offers. Add to that the well priced merchandise and clean bathrooms and you get the perfect visit! Our favorites were the Kingsnake and the Agavesaurus Rex, both just as smooth as ever and so easy to drink! Hubby had a delicious old fashioned and I had a special request Mexican Martini, nicknamed Custody Battle, that was perfection in a glass! Loved the jalapeno garlic olives! I highly recommend a visit to Tennessee Legend Distillery and look forward to visiting again!

The drinks and whiskey are amazing. They definitely have some bourbons and ryes that exceed 100 proof. They do tastings but they have cocktails as well. I had the bramble and it was so good. One of my favorite cocktails since coming to Tennessee. The bartender is amazing too.

Cody is the man! The Dutch Bros and I came in on a Thursday afternoon, and we had he and the place to ourselves. I wasn't expecting too much from the whiskey because I don't do flavored drinks. Surprisingly, they made a believer out of me! All the flavored ones have actual flavors, which aren't weak or overpowering. Had to buy a bottle to take back to Texas. Great corner location, in the middle of town. Inside a great building. If I ever find myself in Cookeville again, I'll call to see if Cody is there.

Cody was awesome! I am flying out today and wanted to take a bottle home. I'm not able to take it with my carry on, but there's a store at the airport so before I go, I'm grabbing a bottle of Peanut Butter Cup!

Not what I was expecting no food but you can have food delivered. They have tasting which was fun with the server who had a lot of knowledge. Small lounge area lots of unique whiskey options to try and buy. Also a small store with souvenir, type items, candles, and such.

This was a nice recommendation from a friend as I partake in whiskey quite often. The distillery was small but comfy, very clean, and the sommelier was very nice and knowledgeable. I tried samples of the creams and whiskies and fell in love with the smoked apple whiskey and wedding bells cream liqueur. So smooth, I can drink both neat or on the rocks! The smoked apple is sweet but nothing like Jim Bean apple or Jack Daniels apple; just the right amount of twang and candied glacé. The finish was smokey, mellow, and smooth! No burn! The wedding bells cream liqueur was a french vanilla wedding cake cream based whiskey. So delectable, so magnificent, so delicate... I'd drink it straight on ice like a refined cake liquidfied. The French vanilla bean coats your tastebuds like a silk robe on warm Summer's night. It's so heavenly! The server gave me a discount because I was wearing a mask so kudos to this place for thinking about it's customers... If I ever visit Cookeville, TN again, I'll definitely stop by here again!

I've walked in and looked around Tennessee Legend Distillery quite a few times and really liked the atmosphere. I brought my friends in to do some tasting and we really enjoyed it! Patrick was our spirit guide and he showed us some amazing combinations and he is very knowledgeable about all of the products! My personal favorite was the coffee whiskey with salted caramel whiskey and crème brûlée liqueur. Aside from the amazing service and tasting, it's a nice little hangout spot with board games and lounging areas. There's cocktails and mock tails and various other options in the selection. The shop is full of awesome items, liquor, trinkets, and games! All around great experience and I will certainly be back!

Wonderful experience and education! I purchased several bottles of Bourbon as gifts. I have the feeling some of those bottles will not reach their intended destination and will end up in mu personal collection!

My family and I tried a large variety from the dill pickle to the cherry moonshine. They also have samples of the variety of jams they sell. We were interested in many moonshines and were able to purchase a couple jars, mini bottles, and mason jar lids that have a pouring spout. We also took home some of the delicious jams. This should be on your list of must stop places if you're in the area.

They are listed as a retailer on RRD's website. The did not have any RRD products. They told me the distillery was recently bought and had become too expensive get. They said although they were just down the street, he could only get it from a vendor. It was disappointing because we had drove an hour out of our way, looking forward to the tasting room. I at least would like to purchase the 110 and maybe apple pie online, but I cannot seem to find anywhere online to purchase as well. My review is based on not being open when the door states they will be, and inaccurate info on the website. I wish I'd been able to sample as I'm sure I would have enjoyed it.

OUTSTANDING!!!!!…read more Let's just start right there. We are visiting from Virginia, a friend who recently moved to the area. They had heard good things about SKD but hadn't visited or sampled their products. But today was the day. Let me touch on the tour - wow. The tour was expected to be about an hour but we stayed at least two, maybe a bit more. Our guide - Luther, is a hell of a nice fella. Taught us a lot. He told us how he's been friends with several of the other since school days and you can tell he really loves this place. This post would be too long to go over every great thing about the tour and sampling - so go and see for yourself. The products: Folks I'm not a big drinker. But I will say this. I came out buying, a bottle of their Vodka, two bottles of bourbon, and two bottles of flavored shine. I will also say I love each and every shine flavor and it was hard to choose just two. The location: new, very clean, and great looking. Inside and out. Lastly the staff: Again Luther was a great fella. The counter girls were crazy friendly and nice and then the owner Junior was just so nice and personable. Folks come here, bring your friends, and have a great time. We absolutely will be back when we return to the area. Hoping to catch a night when they have something going on like music outside.

The tour was very informative and entertaining. The taste testing was well worth it. We taste tested many different flavored Moonshines, (20 proof) but still very tasty. They tasted like liquid Jolly Ranchers. Then Vodka, Bourbon and last, but not least, a few Whiskeys. One was 111 proof. They have a very nice looking gift shop. All of their Whiskeys, Bourbon's, Moonshine's and Vodka are available for purchase plus everything else you can Imagine. Clothing, hats, flights, etc. you can buy some cool looking stuff. Quick summery?!? It was well worth the money. 90 minutes drinking and a tour combined? Time well spent in my book. I'd go back again in a heartbeat.

Even without the tour, we had a fantastic experience. One of the unexpected highlights was the free shuttle that takes you from the parking area through historic Lynchburg to the Welcome Center. Along the way, the driver shares interesting history about the town and the distillery, which was a nice touch. The Welcome Center also offers a Whiskey Trail passport where you can collect stamps and free poker chips from participating Tennessee distilleries. We only had time to visit Jack Daniel's, but it was a really fun keepsake and definitely made us want to come back and explore more. Instead of the tour tasting, we opted for one of the paid tastings. I'm so glad we did because we were able to choose the whiskeys we actually wanted to try instead of a preset tasting lineup. The gentleman leading our tasting was knowledgeable, friendly, and shared plenty of history about both the distillery and each whiskey we sampled. The gift shops are adorable, and the pedestrian bridge makes it easy to walk into downtown Lynchburg, where there are plenty of locally owned shops and Jack Daniel's merchandise to browse. It's a charming little town that's perfect for strolling. I left with a small bottle of Single Barrel that became my evening sip for the rest of our road trip, and it was the perfect souvenir. Even without taking the full tour, this was a wonderful experience. If we find ourselves back in the area, we'd absolutely visit again--and next time we may finally take that tour. 10/10 would recommend.

The slushy was absolutely better in the hot summer day as we walked the property to learn about the history of the origination and the master distillers story. Years of history and purity are what make the whiskey what it is. Enjoyed world wide, and for a good reason. I would have just wished the tour was more centralized around the water tunnel where they show you the demineralization process of the water they use. Probably the coolest spot in Tennessee. Simply a MUST stop and worth the price of the tour. Absolutely loved every bit of it his tour. Worth every ounce of sweat to experience one of my favorite whiskeys!
