They installed the cabinets that I sourced from another company (although they also manufacture their own cabinets in-house), and everything was installed to spec with the trim pieces cut perfectly to match. For the countertops, I sourced my own quartzite slabs, and F&L handled the rest. They picked up the slabs, created the templates based on my cabinets, fabricated everything, and completed the installation. The templating team also went above and beyond to make sure my expensive slabs were used as efficiently as possible with virtually nothing wasted. They took the time to help me plan the layout so the veining flowed naturally across the countertops and backsplash, which made a huge difference in the final result. As someone who had never gone through this process before, I really appreciated their patience and attention to detail. A special shout-out to Fernando, who was my representative throughout the project. He was professional, knowledgeable, responsive, and incredibly patient with all of my questions and design changes. The company motto is: Integrity, Honesty & Quality and that is certainly true, and then some. If you are looking for someone who can provide quality work on time and within your budget, and is an excellent communicator, Steve Nam at CSCI is the person. We bought a fixer upper in Old Mountain View in 2013 and it needed several phases of work. We used Steve and his team for the first phase (roof, plumbing, electrical, new furnace) before occupying the house. We were very pleased with the work and so decided to work with him on a project that required a little more finish work (a cottage remodel - complete gutting and build to new design). We considered this his 'audition' for our major house remodel, phase 3. We worked with an independent designer (also excellent) for the main house design and we introduced her (and our structural engineer) to Steve. We put the major main house remodel out to bid to Steve and another GC.
