I enjoyed my time here but two things that stuck out that I wasn't too happy with. The service was very slow. We weren't even given water for quiete a while. Sarah B ended up being our server and was incredibly nice and attentive afterwards so that definitely helped. Also - no vegan options?! The avocado tacos had cheese so I ended up getting a bunch of sides and making my own tacos which turned out delicious! The drinks were very yummy and the patio was funky and comfortable. Well we love the food here however the service is way to slow. On Friday night party of 4 with a reservation they told us it wAs a 50 minute wait. No disrespect to the teenagers running the host station but they were very overwhelmed. I ferl more experienced staff would be better. There were multiple vacant ya abLes that were not seated in our 30 minute wait. We ended up leaving because we were noteven recognized. We have ate lunch multiple times and staff can handle it. The food here is good. Service we had was good. The prices on the tacos are not to bad but the plates to me are very high. I brought my daughter and had her order the kids meal which was $7.00 I would have been fine with that it it came with anything making it $7.00. She had a little taco with shredded meat in it and a little thing of rice and beans with no drink included. In reality she should have just ordered two tacos from the adult menu and she would have had a much bigger and better meal for about the same price. I have been finding this to be common with other restaurants around which I find annoying. It feels like your being penalized for bringing a kid. Sometimes I think "why has the business owner left this page UNCLAIMED"... and when I went yesterday I found out. Kinda a sloppy mess in execution of a restaurant. If they can't fully execute well in their venue, why are they going to bother hearing what people think via claiming their yelp page. It was hard to get silverware and napkins. The food did come out fast, but that means to me that they are just compiling pre-made items. Bartender was not measuring drinks properly. Good salsas. Tacos are so so, lack taste and are expensive for the size. We were very happy to see everything on the menu was gluten free - that brought smiles. Plenty of open tables, several came after us and we're seated before us, guess you need to know someone that works there to get a table. Bar was brutal trying to get a drink. This is a great restaurant in our local area. The waitress could not have been more friendly. Great cocktail suggestions for brunch. We just had the queso fundido because we had already eaten. Dessert was huge disappointment, because they are trying so hard to be gluten-free, they serve churros made with this weird potato flour. We love this new place! Totally gluten free kitchen is a bonus. The chips are always warm and the matcha salsa is unique with just the right kick. Happy hour guac and house margaritas are a great deal. Wait staff is friendly and service is quick. The tacos a la carte are fresh and delicious. I spent a lovely afternoon sitting outside alone while snacking on tacos, margs, chips and salsa and it was wonderful. I've been back multiple times since. The macha salsa is addicting. The margaritas are amazing. I loved all the tacos i tried and even the pescado plate. We love everything about this place in our first visit. We gave them a couple months to get in their groove and they found it! We were seated outdoors and were immediately greeted by our server who was very helpful with our questions. All of our food came out very quickly. We LOVED the shrimp and carnitas tacos. Wow! Instant favorite. Beautiful place and I was instantly drawn to the indoor/outdoor bar (as always). Hostesses were friendly as they showed us a couple stools at the bar. The cocktails were amazing - I mean seriously amazing! Food was delicious. My Carna Asada was fantastic. Wife's chicken enchiladas were great. Fast and friendly service. I know they're new so I try to be understanding, but it takes a long time to get in and out. The food is phenomenal but a little overpriced. $7 is a bit much for a ramekin of corn. I've had a hard time getting very basic things here, which sucks because it's close to work and my boyfriend and I love to meet here on our lunch breaks. I hope the service gets more attentive and quicker. I hope the prices adjust a little bit, or maybe they start offering lunch specials. We spent over $70 on lunch on a few tacos each, the aforementioned corn, and a cocktail each. Can't do that regularly. El minero cocktail is amazing. Veggie tacos are amazing. I won't abandon yet! This place is fantastic! The decor is beautiful. It feels like it was taken straight off of Pearl Street in Boulder. It is nice to see restaurants of this caliber coming to Lafayette. The guacamole is amazing! The chips are warm and crispy. The cocktails are fantastic. The tacos are great too. The staff is friendly and efficient. I have been here four times since it open this summer and I have never been disappointed. On a hot summer evening, the patio feels like you are a town in Mexico. Amazing!!! Met some friends here for lunch and it was sooooo yummy! Had the 3 salsas and guacamole for appetizers. The chips came out warm...mmmmm. 3 of us had assorted (fish, carne asada and carnitas) tacos- ALL were delicious. My friend had the chicken plate and it was absolutely delicious. A friend & I went there for HH. The waitress asked us if we wanted to use the QR code or have a real menu. We chose a real menu as it's easier to read than the tiny print on a phone. Not all of the HH food choices were on the menu so we wasted a lot of time on questions. It would be nice if they had a real HH menu card to avoid wasting time. The food.....the guacamole was a bit bland. Could've used salt & definitely more lime. The chips were bland & a lot of small broken pieces that were hard to dip. I ordered 3 different tacos & the pork belly was most definitely under cooked. I really should've sent it back. Everything was cold & the tortillas were smaller than other places I've eaten. My friend ordered steak instead of chicken in her quesadilla & still received chicken. The waitress seemed of course to rush us during our appetizer to order the main entree. As usual it's all about turning tables. Ok we get that. But she must've approached us at least 3 times to order our entrees. We had asked for separate checks & she appeared with one & realized she forgot. No biggie. Personally if the food is great I don't really care about the attitude or service of the staff. Worst case scenario I'll order take out & eat it at home. However the food just wasn't that great. Do u really want a phenomenal taco menu & great drinks? Then let me make a suggestion. Bartaco on Pearl St. in Boulder. The tortillas r a little larger, great choices & great sauces in each one. Try the their pork belly & ribeye taco. They also bring complimentary chips & salsa. Lighting & ambiance is great, not too bright & not too dark. What I really love is fresh squeezed juice in their cocktails. No boxed juice. So screwdrivers & seabreezes r fantastic. If ur not in this area, it's worthy the little 10 min. drive. read more

My husband and I ate here last night and we loved everything about this place! We made a reservation and were seated on the patio as requested. It was packed, even when we left around 9. The patio is so festive with bright blue accents and fun lanterns + string lights! My husband loved his house marg and we demolished the chips + 3 salsa/guacamole combo (we couldn't pick a favorite salsa, all were amazing and ranged from a creamy mild to spicy and smoky). The menu has a wide range of large dishes and several unique a la carte tacos. I recommend the Tijuana shrimp and carne asada tacos- both were flavorful and the taco shells had the perfect amount of crisp. Anytime we want a "nicer" Mexican meal for date night, this will be our spot! read more
