For this type of buffet it is by far the best one around. The place is clean and they rotate the food often. This is a big selection and there is something for everyone. Have you decided it's a fatty day. This may be the place for you. There are many food options. They have all the common Chinese buffet options, shrimp, clams, oysters, clams, even frog legs. But not many of those wow'ed me. They frog legs were chewy and bland. The fried crab was rolled in salt. The oysters smelled and tasted fresh, but were grey and low on taste. The sushi was decent, the Chinese chicken dishes were decent. But many dishes failed to hit their mark. The spring rolls were dry and like many dishes, had no flavor. Then need to use more peanut and sesame oil, they might be trying to use less expensive vegetable oil to reduce costs. The ice cream was near the bottom of all the tubs, old, etc. The baked desserts were all standard Chinese buffet style. Stick with the jello and the hot apple pie. Sadly the apple pie didn't have much apple. Service was good, things were done promptly. The booth seats were heavily worn. They did have a chocolate fountain, but there were no berries to dip. The only banana to dip was the ones covered in the standard red goo. There were a few marshmallows, unripe pineapple and cookies to dip. The soft ice cream was meh, the chocolate was better than vanilla. Now this food had some weird way of not making you feel full. Then 30 minutes after we left, we went from hungry to bloated and feeling fat. We didn't eat fast, we too our time. Very odd experience. So onto the coupon. This place often mails coupons. Which is why we went. The purpose of a coupon is to draw in a new customer, and show him you have a place he would want to visit often. Each of their coupons here have tons of fine print. Some are Monday - Thursday. The 10% off, requires a soda purchase. We had hot tea, not wanting corn syrup calories. The hot tea beverage purchase did not satisfy this in the eyes of the manager. So we were talking a $23 bill for two people, and got handed a $2.30 sour feeling as we left. In my mind that is opposite the intent of a coupon. Even still, I left a 20% tip. To bring it all together, if you like seafood this might be a 3 star, if you don't it will likely be a 2 star. To me, not worth the 20 min drive we did to get there. I like the fact that they offer Hibachi, but even with that, I can't give better than 2 stars. I opted for a steak and shrimp hibachi with garlic. Most of the steak couldn't even be chewed. For the rest of the buffet, it's okay if you know what to avoid. I had picked up some steamed or boiled shrimp, and they all had that green stuff inside. Um, yeah...don't eat that. That comes from farming seafood in water that isn't kept clean. But the rest of the buffet items were okay, not anything better than I've had elsewhere. The only plus was the sheer size of this place, which means more variety. Service is pretty bad. it's like the employees aren't happy about working there. No smiles, nothing. Just point at your table and kinda grunt at you. There are so many Asian buffets around, I don't see any reason to visit this one unless I'm shopping right in that mall, and I'm starving, and I really want Asian food. read more

This place is really good, in regards to a Chinese food buffet. It has all the traditional foods, plus they have Mongolian grill and sushi. The old location was a dump inside. The new location is just two does down in the same shopping center, but what a difference a cost of paint makes! Another two items to note: you can order take out from here, which is what I frequently do; or, you can pick up a container and just walk around the buffet and fill up with those items you want, then they will weigh your container and you are ready to go. The food is really great here, they have a wide variety to choose from. But the ladies that work here are very snooty. I went in with my boyfriend and we're a young couple. They kept looking over at us, most likely assuming that we were going to just walk out once we finished eating without paying. After we put the money on the little tray, a lady immediately walked over asking if she can take it. We asked if we could get change and she looked so annoyed but still came back with our money. As my boyfriend was taking it, she had a nasty look on her face and looked over at a co-worker giving her "the look". He thanked her and she said nothing and walked away. If I could give negative reviews, I would. Stay away from this place! First time I went there, I found a coupon on a website for it. Pulled it up on my phone to show to the waiter, he said no then left to speak to someone about it. When he came back, he failed to say anything about the coupon. Later we asked someone else( the owner), she said it was fine this time but next time print it. I find it ironic how you want me to waste paper, but you have signs all around saying Don't waste food, take what you can eat. If you run a buffet be prepared for people to try different things and eat up. Second visit: As I walk in and wait to be seated, I am ignored. A couple comes after me and gets seated right away. I ignore it. After getting seated I walk to the bathroom to wash my hands before eating. As I am washing my hands, the older woman who puts the food out walks out of the stall and walks out of the bathroom(without washing her hands!). Though disgusted, I decide to stay. My husband ordered a soda and I order a water. As i take a sip of my husband's soda, I get this hawk looking over me. She walks away and speaks in her native language( as she is staring at me). The two continue to stare at me and talk. Moments later she comes up to me and tells me that the soda is only for one person( this is not posted anywhere). I tell her that I was never told this last time. She just walks away. Long story short: Stay away!!!! If you are too cheap do not open a buffet. I should be able to take a sip of my husbands drink without any problem, and people working in a restaurant need to wash their hands after using the restroom. We have eaten here several times and it is the best of this genre that I know of. A great variety and everything I've had has been very tasty. The sushi is also very good for a buffet type of restaurant. My advice is to get there early (either for lunch or dinner) before the food has been picked over, although they seem to be paying attention to the condition of the buffet stations. Because they have some American buffet selections, you can go with people who are not keen on Chinese or Japanese food and everyone can be happy. Save room for dessert, too!! This place used to be a great place to eat. But our last trip there last night was a DISASTER! We were excited about driving the 45 mins to get to one of our favorite places to eat. We arrived around 6pm on a Fri night. The place was nearly deserted and the floors seemed sticky. Quite slippery, actually. I went to get my steamed clams that I always get. They were tough to chew and dried out. I ended up feeling ill after eating them. My husband stated that his clams on the half shell tasted sour and would not eat them. My son mentioned the mac and cheese had been changed, As was the white fish that USED TO BE served broiled in butter. Now it is soaked in lemon and has a very distinct tart lemon taste. I mentioned all of this to the "manager" and she was anything but compassionate. Not even a discount on our check was mentioned. She just kept saying the seafood was fresh daily. I have eaten here before, and the service and food was ok...today i walk in with my family we were seated and the waitress ask what we wanted to drink, about a minute goes by a couple walks in gets seated by the same lady that is supposed to be getting our drinks, she takes their drink order, and guess who got their drinks first?? Yep the couple got theirs first. Today at least 95% of the HOT food was COLD, and looks like it has been sitting out for a good while, told our waitress who seem to have told the manager, it seemed like they took their time to attempt to fix the cold food situation (as we were leaving), so I went for what was suppose to be cold food, and the plates in this area still has food particles dried on them, well we finished up went to the counter to speak to the manager (owner) who seem not to care that my family had a bad experience there and just made excuses that they were slow just before we got there, not once did we get a apology for this BAD experience,... we will find another spot (never will we return),,,,.....spent $56.84. 2/24/16 read more
