Came here with a large group after enjoying a beautiful day. Was cool to see their chip basket have a mixture of red, green, and white tortilla. Wasn't a fan of their white sauce; definitely wasn't ranch, but a tangy, sour cream based dipping sauce that came with the salsa. Some others like the two sauces mixed, but salsa was fine for me. I love a simple straightforward taco, but these were a misery. The rice (as part of the accompanying rice and beans) was hard and crunchy. The quesadilla pizza was burnt on the bottom and really greasy. I have to say that my sister enjoyed her chori pollo, but the rest was a disaster. I won't go back. We've usually had pretty good service & great food. NOT TONIGHT. we waited 10mins to even be said hello to or what can I get you to drink. Another 10mins he then brought the sprites & chips. We ask for a SM cheese dip & the ex hot salsa. 10 mins. Received. Now we really waited. A whole hour. He says oh guess I'll check. We only ordered one enchilada , 2 side rice & a half quesadilla w/ shredded chk. 25 mins after he said he'd check a woman put one enchilada & one rice down. My bff did get her food. So I waited to not be rude even though tables that were seated after us that ordered way more food were receiving theirs left & right. So the 15 mins go past, a woman puts a quesadilla down & it's not even the right meat. At this point we cannot just keep waiting & not receiving even the right items. No apology. didn't seem to care one bit when I said just please take it back & can we get the bill for the sodas & sm cheese. He got an attitude along w/ the woman who dropped the food off. It was not our fault & we were still not rude. He slaps the check down & it reads 2 sodas 1 large cheese. Again we ordered a small. Not the 10$ large. He' takes the check back to change it correctly. Brings it back now reading 2 sodas & 1 reg crab dip ?!?!? We never even ordered that. It's now 24$ check not the 18$ it started wrong at. He got a major attitude at that point & again this was NOT OUR MESS UP. There is no reason to be so damn rude especially when the business is the one at fault. We were trying to have a nice dinner & had never ran into problem after problem with tequila grill or dealt w/ such rude & inconsiderate people working. The crap dip is great, the chorizo cheese dip is good, scallop wrapped bacon was dry and dipping sauce was not good and the fajita Macarena for two was plentiful and enough to feed four! We enjoyed everything. We didn't get any drinks but water so I can't say how those are but if I get Mexican again in Southern Maryland, it's the best I've had. Stopped in for dinner with my husband. Walking in there is a slight odor of cleaning products. Glad they have cleaned, but that scent along with food not so much. We went to the bar area and the scent was not there so we stayed. We both enjoyed the Margarona (Margarita w/a Corona). My husband had the steak & chorizo platter and I had the chimichanga platter. The interior is pretty decent with Mexican decor. It's clean and comfortable. The service is nice and the staff are accommodating. They are punctual with drink refills and requests. The food is good. The portions are filling with some to bring home. Veggie dishes have fresh vegetables. The meats, including seafood, are appropriately cooked and seasoned. I was craving some real carne asada tacos, and I'm tired of going to the "Mexican" restaurants in Waldorf and getting a hard shell taco or a flour tortilla with lettuce and tomato and a strange sauce. This is an unfortunate review for me because I like the food here and I LOVE the white sauce. My husband, daughter and I were there for dinner Friday and forgot our cell phone at the table. We went right back in for it once we got to the car and realized and someone had already pocketed it. My husband pinged it from his watch and could hear it within the restaurant pinging, until a staff member turned it off which he could tell from his watch. He searched the booth, the manager searched it and then the waiter searched and nothing. All of a sudden a "random" employee we hadn't seen walked by and claims he saw it right in the place all three had looked. To make matters worse the manager wouldn't allow my husband in to review the footage until he reviewed it alone, which seemed shady. It's safe to say that I will never eat here again. The staff were pleasant, there was no wait, the food came out in a timely manner, but it tasted awful. And I really hate to say this, but can't think of any other adjectives. I ordered the Fiesta Texacano. I tried salt, pepper, sour cream, gaucomole (which was very good), salsa and hot sauce to try and get some flavor in it and nothing really worked.
