Ww just placed an order to go for three of their Arroz Texano. Steak, chicken and shrimp with rice and covered in cheese dip. Its really good! However, when we got home to eat, and opened the containers the carryout containers are not even half full! We just spent $65 and we're still hungry! The attached pic is of the container with the most food! I called and spoke to the manager and they are going to give us a small credit the next time we order. Next time??? We have given multiple chances to thus restaurant over the last few years, and they continue to disappoint. Solid showing. Large party friendly. All of our food was widely enjoyed. Had the combination fajitas, sans churizo. Did I mention it was my birthday. They must have not picked up on that. OOOHHHHH my gosh both of their salsas are super fresh and tasty. My favorite would have to be the grilled salsa. It's not too spicy and it just tastes super fresh! I had the carne asada and it was perfect. Everything was a 10/10. I willlll be back soon :) read more

We ended up here by default. The popular places in town were mobbed on a Saturday night, and we were in a hurry. "This won't be any good," I muttered, (The restaurant is in a depressed strip mall flanked by sad looking thrift stores and storefront churches.) To my surprise, I was wrong. Tequilla Restaurant is better than the other Mexican restaurants I've been to in Paulding. The food is fresh and well prepared, the portions plentiful, and Anna, our server, was delightful! Prices are also better than the competition. As another yelper said, 'don't judge a book by its cover.' I just had to leave a review because we decided to come here literally 45 minutes after the last bad review was left. It was our first time, the staff, all of them were SUPER nice.. the place was big. My daughter loved our booth because it curved on one side which was kinda cool :) the food was awesome! I got fajitas for 1, and there was so much food! The sweet tea was great and my husband ordered a draft beer... the mug was so cold you could make snowballs on it :) We loved it and will def come back! read more

Tequila Mexican in Dallas is located in a run down shopping center and features a run down restaurant atmosphere. But don't be too quick to judge a book by it's cover. The food is always hot, the prices are low and the service is pretty good most of the time. Even better, their lunch menu is so inexpensive that I often times end up eating there because even with tip, I'd have spent more anywhere else less just eating the dollar menu at McDonalds. read more

My past experience with this restaurant has been moderately satisfying. It has always had a strange smell about it that I can't quite put my finger on, but the food has been great. We switched to a place for the diablo ceviche but when we are in Dallas and want food, outside of fast food, this is it. A few weeks ago, we went to Tequila. The service was terrible. The salsa used to be good but that time it was sort of brown in color. It was awful. The cheese dip was watery; even when it was cold. We got what we ordered but there was something off about it. We didn't eat more than half of our food. A few days ago we went to Dallas to do a few things and it was close enough to dinner time to eat, so we stopped in. We were seated promptly with menus and greeted by the chips and salsa guy. Ordering was a breeze and our food was out pretty quick but one of us didn't get what we ordered. It was close but not worth complaining about so we ate. One bite. Something was definitely not right with the meat. The second bite wasn't an improvement so that was the end of that. The other two of us ate for about 3 minutes before we both decided to quit because ours was off too. All of us got sick to our stomachs. We all had completely different dishes and didn't finish any of them. When we got our bill and went to check out, a lady asked me how everything was. I was honest with her and told her that it wasn't good and she just kind of glared at me and rang me up. I wrote on the receipt and on my copy too. Exactly the same. I remember thinking it was awful paying for food we didn't eat. I checked my account today and the total didn't match. They upped the tip by $6. I'm not sure how that happens but it did. I left a cash tip and marked through the tip line on both copies and totaled it. I won't be going back. I called and complained and was told to come back and they would give me the difference back but the fact of the matter is that had I not checked they would have just taken whatever they wanted and I wouldn't have known about it. read more

The food used to be great and the service "first class" but those days are gone. Everything has gone down hill will never patronize this restaurant again. The loco chicken was extremely salty and the server told us no one else was complaining but us, like everyone has the same papilla. I have advised my friends and family to stay clear from this place. This Mexican Restaurant is in an old distressed Dallas shopping center but the food is pretty good with cheap prices. Their Mexican Combo Dinners are like most all the others. When I want a big bowl of Chicken Taco Soup this is where I go. It is stocked with big pieces of chicken breast, rice, onions, jalapeno peppers, tomatoes, & big chuncks of fresh cut alvacados. Located in a strip mall that had its hay day in the 80's Tequila is a little known gem. I have eaten here for years and have never had a bad drink or meal. I frequent here at least once a month. I am a stickler for health scores and they always get great ones. The wait staff is friendly and Latino but well spoken and helpful with menu suggestions. Their veggie fajitas are delicious and they have a great vegetarian menu. If you don't see something that you like they will always do a special order for you also. My family and I love Tequila Mexican Restaurant. We try to go one evening per week. The Staff is so friendly. The food is ALWAYS prepared fresh and taste wonderful. While visiting the Dallas area from Cali, my aunt recommended this place. Yes, it was packed. We waited over an hour for water. We waited over an hour for the server to take our order. I ordered the enchiladas and guacamole. Both were exceptionally bad. The red sauce was a pale "straight out the can" color. The guac was bright green and somewhat runny. I will never understand how any of this can pass for Mex food. My aunt ordered a burrito that was just not appealing - it had a doughy tortilla covered in lettuce and more weird looking guac. I am thinking that Mex food must vary by region because I have been to hundreds of Mex restaurants in the Bay Area and I have only experienced bad Mex food twice. We have the best cuisine in the nation and there is no comparison at this place. I would not be inclined to eat here again - even if I were hungry. Also, the wait time made me lose my appetite. Visited this location for lunch and the food was horrible. My daughter's food was not good and to make things worse we never received a ticket and at checkout they way overcharged my daughter and they wouldn't do anything about it. Bad food, bad atmosphere and even worse service. Beware of them overcharging your bill and refusing to give you a bill so you can see the charges. read more

I am distressed to see some of these bad reviews! I have not experienced any of this negative stuff. Wonderful service! JAIRO and ANNA are wonderful to us. The food has always been good and they go out of their way to make sure you are happy. There is some white girl there that could use some training for she "broadcasts" that she is only there for a paycheck...she needs to put more heart into her service. Managers and owner(s)! We visited the Hiram, GA location Friday, December 23, 2016, for dinner. We haven't been there for quite a while and this is definitely our last time. The food was absolutely horrible. Chips and corn tortillas were stale. The service was ok and waitress was pleasant, which is the only reason I rated it with one star. We were a party of six and we all agreed it's not worth going back to this location ever. Spend a little more money and go to Huey Luey's just up the road, it's worth it! read more
