I went to this restaurant after work with some coworkers. It's pretty close to where I work. And all my coworkers talk about how good it is. So I had a raspberry margarita. The regular size. Couldn't really taste of tequila so it was just OK. I got the number 20 combo that comes with a burrito, a taco, and a Chile Relleno. This combo cost $9.25. It was just OK. Nothing special. Basic Mexican food. My Chile relleno actually had no Chile in it. Just meat and cheese. Just ok food. read more

This spot had an outside area which grabbed our attention as we drove by and decided to stop for a bite to eat. It was very dirty outside which kind of turned me off but we were there already, so be it. Our waitress came immediately to take our drink orders and gave us some time to view the menu. Once ordered food came our fairly quickly. I had nachos, nothing fancy, meat and cheese. It was okay. My husband had fajitas and they looked great. I did taste them and they were good. We did not see the waitress anymore after dropping the food off and had to go in to find her to say we needed our ticket so that we could leave. Luckily we didn't need any refills, napkins, etc. because she never came back. Not sure when or if we will be back. read more

This is the best Mexican food in Hiram, by far ! I am from Texas, where there are tons of " authentic " Mexican restaurants. This place rates "up there" with some of those places. The service is great! All of the staff acts like they actually enjoy serving you. The chips and salsa alone is great. If you drink I recommend the Texas margarita. If you like spicy get the Bistec Al la Mexicans, also a gem is the chorizo Torta, crazy good. I visit here at least once a month. read more

Will never be back here. First of all refills cost $1. That crazy. Who doesnt offer free refills? I begin to order and want the combo where you can choose from a burrito or other items and beans and rice. Now clearly on the menu it says you can create your own combi list with the items that they offer on the combo list. I wanted 2 chille rellenos, the waiter say you cant order 2 of the same thing. Serious?!!!! So he says u can order a la carte which would cost more. Smh anything to get a few coins. That's sad that a restaurant is doing this. Would not recommend. We were shown to our table in the "bar" area where our menus were just thrown on the table as the waiter continued to walk on ahead to socialize with others at the bar. We ordered cheese dip and while waiting an extended time for our waiter to return, a family with a young child had to ask to be moved to another area due to the very, very inappropriate music playing. When our waiter returned to take our order after about 10 mins he still did not have the cheese dip. When it finally came it was just basically melted cheese with milk as it was runny with no flavor. The main dishes also lacked flavor and seasoning. My husband ordered a shredded beef burrito and it was just ground beef. Our waiter checked on us one time during our time eating and it took quite a while for us to get our check to leave. All around a bad experience. read more

I went to this restaurant the first time and was treated with total disrespect because the waiter became upset because I did not leave a tip so he said all black people don't leave a tip and my response was I leave tips but I will not leave a tip if you haven't taken care of me. He placed my drink on the table and simply never returned. I thought that was a bit rude... After that I had been going to the bar and ordering a single drink before for the last two weeks. Not one of the employees ever asked for my identification and I am guessing because when I went I was with a white friend of mine that often met me at this restaurant but today I decided to go with a person of color and as I set down and asked for a drink the same waiter asked for my identification that had served me over and over without asking ever for my identification on this particular day refused to serve me because I did not have my ID. So I said to the waiter, I have been in here for the last two weeks many times and have been served multiple times and not one single employee asked for my ID and now you are refusing to serve me because I do not have it and that was not a problem. I went to get the Identification and presented the employee with my ID and he refused to serve me. He stated by law he gets to decided rather or not he wanted to serve me and he gets to decided rather or not to ask for someone's ID. My response was he was that is simply not how the law works. If he is going to card someone and follow the law regardless of who they are he should card them and not decided on which day he would card anyone. The manager was extremely rude when speaking with him after I told the manager I had been there multiple times and he could pull the cameras since he called me a liar and making statements that all customers are identification cards are checked prior to being served drinks and addition, the waiter gets to decided rather or not to card anyone or not because he has that right. I do not recommend any person of color to eat at this restaurant because they since day one have treated blacks as if they do not matter and they are less valued customers that eat there. read more

Ha where to even start..... I'm Latino so maybe my review is biased but I went to this restaurant with my grandma since we didn't want to cook and we wanted Mexican. We sit down place our order and all that good stuff. Chips and salsa were probably the best part. We get our meals and of course they mess both meals up so we have to wait 10 minutes just to find anyone that works there just to have our food sent back. It's a slow day ok fine, but I mean really who just vanishes like that?! So we finally get the meals back and you can tell the waiter thinks we are dumb because of how we sent back the food. We start to eat and wow the food was just horrible it tasted old and it was cold and just disgusting. The chicken tacos were as if the chicken was just thrown into it with a ladle full of water. And everything else just tasted old. At this point I couldn't even eat my food I was disgusted at how the food even looked let alone tasted. We asked the waiter for the check and told him that we didn't want the food we were leaving so he gets mad and says something in Spanish to one of the other guys and walks off. So i walk to the front counter and start paying the guy asks how things went with a smartass attitude; at this point I could help it but I responded back to him in Spanish and carried on a full conversation with him as my grandmother did also. This kind of made him back up and realize how much of an idiot he was really looking like. Oh as we were paying one of the tables left and there was some salsa left on the table the guy grabbed it and pored it back into the container and stuck it back into the fridge so that they could serve it to someone else. Nastiest thing I have ever seen! I'd never go back. Like I said I'm Latino so maybe my standards for the food is higher then most but even normal would see how nasty that is. read more

My husband and I came in for a lunch date and were served the complimentary salsa. We had been to this location previously and were able to request mild salsa as the complimentary one is extremely hot. The server then brought out "enchilada sauce" assuming that we would be unaware. When asked about the milder option he then lied and stated it would take hours to make. I'd rather be told no than be blatantly lied to. What can I say if a Mexican restaurant can't get margaritas and guacamole right I question everything else. I never ordered an entree because after having the watered down margarita and the brown tasteless avocado mix (because that's all it was), I was completely turned off. Their guac had nothing but avocado in it. When I asked for my items to be taken back the server had THE WORST attitude. At this point I don't know how they even stay in business not one aspect of my dining experience was remarkably close to the mediocre. They do have an underwhelming outdoor patio but it's certainly nothing to shout for the roof tops. Honestly the inside of that place is dark and creeps me out a bit so if they didn't have the patio I doubt I would have ever even opted to try them out. Oh well I won't be returning! read more

Two stars for good, friendly service. Other than that, almost nothing redeeming regarding the food. It's your typical Americanized Mexican food despite the name. We had the guacamole dip which was decent. Salsa could be better as it had no kick whatsoever. I personally had the combo veggie bean burrito, cheese enchilada and cheese quesadilla. After living here for over ten years, I finally decided to give this restaurant a try. I have passed this restaurant various times and it appeared to always be busy. So I anticipated a great meal and dining service. However, my expectations were set too high. For starters, after we had been seated, we decided on a seemingly delicious appetizer; cheese spinach dip. As soon as the dip arrived at my table, I knew something wasn't right. The spinach was visibly not chopped, the cheese dip was very watery and seemed to have no texture what so ever, and it tasted like it had been seasoned with just salt. I was very disappointed. Soon after, our meals arrived. Right off the bat, I noticed that the waiter was moving quickly.... too quickly if you ask me. He literally threw the STEAMING HOT FOOD onto my table. I kindly asked him to slow down. To add to that, my daughters chicken wings didn't arrive until six minutes after everybody's food had arrived. To sum it up, the food wasn't pleasant or tasty, and I could've EAISLY made better food at home, and have saved my money. Overall, I will NOT be returning. read more

We enjoyed a fresh and very well cooked meal for Cinco de Mayo. We had moist, tender steak and pork. The drink menu was nice and large, although the margiritas were not strong. The food did not have enough kick and I want that after living in New Mexico for years. Next time I will get the fresh made guacamole and the shrimp fajitas. The roomy atmosphere was really festive with out being over done. The patio would be a great option when it is not raining. read more

OWNERS WAKE UP!!! From reading all of these negative reviews, it sounds like your wait-staff is PROFILING your customers. Can you only imagine how much business is being run off from you establishment?? and these customer's experiences get recorded on yelp. I'm from South Texas, and this varied menu is close to what I'm used to being served back home.
