My husband and I came in to dine on June 22, 2025 at 2:41 p.m. We sat down, ordered our drinks and meal, we wanted some cheese dip. The following happened... The cheese dip was lukewarm, closer to being cold. When our food came out, the ONLY thing hot was the plate!! We proceeded to eat, and my eyes were drawn to the television on the wall. They were showing "music" videos on the Xite channel. When I tell you what I saw, I was so embarrassed I was nearly in tears!!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]On the TV was a music video that should have been on a porn channel!!!! It was filmed in black & white and showed at least 30 people GRAPHICALLY having group sex!!!!!![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I was embarrassed to bring it to my husbands attention. He turned around and saw partially what I saw, and immediately was angered that I had to see that, let alone any children close by!!!!! We got the manager, told her, she was apologetic, came back out to change the channel and had to get help to change the channel. Her and 2 waitresses preceeded to laugh and joke about me not liking the video, and talked about it to other customers, who then began to watch my husband and I and make cruel jokes about us not liking the video and saying they hated that they missed it! I was mortified, my husband was furious!!! Your employees and their lack of respect has cost you a long time regular customer. For what we paid for our meal, it was not worth it!!!! So I was willing to look past them not knowing how to make decent salsa, I mean it is Dallas Ga. Now the main courses. I order the chicken fajitas, wife ordered three cheese enchiladas WITH rice and beans. Food came out fairly quickly. Chicken fajitas were good. Again, not much flavor (I'm guessing at this point they don't know how to flavor their food so oh well). Wife said the enchiladas were ok, nothing fancy, just tortillas rolled with cheese with cheese sauce on top. Server was good. Now came the bill. This is where you will want to pay attention..... I noticed my wife's enchiladas were &13.49, but there was also a charge for rice and beans at $5.00. I enquired why there was a charge for the rice and beans if it came with the enchiladas. Server reported that they didn't have a 3 enchilada combo with rice and beans, only a 2 enchilada combo. So she had to ring the enchiladas up separate as well as the rice and beans. Ummmm WART? You're telling me 3 cheese enchiladas were $13.49?? And then $5.00 for rice and beans?? So instead of making is a 2 enchilada combo with rice and beans, and adding and extra enchilada, you rang them up separately? Her food literally cost more than my fajitas lol. So apparently, from not knowing how to season food OR have common sense on how to ring up items, we won't be back. She didn't even try and find a solution to the outrageous pricing. Update: we were here for Cinco de Mayo 2024. I mistakenly left my credit card there. I realized it two days later, called them, and they had my card. Kudos to such an honest staff! Love this place. We usually go here to meet friends. We get there about 6:30. We get seated quickly and the service is great. We love the food there and try something different most every time we go. A COMPLAINT...... Pictures speak a thousand words, and I could kick myself for not taking one this afternoon. I'm a one trick pony. When I find a dish I like, I generally order it again and again. So when it came time to order, it was a no-brainer: "chori pollo!" I said. Look at the photo I originally posted. Today's portion was about one third the size. I complained to our server, who saw the meager piece of chicken. "I'm sorry," she repeatedly said. The manager ultimately came out. "I'm sorry," she echoed. "I'll have to tell the chef." "Fine and good," I replied. "But what about me?" She took $4 off our bill. (Big deal!) I'm not going to say I won't be back. I like that the patio is shaded in the afternoon, that it's relatively empty -- important to me during COVID -- and that Cocina is close to my mom's residence. But when three full-price entrees are ordered in addition to a pitcher of margaritas, I would expect staff to be more proactive, particularly with returning clientele who have a point of reference. Service was mediocre, the food was terrible I asked the server to give me the most popular dish and carnitas plate was recommended. The meat was dry and old I can tell it was reheated probably days of not a week old. The meat was so tough that I wasn't able to eat . CASH USERS BEWARE. In case anyone was wondering, not giving correct change is theft by taking. I learned my lesson a while ago that this establishment does not give coin change back. Today we gave them another try- with change in hand. When she entered the cash into the system, she "left off" the change and shorted me a $1 bill. Apparently their policy is to short the customer, no matter the amount. I'm disappointed because they have decent food, but I will not be stolen from, especially intentionally. Disgusting. read more

Entering the restaurant, first impressions are lovely and charming. Each wall is a different color, and the tables are modern and simple. Service is fast and amicable, and while the chips provided to us were warm and salty, the salsa I could speak less for. If you personally are not extremely picky about your salsa, don't worry about a thing. Myself I would rate it a 4/10. The heat level of the salsa is medium and pleasant, though it's overly watery and too salty to be enjoyable. Also beware, the prices here are quite high. Expect to pay between $10-16 before tip. I ordered a bowl of Chicken Soup, which contained tomatoes, chicken, onion, rice, and came with lime, avocado, and chip strips arranged beside the bowl, in addition to a taco, beans, and a beef burrito. The soup is great, quite healthy and filling. Almost feels nutritious to the soul. The taco and burrito are both well layered with cheese, and beef, with the taco containing lettuce. The beans were my least favorite of the lot, as they were interspersed with random whole beans. I didn't have any issue with the food or anything, until I saw the bill. For this bowl of soup, the restaurant attempted to charge $8.50, as well as overcharging us for my partners street tacos. A grand total of $47 before tip just doesn't seem like a fair exchange to me. Overall, I'd have to rate the restaurant along the same lines as their salsa. 4/10. PS: I forgot my taco at the restaurant. Such tragedy. read more

They could lay off on some of the salt in the cheese dishes but the food overall and service is pretty good.

The food was OK, but entree was fairly undersized and underwhelming. Server didn't pay much attention. When I arrived, she put down napkins practically in my salsa, not paying any attention. The margarita was purely awful. Not a great experience. read more

We went in on a Friday night and waited about 5 minutes for a table. Our Server Abby was friendly. Chips and salsa were brought to the table as we were being seated. I came in and sat down and it took 15 to 20 minutes for service. It took a long time to get my meal. When I got my order it was wrong so I had to sit longer for my meal. When I got the meal it still was not right but I ate it any way because I got tired of waiting. Then my glass was empty and had to wait for service. Servers are unfriendly. Don't sit at the bar unless you're a man if you want to eat. My friend and I got ignored by the female bartender, Rosy, but all of the men that came in were immediately served and got their food quickly. I've never had issues being served quickly when I sit at the tables. Rosy basically ignored us after getting our drink orders. What a waste of an hour! read more

They have a fabulous margarita, chips and salsa. Im sure depending on where you are from, it might be great. If you are from Texas, only stop if you want a margarita break and chips. The food is usually okay but the rating as of 5/30/21 was an 87. I think that rating is inexcusable and when we were seated it made sense. They weren't busy, they had to clean a booth for us, the floor in that area was a mess! There were about 5 employees standing around talking, not one of them came over to take our drinks actually nobody acknowledged we were there so after about 6-8 minutes we left. "Hostess" who seated us not super friendly, but efficient. Warm tortilla chips with a separate salsa bowl for each of us. Salsa had a little heat, but was well blended- no chunks& not watery either. The waitress was very friendly and smiling- calling us "amigos" and mi amore. The food: my $6.99 special of a beef taco and a bowl of chicken tortilla soup was actually pretty good. The soup was the star of the show - it came to the table boiling hot with tortilla strips, a lime and two slices of avocado(they give me migraines so I gave those to my wife). Soup was flavorful, full of chicken and tasted homemade. The taco was in a hard shell like you would get at Taco Bell, and was unremarkable- mild flavor was made better by adding salsa. My wife had the "speedy Gonzalez " taco and cheese enchilada with rice and beans- rice and beans were both pretty good- which to me says a lot about this restaurant because as sides, those are usually the two things that people rush through and don't care about when cooking. Enchilada had a strangely flavored cheese on it - when we asked what kind it was we were told "shredded". Oh yeah, there was a Fly in the restaurant but it didn't buzz us so oh well. read more
