I scrambled at the last minute trying to find a baker that could squeeze one in at the very last minute (less than 48 hours), and Martha really saved the day! The price was very reasonable, and she didn't ask me for any kind of a rush fee, even though I fully expected one. The cake was delicious - it tasted perfect! I still can't get over how great the cream cheese frosting was! I can only imagine what her carrot cake must taste like... :-) She has definitely won over several people as new clients, and I look forward to eating her delicious cake again soon. My visit was during the morning rush so there was a line to order but aside from it allowing me more time to choose my breakfast treats, I was also able to watch the baker pulling out fresh bread from the oven. It's truly a working bakery. The blue and white exterior is very eye catching as you arrive in the area and the warm natural color tones inside the bakery are soothing and elegant. The staff who took my order, as well as the one who made my coffee order, were very friendly and calm, despite having a decent line of eager customers hoping what they wanted wasn't taken by the customers before them.
