This sushi place seems to just keep getting better. Not sure if they had oysters before but I recently saw it on the menu. It is so good we get at least two orders everytime we come I also love all the nigiri they have. We usually pick the ones from Japan and it is delicious. The service is really good. I usually get my food without sesame and I noticed the other day they accidentally out a little sesame on it and instead of just picking it off and giving it to me the remade the whole order. Quick dinner on a Friday after work. The staff is always welcoming and made sure to check in on us regularly. Our first time here was last. It was happy hour before 5pm. Prices are affordable and sushi was flavorful. Today, we ordered almost the same items but unfortunately there was barely any taste. It did not taste bad more like freshly unfrozen with only some flavor and little sweetness. Hidden gem sushi spot tucked into a strip mall in the Cypress area with plenty of parking. I've been coming here for years and even after moving to Orange, I still make the trip back because the consistency is unbeatable. Service is always prompt and courteous, and the sushi chefs are consistently on point. Everything comes out fresh and well prepared. I usually come for the happy hour. It's all day Mondays and Tuesdays, and Wednesday through Friday from 2 to 5. The truffled salmon is the reason I keep coming back. Rich, buttery, and melts in your mouth. Also ordered the salmon skin, smoked albacore, and blue crab hand rolls. All delivered. This place hits what matters most. Fresh fish, fair prices, and reliability. Tried Sushi World Sushi for the first time and I'm glad I did. From the outside, you can't really tell what it's giving, but inside it's actually a vibe. The walls are covered in beautiful artwork, and the bar area felt relaxed. They had football on the TV when I came in, and a few people were posted up watching the game. They also had music playing, and I caught myself doing a little bop at the bar, so yes, the vibe was vibing. Service was a highlight. The guys behind the counter were super friendly and attentive, checked on me throughout, and when I ordered oysters they offered me Tabasco, which was a nice touch. Oysters with a little Tabasco? 10/10. I also ordered the #2 bento box, and it was a mix of hits and a couple misses. The cucumber salad was good, the sushi was good, and the rice was solid. The tempura veggies were a little soft and could've been fried harder, plus a little salt would've helped. The chicken teriyaki leaned a bit dry, but the flavor was good. Overall, I enjoyed it and I'll be back. For a neighborhood spot, it surprised me in a good way, especially on service, atmosphere, and the friendly sushi bar energy. read more

My low rating is for the sole reason that neither cooks wore gloves. I watch them handle multiple things food and non food items no gloves and never once washed there hands. Ordered a few things from the kitchen and about 5 rolls. The food from the kitchen came out relatively fast. Then the waiting began. We didn't time it, but I'd say it took about 30+ minutes for the sushi to arrive. And they arrived all at once. Wish the chef would make them one at a time and send it out, rather than what seems like grouping it up and making everything all at once before sending it out together. By the time the rolls came, we were pretty full and had a tough time enjoying them. Also, wasabi and ginger do not come on the same plate, so you need to ask for it - would be faster if they just provided it together. read more

The food was very good. The wait time, however. Around 7 pm on a Thursday night was 45 minutes for our food. That's after our order was placed. Huge to go orders and only two staffers running around meant hungry diners and then no open tables for folks waiting. Kind of a nightmare scenario. But once the food came, it was good. Fresh fish, delicious rolls and nigiri. Their focus is on the sushi so I wouldn't recommend anything else (the teriyaki steak was whatevers). Kids enjoy the udon though so that lets us eat here haha. I remember seeing lots of ads for this place during early covid times. Even though I live 5 minutes away, I couldn't make it here because we had our go to sushi place. We finally got to try this church after church on Sunday. We had a little group of 7. Tables here were either for 4 or 2 and there's the sushi counter. However they were able to put tables together pretty quick. (It wasn't busy here at all as there were only three other people) The menu consists of drink menu and a food menu. This place specializes in rolls, so that took up one side while the other side is everything else. Most of us opted for the katsu curry. We also got to try the unagi bowl, the karaage chicken. Spider roll, and spicy tuna roll. I just wanted to say taste wise, food is pretty spot on. I really liked the karaage chicken as it tasted like it was fried in potato starch. It has that light crispiness and airy. Not overly salty, totally appreciate this dish. The unagi Don was terrific. Has slight char on the eel and was the prettiest thing they made. But the sourness from the mirin flavor on the sushi rice was a bit much. Did wish they use less or mix it with regular rice. The katsu curry tasted like it wasn't from sushi cubes but rather curry powder. It was good but the potato and carrots were on the al dente side. Our katsu wasn't dry but was thinner than expected. Service here was good. Our waitress/front end/ water person did well. The rolls were okay, I do think for the price it was too thin. Most cut rolls are thicker than here. The bathroom is clean. If you see the inside of the men's bathroom, it's huge. Pretty much bigger than my bathroom at my pad. I'd come back for the unagi bowl and karraage chicken. I might give the curry one more try as they put those red pickles on the side like curry house days. read more

I rarely ever leave a bad review but this was easily one of the worst sushi experiences I've ever had. The sushi quality itself wasn't too bad, it was average (overpriced for its' quality). And the waitresses are friendly, but the food took ridiculously long. There were only 2 other parties in the restaurant, first order of 12 pieces of nigiri took about 20-30 minutes which was a little understandable. But the last 4 pieces of nigiri (2 orders of 2 pcs) took another 25 minutes! How does it even take that long with so little people eating in.. and then I look at the chefs behind the bar and they're hitting their cups of beer with the customers eating there.. I normally wouldn't have a problem with that IF my food didn't take ridiculously long. Will never come back, wouldn't recommend to others. Would recommend the owner to have his workers learn to prioritize their responsibilities more appropriately though. read more

Poor quality fish and small rolls. Caterpillar roll -my god the eel tasted fishy. Fish isn't suppose to taste fishy. Fishy fish means it's lived it's last speck of shelf life. This eel in this roll has to be the fishiest eel I've ever tasted. Bentley -one of the better tasting rolls. Love that eel and spicy Mayo sauce (not sure if the orange sauce was spicy Mayo).
