    Summer Rolls - DELICIOUS!
    Jennifer M.

Small, but EXCELLENT!!! Great atmosphere, service and delicious food!! The shrimp summer rolls were so fresh and full of flavor! With every bite there was a nice crunch from all the fresh veggies! I had the Shrimp Pad Thai and it was amazing! Likely one of the best I have ever tried. Very flavorful! Shrimp Fried Rice tasted really good, loaded with veggies and fried eggs! My husband had the Kee Mao and he said it was really good! We will definitely be back, for sure!!!

Get take out here all the time and dine in once in a while. Their stuff is sooooo good and fresh. I love the Pad Thai and their beef fried rice with extra veggies. Just so great.

I am so excited about this new Sivalai location! If you have been to the Sivalai location in Fairhaven, you know how yummy this local restaurant is - I actually think this second location is even better than the first! For starters, the decor is absolutely beautiful! You feel like you are stepping into another country. The walls and seating are tastefully decorated with plants, giving a warm and cozy feeling. The wait staff are extremely warm, welcoming and attentive. I ordered the chicken pho noodle bowl, and it did not disappoint! The broth was phenomenal, and the chicken and pho were fresh. They brought a large variety of assorted toppings for the pho as well. My boyfriend ordered the hot basil pad thai, and kept raving about how it was one of the best and most unique pad thais he's ever eaten. Prices are very reasonable, and they offer take out (which I can't wait to take advantage of!) The restaurant also offers ample parking.

Amazing Thai place! I've driven by here a million times and only because of Yelp did I realize this was actually a Thai restaurant, which is my favorite type of food. I stopped by and ordered the shrimp and chicken pad thai, and spring rolls to go. Even by them time I got home which was about 30 minutes later everything was still so fresh and the spring rolls still crispy. Honestly this place made everything exactly how I liked it, so I'm pretty excited to try out some of the other items on the menu. This place is a must try!

Food was good. Staff seemed very nice. The older guy at the front desk seemed a little bit frazzled and while we were there we saw at least 5 people call and say their order was wrong which they had to fix. Other than that our food was good, fresh, hot and on time. I don't know what was going on with the takeout lol The place is GORGEOUS inside! It transports you. It's lovely I think. Will definitely be back.

Been here several times. Close to horseneck beach good place to pit stop and have some nice Thai food after a day at the beach. Quality is consistent the curry is excellent, drunken noodles fantastic and the papaya salad crispy and spicy. Every dish we have tried has been good. I highly recommend this place

Gold mine stuffed between a liquor store and laundromat! First time at their new location (other in Fairhaven). Food was outstanding, fresh, hot and delicious. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing. Although not a large space they have made it reminiscent of an outdoor cafe style dining experience. Our host/waitress was very attentive, but not over attentive, and always had a smile on her face. We started with a shrimp summer roll for two and it's was incredible. Light, crunchy, and served with two sauces, one sweet and another more peanut based. Both were delicious. I had the chicken Pad Thai and the wife tried the basil Pad Thai. She could not stop complementing the flavor and variety of items in her dish. Mine was the typical ingredients but the sauce was light and not too overwhelming They provide a selection of four different spices in jars at your table to heat up your dish if you choose. Either way your palate will thank you for any attempt you make in adding one of them to your dish. I would highly recommend trying this as I believe it serves one of the best Pad Thai's I have had. Happy eating!!!

    Decor inside is beautifully themed.

    no lunch buffet... yet

Is DARTMOUTH Sivalai OPEN? Where do they post hours? Not on their Yelp page, and not on their webpage (which is non-functional).

Yes, they are open (I haven't heard otherwise). I'm not sure where their hours are posted. You may have to call or swing by.

I love the spring rolls and for the last few times I've ordered them, they've been small, overcooked until hard, and with minimal veggies in the middle. This dish tasted exactly how I remembered it in some of my favorite Bangkok restaurants that I've been to over the years. I've been to SE Asia many times over the years and will keep going back because of the WOW factor. So, details... the noodles are cooked perfectly. It's soft, but still has a slight crunch to it. The tamarind flavor is bold, but not overpowering. The peanuts, sprouts, chives and all the other ingredients were in the perfect proportion. The shrimp is fresh, crispy externally and tender when you bite down on it. This is by far the best Shrimp Pad Thai that I've had in Rhode Island. If anyone has another suggestion, then please let me hear it! The Thai Iced coffee was also BOMB! A nice caffeine jolt, creamy and not overwhelmingly sweet. The ambiance is that of a casual restaurant, the staff are awesome - knowledgeable, quick and kind. I came here for a quick bite on a bike ride break and will definitely come again to eat more on the menu! -ODL Connect with me! IG & YouTube: @AOEAT

Yet, maybe because of a total lack of internet presence, I never visited this spot. But, let me tell you... Bangkok City is now being added to my favorite local haunts! Don't expect much as far as atmosphere here - while it is neat & clean, I don't think anything has ever been updated. Very dated, 80's fern bar style hanging lights set the tone while (thankfully!) the horrid florescent tube lighting covering the ceiling remained dark. A few pieces of Thai decor & some travel posters reflected the cuisine. A TV in the corner silently showed a tennis match. Some quiet music would have been nice - it was far too quiet. But, don't let the lack of ambiance discourage you - it all gets better from there! The gentleman who greeted & served us, in fact, the only staff member we saw during our Saturday evening visit, was friendly & helpful. And the food was fabulous! We started with B-K-C Summer Rolls and Tom Kha Kai Soup. The rolls we crisp, fresh & tasty. The soup looked quite basic - just the coconut broth and lots of chicken and tiny treats of diced galagal. This soup often includes mushrooms & I've also seen tomatoes, onions, or sweet pepper slivers too. But, none of those extras were needed as the flavor was just perfection - so delicious! The large size was more than enough for two, definitely good for three or maybe four. We happily slurped it all up anyway. For entrees, Kang Keow Warn ( green curry) & Duck Curry were fantastic! With just the right amount of spice as we had requested & a touch of sweetness typical of central Thailand, they were served with rice & filled with perfectly fresh, crisp vegetables and meat. We were too full for dessert, but there were many interesting choices & I can't wait to return for mango & sticky rice. Prices here are surprisingly reasonable - literally half of what most local Thai spots charge. The short beverage list featured wine at $5 a glass and several beers choices at just $4 & $5 a bottle. Dinner for two with leftovers came to under under $50! They don't have takeout menus or a website, so we took photos of the menu for ordering take out, something I'm sure we will be doing very regularly for now on!
