Great food, warm customer service. I walked in to a warm welcome from the cashier lady. The open ended kitchen made me feel like the food was crafted right in front of me. I am super glad that dine in is now available, I can put as many sauces as I please! I met the owner and he was full of passion towards his products. I am SO glad we saw this spot while driving by. We had been longing for a good teriyaki place in Downey and we finally got one! We ordered the chicken & steak combo plate and a beef bowl, they both delivered in flavor and value. The secret really is in the sauce. Didn't get any photos because it was so good we devoured the food. Definitely will be trying the teriyaki fries and Downey burger on my next visit, they look absolutely delicious. Can't forget the staff. The girl at the counter was so kind, so sad I didn't catch her name, but she was great! 10/10 recommend that you check them out. read more

It was a perfect coincidence, I wanted something that was slightly healthy and cheap and nearby and this place just opened up like a couple months ago I guess but it had several five star reviews so I tried it and indeed the sandwich was fantastic. So happy that this place opened up! The chicken teriyaki plate and the medium chicken teriyaki bowl were really fantastic. I called in the order and they had it ready in less than ten minutes. So awesome since I live about 5 minutes away. We found the chicken to be super soft and moist, and I liked the amount of sauce that they put on the order, not too much and not too little. Their customer service is really excellent too, both over the phone and in person. The shop is spotless and they have a glass partition up for extra protection. Masks worn by all, which was so appreciated. The only note I would give is that the sauce on the side had a stronger taste of molasses, which is really interesting. It was good but a little stronger than I would like. Overall, five stars for sure. I definitely will come back and can't wait to try out the rest of the menu! read more

My go to teriyaki spot. I really love the flavor on the teriyaki here. The chicken is moist and juicy. The chicken is also not fatty at all and just tastes really clean and fresh. The teriyaki sauce itself is nice and thick and coats the whole plate perfectly. The prices are also good as its 10 bucks for a ton of food if you get the teriyaki plate. I get the chicken and beef teriyaki plate and I get satisfied and full. Great little spot if you are craving teriyaki and want something a bit healthier than typical street food. read more

Teriyaki was great here! I am from Seattle the home of teriyaki and this place stood tall. You could tell they care. The chicken was grilled to perfection, the sauce was on point. The second time I went in the same week I added a burger and fries. I couldn't stop eating the fries in the car. Loved the seasoning. The sauces were all made in-house and we're delicious. I'm giving them a three because I've ordered a couple of times from here and the food tastes really good. The downfall is that they always mess up on my order or I'm missing something. I get it the workers get busy during lunch time but the manager should try to get more people so that they don't keep messing up on the orders. The first time I didn't get my salad the second time I got only one small piece of salmon when in their description/picture it shows two and then today I told them 3 times the teriyaki on the side and the sesame seeds. The teriyaki was on the food and no seeds were put in my bag. I share this plate with my daugther and she doesn't like teriyaki hence the reason I ask for it on the side. So I decided to give this place around the corner a try and wow finally a real teriyaki place in the city of Downey the meat is not dry or full of fat like most places chicken is good quality chicken none of that full of fat leftover chicken rice is perfect and the sauce is great I also had a double cheeseburger and wow I no longer have to travel for a burger like this I won't compare it to my other spot out of respect but I will definitely becoming back great job read more
