The outer layer was so tough and stringy it was hard to chew. In general I found it lacking flavor and kind of bland. The sauce seems to be an attempt to compensate for the flavor issue. This is my third time visiting the Modesto location in the last few months. Again, they didn't appear to be busy, less than 10 people eating and three people ahead of me in line. The person in front of me was told it would be a forty minute wait, she walked out. I approached and asked is it really a forty minute wait? Yes, with a smile. I'm not sure why this place hasn't improved on their time to prepare your order in a timely manner. Teriyaki bowls are one of my all time favorite things to eat so I was super excited to try this place. I can honestly say I wasn't disappointed. The service was prompt and polite. The food was hot and tasty and the portions were enough for two people. I can't wait to try their salmon Teriyaki and other menu items like the chicken egg rolls and potstickers. Finally gave Teriyaki Madness a try for lunch. I arrived around 12:45 PM--definitely not the best time. The cashier let me know there would be a 25-30 minute wait. There were only 3-4 people ahead of me, but several were working in the kitchen, so not sure why the delay. If you're on a tight schedule, I recommend calling in your order ahead of time. I ordered the 6-piece potstickers ($5.49) and a regular Teriyaki Chicken Bowl ($11.49) yakisoba-style, which adds noodles and veggies for an extra $2.89. Everything is stir-fried together. The potstickers were tasty with a unique texture--crispy edges--but the dipping sauce was a bit too sweet for my taste. The chicken bowl had great flavor. I didn't even need to add the extra teriyaki sauce. The regular bowl is a perfect portion. Despite the wait, there was plenty of seating available. My daughter & I ordered chicken teriyaki I got it with noodles she got it with white rice and vegetables. There was not very many vegetables in either one of the bowls. Noodles were similar to panda . The chicken was kind of chewy and there was a couple pieces of fat. I should have got rice. Teriyaki sauce was very sweet. Food was fresh, just a little pricey. We had the orange chicken, chicken katsu and spicy chicken. The spicy chicken was way too spicy for me and I normally like spice, my husband liked the spice. I replaced my rice with noodles and would like to try fried rice next time. Noodles were good and the combo came with a delicious egg roll. I recently ordered a large teriyaki steak bowl with double protein from Teriyaki Madness. The price for the double meat upgrade is pretty significant, and according to their portions it should come out to about 16 ounces of meat. When I got home, I decided to actually measure the portion because the bowl looked smaller than usual. After weighing it, the steak portion came out to only about 12 ounces, which is noticeably less than what you're paying for with a double protein order. I understand that there will always be some discrepancy, but at least it should be closer to what I'm paying for. I've ordered from here multiple times before, and in hindsight the portions have often seemed a bit inconsistent, but this was the first time I actually measured it. It's disappointing to pay extra for double meat and not receive the full portion advertised. The flavor of the food is still good, but portion consistency matters, especially when customers are paying extra for upgrades. I hope management can work with the staff to make sure protein portions are measured more accurately so customers get what they're paying for. read more

I came for the soft opening with my boys. I ordered the steak teriyaki with white rice and veggies they had the chicken with with rice..we also ordered potstickers. Attended the soft opening on 7/30/25. The purpose of the event was to give out a free meal in order for chefs to practice cooking the menu (Had to sign up online). I ordered the steak bowl with yakisoba noodles and veggies (regular size), as well as 2 appetizers, the chicken egg roll (1pc) and crab rangoons (4pcs) to go. Steak bowl w/ noodles was delicious. Steak was a thin cut but not too thin. Veggies consisted of cabbage, broccoli, carrots and zucchini. Everything was cooked perfectly. It was also a good size portion, you won't leave hungry. They gave teriyaki sauce on the side, if getting to go I would ask for an extra if you like lots of sauce. Rangoons were really good, not too heavy on the crab taste but just enough, 10/10. Chicken egg roll was good as well. They gave a sweet and sour sauce packets with the rangoons and egg roll dipping sauce for the egg roll. The restaurant itself was clean, organized, and had teriyaki sauce and sriracha on each table. The staff were very friendly, and accommodating! They also got the food out faster than I anticipated for a soft opening, less than 10 minutes. This experience overall was 10/10 and I was very impressed for their soft opening. One gentleman was picking up a Togo order that was larger and is u derstandable if they were busy but a quick hi we will be right with you would suffice. I turned around and left. The spicy chicken was tender, very flavorful & perfectly grilled. Nice charred edges!! The orange chicken was cooked perfectly and the sauce was tasty! The eggroll was worth the extra calories, super flavorful, especially so with the special dipping sauce you can add on. The veggies had a good amount of crunch, cooked perfectly. I don't like overcooked soggy veggies, so this was a bonus! The wait was longer than I expected, but it won't prevent me from returning. Glad I tried more than one protein. However, the wait time to get your food is consistently long. It seems like the owner or franchise needs to take a closer look at how the front counter and kitchen are being managed. Nothing beats the Quality of the food and serving size of their bowl! Definitely way better than panda or any place I can think of around Modesto when it comes to teriyaki bowls. The food was delicious, as well. Love that there were extra sauces on the table. The restaurant itself had a fun esthetic. The downside was the entrance space. No one knew where to stand and there was very limited space between the door and cashier. I was on my way to In&Out and saw this place, so I parked and looked up the reviews. I almost headed out because of many low reviews, but realized they just opened and hoped they had taken the criticism to heart and fixed things, it seems they have!! When entering, I was greeted and spoken to very politely and cheerfully by staff, only waited 5 minutes for my to go order, the food was of great quality and was fresh, hot, and yummy and I was happy with the portion size for total of $13.05!! The spicy chicken was wonderful, but very spicy, make sure you get a drink, or ask for a cup for water-its free!
