It is a little hidden behind a small grocer, right across from McAlisters and next to the carwash. The restaurant is so clean, I thought it had recently opened. But it's been open about 1 years. You will likely have a short wait as the food is fresh and made to order. Everything tasted very healthy! Nothing seemed like it was doused in butter or coated in salt. We had a pretty solid experience at Teriyaki Special. We went during lunch time and everything is made to order. We went through the drive through. They also had hard copies of the menus if you drive up. We got take out. The dude at the window was super cool and helped us out with some menu choices. They have a lots of drinks and prices are pretty affordable. We ordered through the drive through. After we ordered, we pulled up to a parking spot while we patiently waited for our food. We got the food delivered to our car. I got the two items with chicken katsu, teriyaki chicken, stir fried noodles, and mixed vegetables. My woman got the one item with Teriyaki pork and fried rice. The food came out piping hot and delicious. We got three different sauces with our orders. All super tasty. I would definitely recommend coming to teriyaki special for some good eats! read more

Must be new owners. Food is completely different and not great to what it use to be. I've posted great reviews on this place before but today it was unacceptable. I called the restaurant after DoorDash dropped it off because it looked and tasted completely different. They told me no it wasn't. I brought up my concern of sogginess and how it's not fresh and crunchy like it used to be. The ladies' response was "it's just the way it is. Maybe next time I order it'll be better." Very clean and wonderful restaurant that I stop by every other week to get their tofu entrees. Food is freshly made with quick service. They have a TV that I watch when eating. This is the only asian restaurant I know of in the Wylie and Murphy area with a drive thru. If you enjoy fast asian food, this place is for you. read more

I thought it was alright, I got the chicken katsu but I thought it was pretty dry...the noodles and rice were good, but nothing special...and the jasmine tea was good if you like that sort of thing. Overall I felt it was mid, but I hear good things about some of the other menu items so I'll have to come back and try it again. read more

I have been here quite a few times I like the food. I normally order in the drive-through. Very polite and looks very clean inside. I must admit I saw this place on my FaceBook page; if I had not, I would have never tried it because it is back off the road. I drive by multiple times a day and never saw it until it came up on FB. I've been getting my car washed next door for awhile now and when this place opened I had to come try it. I ordered pork teriyaki and chicken bites with sweet chili sauce, fried rice/chow mein noodle. Everything tasted great, nothing was over seasoned or overwhelming. I got two orders one plate with teriyaki chicken and orange chicken both was hot and delicious the chicken was very tender the orange chicken was still crunchy when I got it home my second plate was teriyaki beef which was very tender Smoky flavor with the chili spicy chicken also very good crunchy and tender and steamed vegetables were awesome I will definitely recommend this place and we'll be back. read more

Oh my word, this is our new place! It is DELICIOUS! Everything was made fresh to order, hot and delicious! We got the teriyaki chicken, katsu, and sweet chili tofu, along with the rice, string beans and noodles. We loved it ALL! The tofu, even if you aren't vegetarian- dude, try it! Popped in after work, food was great. The only issue I had was the crab Rangoon had a funny taste. It might be cause I am used to having cream cheese with little crab, but the ones here use real crab meat. The guy did warn me about it, so it's not their fault. The gentleman that took my order was super nice and since I was a new customer, he gave me 10% off my entire order. Great customer service right there. Since everything was made to order, had to wait a bit but it was no biggie. Overall will come back again if work sends me out that way again. read more

Brand new restaurant, super clean and pleasant. The food was fresh, very tasty, and light. Loved it. We had combos with teriyaki chicken and teriyaki pork, fried rice, and veggies. Everything was lightly seasoned but still tasty and made to order (except the steamed rice, I guess ). The teriyaki sauce we received on the side was very light but good, and the... sweet and spicy (?) sauce was also light, not too sweet but not spicy at all. The food is served in Styrofoam take-out containers. The owners were extremely friendly, helpful, and attentive. Super nice. If you like simple, wholesome Asian food, give it a try. I worry this place's biggest problem is their rather hidden location. Anyway, to the review. The staff are nice and friendly. The restaurant is spotless. Everything is cooked to order. The shrimp is great. The teriyaki chicken is good. The fried rice is okay. The veggies are better than most places (e.g. Hawaiian Bros) but are not up to my gold standard for a veggie side, which is Panda Express. After a couple of visits, I think it will be a place I will go to every once in a while but not part of my regular rotation. read more

This is a family-run place with fresh and simple food, kind and quick service, and *crazy* value for the level of thoughtful preparation you receive. If you check the menu, you will know exactly what to expect. I hit the drive-thru for lunch and ordered the chicken teriyaki, garlic green beans, and fried rice. The chicken was perfectly tender, the sauce was delicious and light, and the green beans were flavorful with just enough crunch. Fried rice was delicious too, though I will probably order it plain next time to better enjoy the extra sauce. We've eaten at this restaurant on a number of occasions. Food is consistently good quality. Chicken is fresh and always juicy. The sides they have are green beans with garlic and the lo Mein is seasoned well without being dry. The location is farther off Hwy 544 with another building partially blocking the restaurant's view from the highway. But it is well worth dining in or getting takeout. read more

This is a hidden gem (literally)! The food is flavorful and doesn't feel like fast food. It's not greasy and doesn't make you feel like crap after eating it. Got the two item plate with teriyaki chicken and beef with two sides of fried rice and lo mein. The fried rice and noodles actually had flavor. Not at all like the mediocre stuff you get at Panda Express. They don't make the food until you order it so you know it's fresh. I hope more people find out about this place! read more

We also had the pleasure of talking with Mr. B, who shared his vision for the restaurant and how he wants it to be different. You can genuinely feel the love, pride, and passion he has poured into this place--not only in the atmosphere but in every bite of food. Following some of his recommendations, we started with the chicken gyoza. They were perfectly fried, crispy on the outside, and packed with flavor. For my entrée, I ordered the tofu yellow curry at spice level 4. Let me tell you--it was SPICY! But it was also absolutely delicious. I can't wait to order it again, although there are so many other menu items I want to try too. Jason ordered the chicken Pad Thai. He's extremely picky about noodle texture and thickness, and he devoured every single bite. He ordered spice level 3, which was almost too much for him, but that didn't stop him from cleaning his plate! Of course, we had to finish with the mango sticky rice, which was my favorite part of the meal. I poured every drop of that sweet coconut sauce over the rice and mango, and there wasn't a trace left on the plate. We even used the extra sauce from the gyoza in our dishes because everything was just that good. There's a reason Rumdoul is sitting close to a 5-star rating. The food is incredible, the service is wonderful, and the passion behind the restaurant shines through in every detail. We will absolutely be back--and as soon as our little man arrives, we'll be adding sushi to our order too! Giving Rumdoul 5's with zero hesitation.

We awarded this dish our Best of the Best for Chicken Parmesan, and that is something we reserve for dishes that truly separate themselves from the rest. Service was excellent throughout the night. Our server Erin was attentive, knowledgeable, and helped guide us to some great choices. One small note, the fish and chips did not quite match the level we had experienced on a previous visit.
