On my second visit, I ordered Mongolian Chicken. The employee said it had onions, and boy did it ever. It seemed that there was more onion than chicken. That said, it was tasty and the portion size was fine. The employee who helped me was nice. Not my favorite place, but I would consider giving them another shot, because my first was okay. read more

This will be my last time ordering food from Yen China. I ordered egg drop soup, spring rolls, shrimp with snow peas, fried crispy noodles, and an appetizer of fried wontons. Everything is fine EXCEPT the fried wontons! I paid $6.80 for a small box of microscopic little wontons filled with maybe a half teaspoon of meat? These fries wontons are about 5 or 6 times smaller than the size they used to be! They probably used about 1, maybe 2 regular sized wonton wrappers to make this pathetically small amount of fried wontons! if I can figure out how to add a photo, I will. Do better, Yen China!!! I have visited Yen China Cafe three times and the food has been pretty good on all three visits. Their cheese wontons and shrimp fried rice are delicious. I will be back to try other dishes. The egg rolls weren't memorable at all. This place stays busy with customers so if you're in a rush, order ahead for pickup or have it delivered. read more

It was not as expected. Ordered the beef flat noodles it was dry and the meat tasted old with an after taste. Egg drop soup was the norm I ordered the sweet and sour chicken and pretty sure it was orange chicken when i opened it when i got home. And it was. Incorrect order input and i am not an orange chicken fan becuase it was drenched in sauce. Avg place to get chinese food. This was my first time here and I will say, I will be back again. The fried rice is fresh and has a savory taste to it with little chunks of chicken in it (which I thought was great). The sesame chicken was tender and sweet. The portion size is definitely worth the price! I enjoyed my meal a lot and the customer service was great. Delicious and inexpensive and very friendly. It is rather small for sit down with cafe seating for maybe 20 but they also have a fast delivery or pickup. It's not special, but ok price, decent taste and quality, but I,m thankful compared to so many crappy Chinese restaurants.

3rd time trying here on Saturday was simply a waste of 25$.. the shrimp fried rice was way overcooked to the point the rice was hard to chew. The egg roll was slightly undercooked, and the Singapore noodles were hard to chew. Times are already hard, and to pay for food that wasn't good sucks! I won't be returning here. The best Chinese food around!! Used to get it a lot before I moved to east Texas back in 2017 & we moved back to DFW & here we are in 2022 & the food is just as great! Orange chicken is my go-to, edamame is super yum, cheese wonton with sweet & sour sauce is to die for, wonton soup is fantastic, & of course fried rice is awesome! All they would need for 5 stars is a better sit down restaurant. The food is 5 stars in my estimation. I crave the hot&sour soup with delicious noodles to add at your discretion. The dumplings are wonderful and the sauce sends them over the top. The Cheese Won Tons are a delight. That's just the appetizers. I have not tried all the dishes and if you've seen the menu, to do so would be a major feat. What I have had has been delicious. The only dish I wasn't crazy about was the snow peas and fish. I believe, since we ordered delivery, that the fish sat too long in sauce and was mushy. I should try it at the restaurant. As in most restaurants, take-out/delivery is never as good as fresh at the table. My better half loves the Orange Shrimp and tends to order it often. I always share a bit of her shrimp and love it. Last night I had the Mu Shu Pork. I had an excellently balanced portion of meat and vegetables. Dipping a little portion of steamed rice in the sauce made for a tasty treat. The servers are quick and thorough - the owner is gregarious, quick and anticipates your needs - "Do you need a bag for your boxed leftovers?" One of the best parts is - I always have enough left-overs for lunch the following day. It would be nice if they had a larger dining area - the thing is, we love the food so much we really don't give it much of a thought. One can't help but wonder if a larger dining area and a better location wouldn't propel them to the top of the food-chain (pun intended). read more

I called a manager the manager would not talk to me on the phone. Red flag. When I showed up the manager said, " I don't work here." Well he was the manager, he was on shift. He said he only works on the weekend for his parents. No accountability for a mistake they had made. They offered free fortune cookies. How cheap!! Came here the first time for lunch customer service was awesome and had the Mongolian chicken with fried it was pretty good, came here the second time...good customer service & got the same order with lo mein noodles, I probably only had about 5 pieces of chicken and more veggies and the fired rice was hard. I'm not sure if it's bc of the person who was cooking, but I most definitely wouldn't come back here.
