I was passing through town on a road trip and had the Teriyaki Ribeye and Chicken over Rice (add Spicy) delivered to my hotel. For me, teriyaki is normally not something to write home about - is is kind of standard faire - but in this case I was inspired. First off, amazing portion size! I ate my fill and I'm a pretty big eater.... Both the chicken and ribeye were well-grilled - perfectly done without being overcooked. Added bonus were the little charred steak bits . The sauce was really good too - perfectly teriyaki flavor with just a cloying hint of spiciness. The veggies were cooked al dente, and the salad was crisp and well-dressed. If I lived in the area, this would probably be a weekly stop! I can't give it a better endorsement than that! Definitely worth a try! Teriyaki Spice has been open for about 2 years but haven't been on Yelp so I didn't know about them. It is hidden across from Sonic in a corner of the shopping center. The menu is good. They have a variety of teriyaki dishes, including teriyaki burgers, as well as, sides of noodles and rice. The food is delicious-the salad is excellent, the teriyaki has really good flavor and they give large portions at a super price. Brenda helped answer all questions and brought the food out. Food and Service is excellent, ambiance is ok-the place is very clean and you can't beat the price and value. We stopped by here on the way home from California. My husband was wanting teriyaki so we ordered ahead. The ordering was quick, we knew exactly what we wanted and was advised that the order would be ready in about 10 minutes. When we got there, we only needed to wait an additional 2 to 5 minutes, which was OK since we could use that time to use their bathroom. The food was delicious. The woman working the front counter was just a ray of sunshine I asked for a Diet Coke and she asked if I would like to try the Fresca that she makes, she gave me samples of both, and I ended up getting the watermelon one which taste like you were biting into a watermelon, so good!! I got an order of eggrolls and beef yakisoba, the inside of the eggroll skin was not cooked fully, I still ate it anyways. The yakisoba, had a type of sauce, added onto it, I can't pinpoint exactly what it was but I know there was ginger in it. Quick service for when youre craving and need something to go. I ordered the orange chicken. Tastes like orange chicken but the chicken is very squishy. The crunchy parts of the chicken were at the bottom of the tray but only a portion rather than a side. The rice is a bit sticky which is always a good compliment whenever eating Chinese food or teriyaki. Good portion of food provided even when you take the dish to go. I just made this because I got it and it was awful.. again.. I have came here since this place has opened, it started off wonderful, good chicken with light sticky rice. Since I have been going here they started to nickel and dime everything. Adding sauce to food $2. Extra sauce to go $1. Which would be fine, but! The food I get from this place anymore is no where worth the price. I took my daughter here last time the food was very cold, I'm not sure it was all the way warm.. I think the use precooked chicken.. anyway! I got it again tonight the rice was very stale and mushy. Very dissatisfied with the food tonight... my husband wanted rice with his meal and got noodles. My sweet and sour chicken was over done. It seemed as if the workers gf or wife that may have also worked there was in a broken down van outside the restaurant. They recruited an elderly customer to come take a look at the van ‍ They were ALL out inspecting the van when we walked out with our food. The food was stale. I got egg rolls that were clearly from Costco. If you want water, they give you a cup and direct you towards a dispenser like you have in the office. This was our first time at this restaurant. It doesn't look like much from the outside and it's not a fancy place. But we were very pleased. We wanted to find a different place to each after an early church service. Many places aren't open by 10 am but Teriyaki Spice is so we thought we'd give it a try. It is an 'order at the counter and seat yourself' kind of place but it was exceptionally clean. There were booth and table options. There were 3 in our party and we all ordered teriyaki chicken but different plates. The price was good as the portions were plentiful. There are lunch specials Mon-Fri but we went on Sunday. One in our party ordered noodles instead of rice. We weren't really pleased with the flavor. The rice was much better. And the egg roll was crispy and hot, tasty e first but not so much when it cooled. We all agreed we would be willing to visit this restaurant again. Food was pretty good +1 I liked how they don't put sauce on the meat for take out because it usually ends up being soggy... +1 pt. Now I ordered extra meat for $7.00 and it's totally not worth it. They put more salad in the to go box and only add a few more pieces of meat. You're better off just ordering a second order and actually get double meat or just not ordering it at all. All in all, it's decent food, NOT ALL THAT QUICK. I might or might not go back. I would only recommend it if you go in and sit down to eat. That way they can fix what missed on your order. I have visited here 3 times, and the second visit left me really less than happy. I am on very low carbs so I ordered veggies instead of rice or noodles and the first time, I was really happy with mostly cabbage with broccoli, carrot and onion. Second time, I got RICE and about 1/2 cup of plain unseasoned broccoli and got hit for an extra $3. That time, I ordered the salmon, and it was okay but not seasoned in any way . . . not even salt. I didn't discover the error until I got all the way home and settled in my pajamas, so I went back yesterday. I told the manager and his answer was to say "sorry" but didn't offer to make good or even give me a partial allowance toward my order that day. read more
