Slow music, cozy setting, beautiful place, with delicious sushi! You are seriously in for a treat! Service is A+! If you are looking for a great date night or even just waiting for your family at the airport cell phone waiting area! Order to go! They are quick and everything is awesome!

My expectations were far surpassed! I came with a group of ten close to closing (so sorry). We were greeted with a smile and a table. Our waiter was very friendly and quick. The menu at Kobe has options for everyone. I love pork udon tonkatsu and was so excited to see that on the menu. It was rich and creamy! The pork was a little overcooked for my liking though. I love udon and would return for this.

Easily 5 star experience, from top to bottom. Not the easiest place to find, but when you do, it's so worth it. Sushi was fresh, well rolled, perfect consistency. Miso was good, Edamame was very good, but sushi rolls were awesome. My new favorite place for lunch or dinner, can't wait to return for sure. With so many mediocre sushi places in Portland, this is not one of them. Service was pleasant, nice, professional, engaged. All & All; Congratulations, Kobe Sushi you did it right and won my heart. Also, Mochi is great too !

Nice surprise! Close to the airport... plenty of parking. Everything we ordered was excellent! I especially love the cucumber salad! The dressing was sooo refreshing!! The baked mussels was so yummy! I will def bookmark this place for our next visit!

Kobe Sushi and Ramen deserves a 5 star review. Great service and delicious food in a super convenient location right next to the airport. We started with pan fried gyoza and edamame as appetizers and enjoyed some hot tea. For the main course we ordered miso ramen with katsu chicken and the Flamingo Roll. Everything was fresh flavorful and perfectly prepared. Highly recommended if you are near the area.

My FAVORITE sushi place now!! I went solo and loved it so much and have been talking about it for weeks. Can't wait to take my bf next time!

The food was great. A perfectly done shoyu egg in the ramen. So much umami! The noodles weren't typical ramen noodles that you'd find at a ramen restaurant. While thin, the noodles were white and straight, almost like somen but had a chewier texture. I'm not sure what the noodles were. Service was good and the food came to our table rather quickly. There is music playing in the background, but maybe it is loud enough to make the airplanes taking off and landing nearby at PDX.

Ambiance was really nice. Customer service was ahhh :/ The food was okay. The calamari was not it, super oily . They forgot my Thai tea and when they brought it was watered down as see on the photo .

We tried this japanese restuarant for our dinner since its near to our hotel in portland. The interior is nice and very japanese style. I like the serving and the food is i can say okay too. Since I tried a good japanese resto i can compare that this is a little bit not so good for my taste. The salmon is kinda dry. The tonkatsu ramen is no good. The noodles are very thin and the soup is not creamy at all. Ramen is one of my favorite dish so I can really tell the difference. The takoyaki is good and some of their sushi is okay. Nonetheless its good for trying but i dont think I will come back again. And one more thing to comment is there is one family who came after us but they serve them first because im not sure but i think its their family friend or what. So i think its not a good example to do that.

Came to Portland for a one-week vacation. I booked a hotel nearby and was craving sushi near the area. It is a super nice location within walking distance of the hotel and PDX airport. Parking is a bit small and snug due to Dutch bro's drive-thru. I called in to take it back to the hotel to eat. I ordered their: Dynamite (Chef Recommend); California Roll top w. Baked Scallop, Crabmeat, Masago, Crunch & Special Sauce. It was so good! I love the scallop on top of the California roll + special sauce. It's not overwhelming. Staffs are extremely friendly and I highly recommend this place. I came back twice for their gyoza as well. Both weekends, the place wasn't packed and was very quiet.

I'd been wanting to check Kobe Sushi & Ramen out for a while now, and an opportunity finally presented itself. The location is SUPER convenient, as it is VERY close to Portland International Airport and Cascade Station. The parking lot is sizeable, and easy to maneuver. The interior is bright, open, and inviting, with a modern and warm appearance. Service is outstanding! All staff were incredibly helpful, friendly, and enthusiastic. The menu is HUGE, and I really want to come back to check out their non-sushi offerings (we stuck to sushi on our visit). The appetizers, sushi rolls, and nigiri were uniformly great! The rice was PERFECT in every way! While this may seem insignificant, I've had plenty of overcooked, undercooked, mushy, and improperly seasoned rice at many other places. It is amazing how much perfectly-cooked and perfectly-seasoned rice elevates everything. I strongly recommend the sushi tower, the kobe roll, and the humble but amazing hamachi scallion roll. I'm VERY impressed with Kobe, and am really looking forward to my next visit.

This is the perfect lunch spot. Their service is fast as hell. The restaurant is clean and quiet. It definitely doesn't feel like you're dining right outside the airport. I was relieved to find this quiet spot to de stress after a recent flight. And let's face it; airlines pretty much starve us so yes I was a ravenous and yes this is all I ordered cause I was planning to cook later that day...cook or order pizza you call it... Anywayyy the sushi was delicious but sidenote: they do Not serve sake. I noticed it listed on the menus other people posted on here but my waitress let me know they don't serve Any alcoholic drinks. All in all that didn't matter cause the ambiance and food made this restaurant a really cool stop.

Super affordable lunch specials! I stopped in here before my flight leaving PDX and got sat right away. I ordered their lunch special which came with miso soup. Everything is very affordable given the area where it's located. Would highly recommend coming here with friends before your next flight out of PDX

I ordered the red miso, and there was sugar snap peas and asparagus, which is unusual. The individual ingredients themselves were fine but as a whole, it didn't taste like miso or spicy ramen. The overload of vegetables didn't seem to belong in a typical miso ramen dish (my go-to order) and rendered the broth quite bland. My husband ordered the black shoyu ramen, which was pretty one-note. Ota Tofu is one of my favorite spots in Portland for their amazingly fresh tofu, and it's right across from this ramen shop. Sadly, the tofu they used here was fried to a crisp, lost most of its flavor and had an unpleasant, sharp texture.

I had the Spring Rolls - Nem Nuong (sausage) and Special Luc Lac (beef tenderloin), both were delicious and large portions. Spring Rolls were packed with veggies, noodles, and sausage with a tasty peanut sauce. Luc Lac Beef Tenderloin was tender and juicy with slightly crispy outside. Large fat chunks I cut into smaller pieces. I also loved the rice and salad too. Very filling and delicious! Notes: I came on a weeknight for dinner and it was popping! I was able to snag a bar seat after 5 mins since a couple people finished their meal. You order at the front desk and then head to seat. They have self-serve water, utensils, and takeout boxes. If you're not downtown, they also have a smaller location on the east side! To start I got the takoyaki, or fried octopus balls. It was crispy on the outside, light and fluffy on the inside, with a tender and chewy piece of octopus, topped with a sweet sauce and fish flakes. Yum!! For my main, I wanted to try one of their broth-less udons and chose one of the specials, the Mentaiko kama-tama Udon--house-made flat udon noodles tossed in and onion oil, bonito, and soy dashi sauce. The noodles are topped with Men-taiko (spicy Tarako caviar), soft egg, tobiko, tempura puffs, green onions, and nori. I also added ikura (as recommended). I've never had flat udon noodles or broth-less udon but I'm forever changed. The minimal broth allows the toppings to be the stars of the show, and here was no exception. The flavors were complex, but balanced, and the variety of textures kept me coming back for another bite. The soy dashi sauce was full of umami and a subtle spicy kick, the fish eggs added pops of saltiness, and the tempura puffs and green onions added some crunch and offset the richness from the other toppings. The house-made noodles also made a huge difference, they were chewy but tender, and soaked up the soy dashi perfectly. I could not recommend Shigezo Izakaya enough!

Tonkotsu Shoyu (4/5): A deeply comforting and classic bowl of ramen. The soft-boiled egg was perfectly yolky, but the dish would've been elevated even further with a slightly more generous serving of chashu pork. Tonkotsu Red (5/5): A unique variation for those who love a bit of heat. It shares the same chewy noodle and vegetable foundation as the Shoyu, but has a spicy broth that builds and ramps up the more you slurp. The heat was a distinct, subtle numbing sensation reminding me of Sichuan peppercorns, creating an incredibly flavorful and unique twist on a traditional tonkotsu base. Logistics Tip: This is a fast and casual self-service setup where you walk right up to the counter upon entering to order from the menu displayed on the wall. I liked the curry and rice a lot. The pork had a nice texture that was fun to chew. It had some bite to it. It also felt meaty and satisfying. The rice was cooked well too. But unfortunately the bowl was super small. It's a $4 add-on to the curry that you can finish in like 3-5 spoonfulls. Maybe that's not terrible as an add-on; I dunno.
