We came in the afternoon. I really like this place. It's bright and clean. Same with the restrooms. Ordering is very easy and the service is excellent. We ordered the 12 piece chicken wings dry rub with a few sauces on the side. These are so tasty and crispy. Perfect chicken wings if you're a dry rub fan like me. Tempura shrimp-crispy, crunchy deliciousness. You can taste the tender shrimp clearly. The sweet chili sauce dip is a perfect compliment. We ordered creamy curry chicken Ramen, and the tonkatsu. They.com a good sized bowl and steaming hot. I love the perfectly cooked creamy egg. The noodles were perfect as well. I asked for some chili crisp, which they did not have. He brought some Korean chili powder. I also added soy sauce. The chicken in the creamy curry was flavorful and tender. The pork in the tonkatsu was a delicious bite. Im originally from LA and i never expected the interpretation of ramen to be different here so i was in for a wild and unpleasant surprise when i tried the spot closest to my house first, which was Kenjis Ramen. Absolutely terrible. The noodles are by default the thick ones which i've never liked and the broth didn't have the richness of flavor and heaviness of what i was accustomed to. From then on i was very discouraged and didn't try ramen again here for months to come, when i finally did again at a different spot, i was again dissapointed by the default thick noodles and no option for regular noodles, also the lack of richness and heaviness in the broth. I tried a total of four different spots and started thinking i might have to wait to go back to visit LA to enjoy ramen again. They were all terrible. I didn't understand what the obsession with thick noodles was here and still dont. It should always be optional, not the default. It had now been three years since living here that i had not experienced the taste of ramen i knew, loved, and was close to my heart. I suddenly felt the deep craving today to have real ramen again. I decided to roll the dice again hoping i might get lucky this time. Except this time i made sure i could clearly see what type of noodles were used in the pictures, if i couldn't tell i skipped the place. I was trying to take as few chances as possible. Rakuzen was 15 minutes from my house by delivery and i could tell by the pictures that regular noodles were used so i rolled the dice so to speak hoping that if the right noodles were accounted for and the broth didn't dissapoint me, i may have found a winner. We've been here a number of times and not been disappointed. Food selections are sufficient to not get overwhelmed. Atmosphere was comfortable, colorful yet subtle Asian decor. The service alone was 10/10...our waitress was so sweet and excited to help us since it was both our first time. She walked us through all the ordering options and was super accommodating. We ordered the pork bun, but my friend doesn't eat pork, so she offered to substitute karaage chicken instead...which ended up being delicious. I got the Spicy Miso Ramen and my friend got the Spicy Creamy Chicken. Both were really flavorful and hit the spot (ramen overall 8/10). This gem is located in what used to house BurgerIM, inside a small strip mall behind the Costco. When you sit down there are three ways to order. From the table via a QR code (order, pay, all of it right there, via a kiosk, or they do have the ability to order at the counter. I started off with Takoyaki, which came out after a few minutes. It was well battered, hot, and flavorful. The bonito shavings on top were smoky and delicious, and the sauce wasn't overly sweet. Plus the salted, pickled ginger was a wonderful addition to make it less heavy. My main dish was the Rakuzen Red ramen. It had a creamy pork based broth, with tender pork, black fungus, bamboo, and delicious noodles. It also had a bit of spicy oil which gave it a wonderful flavor. They also had Kirin Ichiban beer on draft, which was delightful and crisp. Overall the entire experience was top notch. Hands down the best ramen and service locally in the Vancouver area. read more

I can't believe that Crispy Pork Bun was down the street from me this whole time! My husband and I came in around 12:45 after a walk at Lacamas Lake. We've been watching Culinary Food Wars on Netflix and I've had this spot bookmarked for a long time. Not to mentioned - it's next door to the sweetest dental office! The inside is SUPER clean. I came here late afternoon to try their ramen, I've heard a bit about this place. There is good amount of parking since it's right next to a Costco. Surprisingly, when I arrived here at around 4pm, most of the tables were filled. This restaurant isn't super big, but has a decent amount of seats. I also didn't think most folks eat ramen this early for dinner, but anyways there was one wait staff and what looked like two folks in the kitchen. I saw that food came out pretty quickly. However, when I got in, I was told to take a seat and I didn't realize to place an order I had to scan a QR code. Anyways, they have a kiosk, you can go up to the front or order via QR code. I got their Chicken Karaage which let you choose spicy mayo or regular mayo. I choose the regular one. The karaage came out piping hot and crispy. I do wish I had a wedge of lemon to squeeze lemon juice on top rather than a thin round slice... the karaage was moist and they use dark meat. They are pretty big in size for 4 pieces too. I also got their Rakuzen Black ramen which was on the recommendation list on the menu. It came with a good amount of noodles, lots of corn, black fungus, bamboo shoots, chashu and half a seasoned egg. The broth itself was mediocre for me, didn't have the richness of a tonkotsu broth but maybe that's why they put its pork & chicken broth on the description. When getting ramen I care a lot about the broth and it wasn't special. Considering the Camas/Vancouver area doesn't have many ramen spots, this is a good start. The chashu pork for me was dry even though I tried to rehydrate it with the ramen broth. They do give lots of chashu pork for the ramen which I appreciate, just the pork needs a little bit more fattiness. The half seasoned egg was good, wish it came with a whole one. Overall, this place is okay. It's a nice spot to get ramen if you don't want to go to Portland. Food comes out quickly too, and good portion size for the price. read more

Nice and clean. Despite the name being a ramen place, the ramen was alright. A good broth is key for a good ramen. However, the soup felt very two dimensional ( I've had worst.. so not one dimensional ) . It was not as flavorful, but the ramen eggs were better than expected. The egg was gooey, sweet and savory. Everything was okay. Not great but passable. We've got the red ramen and the curry chicken ramen. The red ramen came with 3 pieces of pork chasu. They were definitely on the smaller side, but were ok. The noodles almost tasted like instant noodles- not great. The curry chicken ramen tasted watery. The broth did not have a lot flavor. This ramen comes with "chicken chasu" which was a bit dry and not common for a ramen place. All in all, not bad. It definitely gives me the vibes of a "wannabe authentic Japanese restaurant". We were craving Ramen and it was later in the evening. A quick Yelp search brought us here to Rakuzen. We were greeted and seated immediately and the staff were super friendly offering recommendations when asked and very kind and attentive. There are TVs playing above and one had anime going which my son recognized as a classic long running show. The menu was easy to read and choose from. They offer great food choices on the menu, but I see more options listed here on Yelp! The Chicken Karaage we devoured and I didn't grab a picture in time but so crispy and really good sauce! We went for the Rakuzen Black (my favorite, with black garlic oil) and the Rakuzen Red (my son likes spicy). The drink choices were great! Went here for the first time today. This is a small strip-mall place but the service we got was excellent. The server was friendly and attentive. Even though this place has counter service he came out from behind the counter and took our order. We enjoyed our ramen! Waiting for all the kids to get haircuts just down the way meant, by the time they were finished, we were all famished. Rakuzen seemed like out best choice, as even the pickiest of kids loves ramen. Turns out, I was the pickiest of the bunch, this time! Between all of us, one of the kids had the Kids Ramen bowl, the other one wanted buffalo wings and fries (OK, so I was wrong about everyone liking ramen, apparently!), my wife ordered the Spicy Miso, I had the Rakuzen Red (with the Rakuzen Inferno add-on), and some gyoza to share. When everything arrived (slightly staggered, but reasonably fast and close enough together not to be an issue), everyone dug in, and was notably happy with their selection...except me. The Rakuzen Red was...bland. Really bland. And not only that, it wasn't spicy at all, even with the Inferno added! My wife's Spicy Miso was spicier, and far more flavorful. I thought maybe it was just me and my burnt-out-from-eating-spicy-everything-everyday taste buds, but my wife confirmed what I was experiencing. It was disappointing, but the only downside of an otherwise excellent meal, enjoyed by everyone else at the table. I'll chalk this one down to me being the problem, this time. Ordering and paying happens at one of the stand-alone kiosk stations scattered throughout the interior, although the servers can assist, or take your order themselves, if requested. As mentioned, orders arrive reasonably fast, and the servers are attentive enough despite being somewhat removed from the action. Rakuzen* didn't exemplify the "joy of dining" for me, but I seem to be the odd man out, so bear that in mind when checking this place out, and feel free to ignore the grumblings of an old man who didn't get his tongue lit on fire for once. I'm sure others will find the rakuzen in a steaming hot bowl of ramen here, as long as they're not expecting to break a sweat. *rakuzen means "joy of dining" in Japanese. read more

You can never have too many ramen joints and Razuken is a nice addition to Camas. Had the ramen and karaage and it was good. Everything was good, but not great. The main issue was the noodles which didn't have the right chew and texture. Not a terrible issue but wish they would use Sun ramen like many other restaurants do. The karaage was good too. You can either order on the computer by the door, scan the qr code & order on your phone, or go to the counter. We decided to order on our phone & I like that you are able to customize your ramen, like if you don't want certain things in it. It's great to have a tasty simple ramen choice in the East Vancouver/Camas area. It wasn't the best nor the biggest portion of ramen I've had in the Portland area so 4 stars. Most ramen bowls were about $15, which is a bit more than other shops. And portions were smaller in size in comparison to other shops. On the plus side, all the tastes for each item, especially the broth were on point. And you get plenty of cha shu and corn though having a whole egg would be nice. Gluten free review: We saw this fun little ramen house so we stopped in and had some warm ramen! Good news they cater to gluten free. Score! When you go in you sit at the table, scan the bar code, order and pay. No worries though if you prefer to order at the counter you can. They were knowledgeable about gluten free so that made me happy. They were all very nice. The counter has cute lights. I love the little atmosphere created. Simple and fun. We went there the first time and got the pork and chicken Tonkotsu. Was not a favorite of mine. It has a chicken soup flavor to me. The chicken wasn't my fave either. I give it a 3 out of 5. But still go in and give it a try. We went back and tried another ramen. I got the miso with pork. I thought it was yummy! I would definitely get it again! I give it a 5 out of 5. The gluten free noodles were good. My daughter got the Rakuzen Red. She gave it a 5 out of 5. The bowls are a good size. The price is around 15.00 a bowl. They have a kids bowl for about 10.00. Everything was warm cozy and delicious. They have seaweed salad that's gluten free. I didn't get it this round. TL:DR: very flavorful broth! The Chicken Karaage is a must get! Karaage Chicken: THE best karaage I've ever had. The chicken is cooked to perfection and is not dry at all and the breading is perfectly crunchy and not too thick! It's like the chicken was coated in chips! Creamy Chicken: really flavorful! The "cream" in the chicken broth is purely from the chicken being cooked for so ling which is amazing! Tonkatsu Black: my personal favorite flavor and is very rich! The noodles are a perfect Al dente texture. The yolk in the egg has a great jelly consistency! I love the freshness of the green onions. The corn adds a nice popping sweet flavor with each bite.
