Came here on a rainy weeknight; I was pleasantly surprised to see a larger Ameri-Chinese menu up on the wall (not just Teriyaki by a long shot!) We ordered the orange chicken and teriyaki chicken plates. Service was great - friendly. Reasonable prices. Both dishes were REALLY good - the sauce on the orange chicken so yummy and it stayed pretty crisp even after being sealed up in to go. Thoughtfully provided napkins and plastic forks. I've eaten here once before and then have taken take out twice and all of these times, I have been pleased with the foot. I always get the Bento Plate and this time I got the spicy beef. For the price I feel that it is a great deal. You get a salad, rice, side, and protein. It's a generous amount. I have tried the chicken before and decided to try the beef and I think I will stick with the beef. The chicken is great, but the beef....YUM! I love that it is spicy, but not overbearing. Goodness, let's go back to the start...the salad! The vegetables (aka lettuce and what not) is fresh and crisp. The salad dressing is perfect on it. As I said, the plate comes with a scoop of rice and the one I ordered had Spicy Beef. The side is Gyoza. My husband got the spicy chicken and his came with egg rolls. Good amount of food for $17.99. I ordered the chicken katsu plate. The portion size of chicken was decent but the scoops of rice were kinda small. Chicken was good and crispy. The rice was cooked nicely and not mushy. They put the salad separately which is great so that I don't have soggy lettuce. Lots of places to sit inside. Good came out pretty fast. I wish they had a potato salad/mac salad as a side since it's kind of like Hawaiian plate lunch style. Service was friendly. You get free soup when you dine in. Will be back read more

I have been a stones throw from here for over a year and never made it in. What a mistake! I'm so glad I finally walked inside. The team is quick taking orders. The inside was clean. We got our food fast and it was way more than I was expecting. The service was huge for what I paid. The chicken teriyaki was delicious. The rice was cooked well and the salad was a nice bonus. Very good! I was visiting a friend in the area and we stopped here for lunch. We got a beef bowl and a chicken bowl. Great portion size, meat was cooked with a little char and I loved that! Grabbed some chicken yakisoba to take home. It was prepared in less than 15 minutes (three full entrees), and was still hot upon arriving home. The chicken has that perfect char, the noodles are real soba noodles, not spaghetti noodles like some other restaurants pass off. Well done. read more

This is our go to for local takeout. The staff greets you with a smile, the food is consistently delicious, and the prices are not too bad. At KC Teriyaki, you get a lot of food for your money. Your plate or takeout box will be full. Some of our family's favorites are the spicy chicken, classic teriyaki thighs, and the orange fried chicken. If you get the spicy chicken, it is chicken thighs stirfried with veggies and served with two big scoops of white rice (cannot sub brown rice). You can order different levels of spiciness on this dish. If you really like it hot, order a five star and make it clear that you want to cry, and they won't let you down! I try to avoid eating fried food, but when my kids order the orange fried chicken, I inevitably end up stealing bites off of their plates. I have to go again but so far it was great the first couple of times I went with my husband. I had teriyaki chicken, kal-bi shirt ribs and pot stickers. The portions were big and the food was tasty, more veggies than some other places. However the last time I went to take my Mom and tell her how good it was the portion sizes went down and the prices went up. The food is good but unless the portions stay consistent and the prices don't keep rising I don't know that I'll be back. read more

Not sure if they're under new management or what, but food is hit and miss now. Lots of people sitting quietly waiting to hear their number whispered by the cashier. It's still pretty clean though. This is my first visit and I decided on takeout. They are now open for business and seem to be practicing good social distancing and employees wear masks as well, so in house dining is now available and seems to be safe. The food and portion size is excellent. I got one of the combo plates - chicken, beef and fried dumplings. Comes with rice and teriyaki sauce. The chicken and beef were both very tender and the dish was very tasty. I also purchased chicken breast teriyaki style. Also, very tender and tasty. The shrimp tempura is a great appetizer choice. This is our families favorite place to get take out in Salmon Creek. We love every dish we've tried. My personal favorite is the chicken yakisoba, and I ask for extra veggies. Yum! We've been to KC Teriyaki almost weekly for nearly a decade (even during the early 2020s "take-out only" period. About time, I guess, to write up what's so appealing. Clean, neat, plenty of tables, and always a friendly greeting as we come in the door. Order at the counter; your selections will be delivered to your table and the wait is never over-long. A wide variety of plates & bowls are offered, and all of those we've sampled have been delicious & more than ample. Not to be forgotten, there's complimentary hot soup (usually egg-drop) available for dine-in customers. What else can I say, this place is great and we're sure glad they survived the economic slowdown that put way too many good eating spots out of business. read more

We have gone here at least 8 times now and every time we are met with great service and consistently tasty dishes. I mean it's basic teriyaki and other American Asian dishes but they're still really yummy. There wasn't a staff at the door, I think I would have appreciated someone coming to the front to check in with us about wait time estimations, but they only came to the front to tell us to put our name down after 20 minutes of us kinda waiting by the front. They took our order quickly, certain items they mentioned they were too busy to make, which was fine and understandable. So they'd recommend another dish in its place. The reason I mainly knocked a star is once we ordered, the appetizer came out quickly but no one ever really checked in on how we were doing, we didn't get a water refill or at least were unable to flag anyone down to do the quick bringing out of plates to other tables waiting and zooming back to the kitchen. We eventually got one of our entrees the honey walnut shrimp 15 min later, but no bowls of rice. We had to wait until our second entree came out 10 minutes later to get to enjoy our meal with the rice. I would've preferred if the rice was brought out earlier or at the same time, and trying to flag someone down for the rice was difficult. Eventually by 830 pm we got our last dish, the vegetables. Which would have been ideally eaten alongside our proteins. Wait times were very long, which would be overall fine if someone had communicated or checked back in. Food overall was fine. Honey walnut shrimp was more caramelized here, I think other spots tend to be more on the creamier side. Fish fillets were more breading than fish. Vegetables were fine overall, probably not the stunner last entree dish to finish off the night but overall fine. The appetizer beef tendon were good, it definitely has that numbing sensation with the peppercorns you find. Overall, for a Sunday night for dinner it was bustling, a lot of folks were waiting for items and I overheard other tables asking for things to just be cancelled due to the length of time it took. There's lots of tables and booths, it got fairly loud but nothing out of the ordinary of both restaurants.

We tried a curry flavor hot soup with glass noodle, cheesy milk hot soup with glass noodle and Thai flavor hot soup with glass noodle. They were all excellent. Just be careful when eating because the contents get extremely hot. I was surprised how tasty the cheesy milk stock was. I think I will try the tomato version next time.
