We decided to go to Teriyaki Time because it was the teriyaki place closest to our hotel. This was only second time we've had proper Seattle-style teriyaki and we don't have that much experience with this dish. Still, teriyaki uses pretty simple ingredients and techniques, so I figured most places would be pretty similar and equally delicious. Teriyaki Time seems to do pretty decent business. While there was no one eating in when we arrived, there were a couple of takeout orders picked up during the 10 or so minute wait for our food. The staff is fast and friendly, so I can certainly see why this place is popular. Chicken Teriyaki ($13.99) - The chicken is tender, moist, and wonderfully basted by the sweet and savory teriyaki sauce. There's a bit of a char, adding to the smokiness and complexity. The thigh in particular is tender and moist. Some portions of the breast are a little more fibrous and woody perhaps? Those pieces still taste good, but the texture feels off a bit. They are very generous with the portion size - the chicken almost completely covers the perfectly cooked rice below. The rice absorbs the delicious teriyaki sauce, making it flavorful and delicious. There's a small container of extra sauce if you want to indulge further. I'm not sure if it's the same sauce they use to baste the chicken with - it seems to mainly be soy sauce with a bit of black vinegar added. The teriyaki is served with a pretty typical salad with the sweet, tangy, and creamy dressing. There's shredded carrot and pieces of iceburg lettuce. It's nice and refreshing and complements the chicken and rice well. (4/5) Again, teriyaki is a pretty simple dish and seems to be good wherever you go. If you find yourself near Teriyaki Time and you have a craving for chicken, it's a solid choice to try. read more

My husband and I were in the area around lunchtime and wanted teriyaki. Teriyaki Time was less than a mile away, i walked in placed our order. Due too social distancing the establishment is closed for dine in, plexiglass parameters, and hand sanitizer provided. Customer service was pleasant, and the order was ready quickly (within 15 minutes.) My husband really enjoyed the Garlic chicken and shrimp, and crab rangoon. My vegetable Yakisoba was filled fresh vegetables, favorable, and not greasy. If we are in the area we would order from here again!! read more

Better than I had expected! I'm not the biggest fan of teriyaki but this place surprised me. We got the Mongolian beef, kung Pao chicken and shrimp fried rice. All were super delicious and tasted fresh! The flavor was great. Mongolian beef is a hit or miss and usually a miss most of the time, but absolutely loved it. I'll be back for more. On a recent trip to Washington this restaurant was close by the hotel my family and I were staying at. We (my kids especially) loved the chicken katsu so much we went here 3x during our stay. We also tried the gyoza and crab rangoon. Both very good as well. Love that the chicken katsu isn't heavy on the breading and had no fat pieces which I prefer. This has become my go-to for lunch recently. Biggest annoyance is traffic can be problematic trying to left-turn into here going Eastbound. Usually not badly crowded. Make sure to speak the order clearly, staff is courteous, wait time has varied a little but never badly slow. Yakisoba and spicy dishes are good middle-grade rating. Portion sizes are fairly good. Very enjoyable lunches. I always get my orders takeout, but the tables, chairs, and in general the whole place is very clean. So I live less than a mile from Teriyaki Time. And I really really want to like it. Their service is always great, the woman that takes my order always is lovely and friendly. And the spot itself is clean and comfortable. And did I mention I live super close? OH, and I really love Teriyaki, particularly spicy teriyaki. That is why I'm SO sad to not really care for Teriyaki Time. I find the chicken dry and typically tastes and feels re-heated. Thats the LAST thing teriyaki should be. This was my favorite restaurant until this evening. I am not sure what happened. The spicy chicken teriyaki tasted different, meat smelled old and the meat was still pink and it was just covered in their sauce to hide it. Where to begin.. My family has been going here for years and it used to be our favorite spot, but I definitely will not make another visit here. Price has gone up at least a dollar or so, but the portion and the quality of food have gone down. This is not your typical strip mall teriyaki place. I was greeted as I walked in by a smiling young woman at the counter. I sat down after ordering and she brought the food out to me. The food was hot and very fresh. Perhaps slightly smaller portions than your typical teriyaki place but that's a fair trade for fresh. The interior design is the biggest surprise. Very close to where I live so we used to go once a week. The chicken started to feel like it was hard and dry. It's like it was being precooked and then cooked again on the grill creating a thick skin on no skin chicken. So for the last time I called and ordered I mentioned it to them. What I like apart from the food is that the owner (don't know her name) will personalize your dish as you want. Want Ramen noodles with more meat and less spicy? No problem. Want free tea to drink?
