Today, I was craving banh mi and pho, so I researched places in Bothell and found one with good reviews. It was late afternoon and not busy. The food was good; I got the large portion instead of the small because it was only a $1 difference, so I figured I could take leftovers if needed. The meals were delicious--I especially loved the bread with pork. The service, however, was not as impressive. I was given a crumpled napkin and had to get another one, hoping it wasn't used. Just amazingly well cooked Vietnamese food made with love. I had their Bamboo House special and it was so flavorful. Full of fresh ingredients and the best fish sauce. I don't realistically expect great service at small casual pho restaurants and it was a busy day, but it was one of the worse experiences here. I have a toddler and I asked the person serving twice for a little bowl or plate so he can eat. He said yes each time but then ignored the request. So I had to make do with my kid eating from my plate. My son's bubble tea was forgotten and I had to ask twice about it before they remembered to make it. They did not provide my son with water or anything to eat with either while we waited. It is as if they ignored him as not existing. We needed a couple takeout boxes for my sister and my son, but that was ignored too. She just went to the front and asked for it. The food itself was ok. It was nothing to rave about but not bad if you are in the area and don't know where else to go. So, I guess if i've checked in and eaten here over 100 times, I better have a 5star rating? I was enjoying my large bowl of #15 beef pho, and looked at Yelp and saw that my last review was 10 years ago! And I'm mainly visiting today wrapping up some business as I transition to our new home in Astoria, OR. Likely the last time I'll eat here. Still, IMO, a top-tier Pho restaurant on the eastside. I'd rate one other on the same footing in Woodinville. The large bowl is, well, LARGE. Its alot. The plate of goodies is usually sufficient (jalapenos, thai basil, wedge of lime and sprouts). A full tray of additives at your table - hoisin, fish sauce, cock-sauce (if you dont know, well, you dont know), sambal, chili oil, and yes even salt/pepper. Are you new to pho'ing? Big spoon in the left hand, chopsticks in the right. Work at it, you'll get it eventually. Be adventurous, get those scary things like tripe and tendon! I will miss coming here, the husband/wife team here have always been friendly and kind, service quick, and my bill ALWAYS right. Prices have risen a few dollars over the years, and COVID hasnt helped any with the rise in prices due to COVID. I was happy to leave a final generous tip. Ordered the chicken Bahn mi sandwich and pho with well-done brisket. I wish the sandwich had a little more sauce because when I ate half the next day, it tasted pretty dried out. Next time I go, I will need to ask whether I can get a small portion of the marinade they use to pickle the vegetables (vinegar and spices). Sandwich: bread was flaky and fresh, vegetables were crisp and delicious! There was tons of chicken on this sandwich. Unlike everyone else ordering this sandwich, I think next time I order this extra vegetables and light meat. ( I know that is crazy). Still, the vegetables were THAT good! The PHO was even better. kind of my last straw with this restaurant, i've been going here for years but it's gotten much worse with time. major prices increase, quality of food and quantity decrease. i've only been coming here to get the pho craving because it's close by my house. but it's gotten to the point i'd rather just drive an extra 5-10 min for good pho (good pho you). i've gotten to-go from here several times, and asked for uncooked noodles, they just don't do it. the noodles fall apart and i just ended it having to throw almost $20 for a bowl of pho away. today i got lemongrass chicken ($17) , i've shown two pictures. usually it comes with fish sauce and pickled vegetables. they have not been giving the fish sauce lately, so i've had to ask every time. but seems like they're just giving soggy rice now. also notice the color difference in chicken, ate it cause i was starving but it looked off. read more

Maybe the worst Vietnamese food I've had? I ordered the fried tofu vermicelli salad which was very specific in its description. When I got it it was the lettuce, cold noodles, carrot & peanuts as described but not the plain fried tofu as described and shown in the picture. They glopped on a pile of disgusting slimy hot broccoli, onion, cabbage and fresh tofu...it had a gross brown sauce that it was cooked in that got all over everything. Clearly they had made too much of some other gross dish and instead of giving me what I ordered they gave ne a scoop of that. Setting: Pretty standard pho restaurant in Bothell, WA. Right now, doing mainly take out. Normally, there is plenty of seating inside, even for larger groups. Food: Have tried the pho, eggrolls, and vermicelli. Everything is pretty good, comparable to the pho restaurants in Seattle. The pho broth is 4 out of 5, noodles 5 out of 5, and meat is 4 out of 5. This is probably my go-to place in Bothell for pho. I even tried take out from here during COVID. The trick was to reheat the pho broth to make sure it was hot enough to cook the raw meat that came separately. I transferred everything into a large bowl and it basically felt like I was at a pho restaurant. Value: The prices are pretty standard and the portions are decently large. No complaints. Service: Never an issue. When doing dine in, the servers were nice and attentive. When I do take out, I usually call in advance and they have it ready in time. Really good Pho! We've been coming here for years and we love the pho. It was shocking to walk in to place an order for pho and see it empty. This place is always packed but then I realized with covid, no one is allowed to sit inside. They have really good food with lots of different options to pick from. You can even get the pho to go.
