This is probably the worst company. In December 2025, we discovered mice in the attic, so we called Terminix. The salesman, Eddy, came to my residence and quoted $12,000 for the exclusion, insulation replacement, and solar fans. Eddy then offered to encapsulate the crawlspace for $12,000. After completing research, we decided not to hire Terminix, however, Eddy begged my wife to give them a chance because they were under new management and have change their ways. Therefore, based on our needs and giving Eddy a chance, we decided to just have Terminix complete the attic, without the fans ($6,300). We also went with a different company for the encapsulation due to Terminix reviews. The crawlspace was flawlessly completed, by our local company, in 2 weeks. But, Terminix was dragging their feet on the exclusion and insulation. We provided them with a credit card, after we hired them, in which they said it was policy. After several weeks (end of Jan), a sudden charge to my credit card from Terminix for $1700, which was odd because the attic was $6,300. I called Terminix and they explained it was for the exclusion. Due to the charge not being authorized and the exclusion not being complete, I contacted my credit card company and placed a hold on the charge. I called Eddy and explained that they did not have authorization to arbitrarily charge my credit card. They did not apologize and I stated it was borderline fraud. I had to call cooperate and after a couple of weeks (end of Feb). They finally finished the 1 day job that was suppose to be completed in Dec/Jan (about 3 months after they were hired and several phone calls). My wife then wrote them a check for the remainder of the payment due however, they then ACH my checking account for the additional $1700, which they had already charged my credit card. This was not with my authorization and they never told us. Just be aware that the management running this branch are very shady and will charge any card you give them without authorization and not complete the work when agreed upon. Cooperate does not do anything to assist with the situation and seem to be very hands-off. Please do not fall for this as my wife and I did because they will not complete the work as promised and start charging your credit card without authorization. read more

They never came to inspect my home unless I called them to remind them of my contract. Then they came out and filled out inspection sheet and never got out of the vehicle. I've dealt with this problem for 3 years. They are not reliable do not use !!! read more

Called to rid my home of an animal in the wall and exclude intrusions. Representative came and accessed my home for the work. She was told a very tall ladder was needed and she missed a large opening at the rear of my house during her investigation. She was insistent on being paid, in full, prior to the work being started. I refused, telling her I would pay only upon successful completion of the work to my satisfaction. She eventually agreed but, strangely, sent us an email for us to reply assuring payment. We reluctantly replied. Workmen showed on time and the work was very substandard and unprofessional. They were not dressed well as you see on TV. They were extremely sloppy and very very dirty. Their vehicle was raggedy all beat up. The representative failed to tell the workmen they needed a 12' or taller ladder as we had emphasized to her. They did not have a ladder tall enough with them. They sat in my garage for SEVERAL hours doing nothing while the supervisor brought them one from a long distance away. At one point, one of the workmen just took a walk on my property without permission. The level of workmanship was so poor that I had them out several times to do it right and professionally. One of the workmen was a young man who constantly referred to me, a Senior African-American, as "Bro" and 'Dude." Very culturally insensitive, lacking in respect and unprofessional. When this was brought to the attention of the supervisor, he seemed unconcerned and asked if I had corrected him and that he did not know how he had been raised. I suggested that it was not my function to correct his people and that he should train and supervise his workers better and more closely. He still seemed quite unconcerned. After a while and numerous return attempts and nearly 50 days, the supervisor came out and assisted the worker and the job was finally completed to the lowest acceptable professional standards. This was an awful customer experience! The amount paid ($1200) was a very poor value for the service rendered. The work performed would have been overpriced at half that amount. I suggested a price adjustment downward after all the above and my time spent and all my aggravation and was firmly told NO and that $1200 was the agreed upon price and I will pay exactly that. However, I was offered a consolation prize of a FREE 2 year warranty for Terminix should I need additional work on this matter. I refused and told them my experience with Terminix Pest Control was so bad that I did not want the warranty and never ever again do business with Terminix Pest Control! And told them we stopped all service from your company the guy said ok and noted it. Hired them for bedbug treatment. They showed up to the first appointment no issue but then never scheduled the 2 week follow up and ghosted us for 30 days with no call returns and any time we could get a hold of anyone they gave us the run-around and redirected us to someone else who promptly wouldn't answer or get back to us. Won't refund our money either, despite failing to provide the service we paid for (the 2-week follow up is a vital part of the initial treatment and we are back to square one). In August I reached out to Terminix via their website to aid in riding our home of brown recluse spiders. I already have a pest control guy and just wanted them to come do a very through spray that included hard to access areas of the house. I was quickly called after applying online and a date was set. On 8/5, LLOYD KILLEBREW arrived at our home and sprayed baseboards and outside the home. He did not access the attic. Hours later, EDWARD HUNROE arrived while only my wife was home to set "termite traps". These traps, my wife was told, were include in the service. My wife was asked to sign for the service (unaware that her signature was for a yearly contract) in place of me. Because we didn't feel a good job was done, we contacted Terminix to cancel service. In September, we were told this apparent "contract" was cancelled. We were again billed in November. I contacted this company once again and was told to speak with the local branch during business hours. I contacted the Goodlettsville branch and asked to speak with a manager. I was not forwarded and instead had to relay the same information to another Terminix employee who had no authority to correct this. This "contract" has my name on it and was signed by my wife this should be void due to Misrepresentation. In total, MY account has been charged $1,254.84 based on a contract we weren't made aware we were signing. If not being made aware of a contract or not being satisfied with the service are not good enough reasons to be removed from this contract without penalty, then being held to a misrepresented contract is what we are pursuing corrective action and a refund for. This company makes it extremely difficult to speak with anyone helpful. We have reached out 3-4 times and have been told a manager would call us 2x but haven't received a call (we have recorded phone calls as proof). Do not recommend them at all! After hiring them for a termite inspection (which was supposedly free of charge), they technician charged $50.00 for an inspection that showed no termites. Called customer service, the first lady I spoke with was very nice, but then Pat called me and was very rude and diminishing to her co-workers. She said the girl who spoke to me did not know anything other than to answer the phone! They were dishonest and tried to state that we had termites... made so we enter into a contract with them or better yet, have the house treated for termites. Do not use them! After using Terminix for two termite inspections I called for a quote on putting in a sump pump and new vapor barrier in my crawl space. They came out as scheduled and gave me a quote (tried to upsale but weren't pushy). I signed a contract and they aren't supposed to charge until the work is done. Fast forward, it took 7 weeks, they closed the account and charged me almost a month before the work was done which made a nightmare when I would call and say the work wasn't done. I called corporate to let them know and they are supposed to respond within 24 hours... I got a call a week later saying they would come fix the mistake and two weeks later haven't seen them. read more

I had a horrible spider infestation in my home and a coworker told me to call Terminix. I spoke with them and the first treatment that they recommended was to take the electrical wall plate covers and spray a power inside the walls. This treatment was very expensive and was promised to cut down the number of spiders that I was seeing by a great number. And if I saw any spiders, call them and they'll come back out. Let me just make this two year experience short. Not a day when by in all of the time that I was dealing with Terminix did I NOT see spiders. As a matter of fact the number that I was seeing increased. And every single time that I tried to used their " come back out" guaranteed I was told that it was too soon. That there was too much chemicals in the house and by law they couldn't come back out. I was on the monthly plan so I had no other choice but to wait. But they did nothing for my situation whatsoever. Here's the kicker. I terminated my contract with Terminix and hired another company. They did the same treatment of spraying inside the walls and one day I was washing the dishes and just noticed how you could tell that they wall covers had been removed . BUT when I was with Terminix it was not noticeable which leads me to believe that they kicked me out of my house for an hour while they had free range of my house but DID NOT do what they were getting paid to do. There's no telling what that man did in my house but one thing I KNOW that he didn't do was to spray inside those walls. He even told me that he was going to spray the attic and when I asked about it he said that he decided not to do it. I spent THOUSANDS of dollars with them and was no better off. read more

Very dissatisfied with customer service in regards to Jesse Smith, the technician, who never showed up for initial quarterly inspection of my termite baits on the Aug 30, 2017. He never even gave me a courtesy call to let me know that he won't be able to inspect my termite baits resulting with my gate was left open for the rest of the night, which was a security issue for me. And it happened again today, Sep 1st, 2017, no show and no courtesy call. And I am a loyal customer and this is how I am being treated. So I tried to give Terminix a chance because they are a household name from back in the day but they screwed me over so many times I had to write this review! The customer rep told me that Goodletsville location is the one that services my area & my home so this review applies to this particular Terminix and whoever handles their billing & services First off my agreement was to pay my bill via phone call when I call and not to have it automatically withdrawn from my card on a few occasions I found myself contacting them reinstalling that I do not want AUTO DRAFT!! Then, when I call did to explain to them that a payment was taken out and it was double what I was originally paying they guaranteed me my money will be put back onto my account I still haven't received that money and it's been weeks now. The customer reps however sweet still do not have any knowledge about what's going on with each account on quite a few occasions I was given wrong information on when they scheduled me an appointment the times would never accurate and it one particular situation a Terminix guy came out to my house but once he got there told me that my account was not Active and there was a balance due when I had just paid the complete balance three days before why would you get to my house to tell me this bs and then once he called his office he was told everything was OK with my account but now I have to wait till Monday for service when there was a massive bee hive in my backyard..! It seemed like I was being charged constantly for services not performed or some type of Acct billing error that hindered service.. Never Ever Again use them! First of all this Terminix company located in Goodlettsville,Tn does not deserve a 1 star. This is the most unprofessional company on the planet from the person that comes to your home to the supervisor that back him up on the practice they do business. A worker called me to let me know that he was coming out the next day to do a yearly inspection and needed to go under my craw space. I told this person that he had to go under my craw spay through the inside of my garage. I did not ask him, I told him do not come I was going to be out of town, and I would reschedule the inspection. He ask me if he could come on out and check the outside of my property anyway. I directly told him no, I did not want him on my property when I'm not present. I could not be any clearer to not be on my property. After returning back to my residence, my wife observed Terminix inspection paper on our door. I contacted the person that came on my property and asked him why he came out after I told this same person not to be on my property due to me being out of town. He stated that I did not reschedule a service. I contacted the supervisor and he backed his employee on their practice of coming to a residence unwanted. Terminix in Nashville is an odd, and bad business. Most field workers are nice, but if you're trying to speak with a manager level person, forget it. We had a mouse infestation in the attic and contracted to have the old insulation vacuumed out (along with the mice and excrement). The guys who actually did the work were hard workers, but their supervisor, Tyler Hlad became a ghost as soon as the contract was signed. Half the house was done, then the guys were pulled off because terminix over-scheduled. I began to call after a few days. No one returns calls. The 800 number goes to who knows where...maybe it's just a dead drop! I had to get really nasty with several people to get my house finished, and meantime the holidays were getting nearer and nearer. When FINALLY finished, the house was covered in dust from the boron infused insulation, and it took four days of hard work to clean up. Their prices are hideously high, over $6000.00 to insulate only the ceiling in the attic with blown in insulation, so one might think you could get a return phone call! We signed up for Terminix service in December 2016, because we have a rodent and insect problem in a house we recently moved into. After being here all day, they were finishing up, when one of the tech's put his foot through the ceiling of my daughter's bedroom. A huge mess of insulation pieces from the attic above her bedroom blew everywhere in her room. We were assured that one of the Tech's was a pro at drywall and would fix this and we "wouldn't even know" it had been damaged. It was a horrible drywall problem, and weeks later we are still waiting for them to send a pro to fix it. I have called so many times and they don't return calls. Horrible, horrible customer service and follow through. I keep being told "i'm so sorry, I'll look into this and call back" but nobody ever does. I haven't paid, so you'd think that would drive them to fix this. I was even told they had someone scheduled to come out and drywall on Tuesday, but no one showed up. Do not use Terminix On top of that, they put bait boxes (unbeknownst to us) in our kitchen cabinets and attracted mice to our kitchen. This has been the worst company to deal with after I sold my home that I have ever seen. I had every intention to use them again once our new house was built but never will I recommend them to anyone. I sold the house and called to cancel my service and they happy did so. A few weeks later a got a bill for service. I called again and they once again said sorry and canceled my service. This has continued now for over 4 months. I continue to get a new bill and they continue to say the have canceled my service. The only thing they are concerned with is trying to sign up the people who bought my house. During my service term with them, they would bill me even though they had not performed services. They would apologize and send someone out as soon as they could. No matter what, go elsewhere. The management could not care less about the quality of service at this location. We contracted Terminix to complete a crawlspace encapsulation at our home on 3/29. They began the work on 4/13, which included just pulling out the old insulation, and have not been back since, its 5/26. They left 1800 square feet of insulation sitting in my backyard since 4/13. They have repeatedly told me that they are coming out the next day to pick it up, yet here it still sits. I have been leaving messages at every level of management for weeks that the city is ticketing me for the insulation and Terminix has done absolutely nothing but make promises. They consistently pass the buck and make excuses on those rare occasions when I can actually get in contact with someone. And then they have the audacity to treat me as if something is wrong with me because I am upset about the situation. I have kids and pets who I have to be concerned about getting into this insulation, and neighbors who are extremely upset about having to look at it. I have literally spent hours on the phone on hold trying to resolve this situation. It seems as if absolutely no one at Terminix cares about anything but taking your money. They may be fine for basic bug services but for anything else, please save yourself a terrible experience. **Update** Its now 6/23/16 and the work that I contracted Terminix to do in March still has not been completed. They finally removed all of the insulation from my back yard and came out once to do more of the work but its still far from done. There has been no pop up issues, my home hasn't needed any extra work, Terminix just has not given a damn about coming to my home to complete the work. Corporate still hasn't done anything despite numerous complaints on my part. The local Terminix manager won't return my calls. Yet, Terminix still doesn't have a problem getting those bills out on time or cashing my checks. As I have been talking to others in the community who have dealt with Terminix everyone says run away. Their customer service is horrible. There is no real way to escalate real problems, the folks on the 800 number just "leave messages" with the regional managers who have never once contacted me or done anything to correct the problem. And they have made no effort to pay the fine for the ticket that I received from the city for the 1,800 square ft of insulation that they left balled up in my back yard, worse yet, they never even apologized. I really mean it when I say that they truly do not care. Second update 6/25/16. So after I posted my update, Terminix Social Media team contacted me supposedly in order to help me resolve my case. You know what their solution was? Nothing. Yep, the same old run around, the "we will be sure to forward your issue to the manager at your local Terminix". This man will not answer his phone, return my message left directly to him, respond to complaints lodged through the 1800 terminix customer service line, nor other messages sent through the completely useless "escalation" specialists. Its like they did not even read my review and just fell back the canned reply that is supposed to give me hope. What part of its been since April do you not understand. I have tried this all before. We contracted to have an encapsulation done on our crawl space (February of 2015). This "worry-free" system has been a constant worry. We make calls to the 844-251-2164 number and get told they will have a supervisor contact us... and we never hear from anyone. We have made over 15 calls about this system since it was installed. We have been told someone will contact us to hear our complaints and concerns but we never get a call back!! I have had to crawl under my home at least once every two months to check on this "worry-free" system, only to find standing water, or the dehumidifier isn't running, etc. We pay nearly $178 a month for this system - if we weren't people of integrity those payments would have stopped by now, but we signed a contract - AND WE ARE STANDING BY THE CONTRACT - WHAT ABOUT YOU!?!?!? Everyone out there - DO NOT have Terminix install an encapsulation for you... Terminix, stick to pest control! read more

Two complaints on this location- 1) we had an appointment scheduled for the first spray, two other people showed up but the person actually doing the treatment never showed up. Found out two days later that they took it upon themselves to reschedule without speaking to my husband or I, to a day that wasn't even feasible for us. I tried to cancel and the lady talked me into rescheduling and figured I'd give them another chance. As the date got closer it just wasn't a good time for us so I called to cancel two more times and both times the 1-800 people are who answered and both times I was told the actual location would call me and they never did. The third time I was told it was already cancelled. So it's clear they do whatever they want to appointments and don't have to tell you. 2) the termite inspector that came up to do an estimate wanted to do a credit check for financing and I told him I was uneasy about it since we're trying to build our scores. He swore that it was just a soft credit check and wouldn't touch my report, just to find out three weeks later that not only did it hit as a hard inquiry but also made my credit score drop quite a few numbers. This company is dishonest and has very poor customer service. A technician literally pulled up in front of my home, created an invoice of "services performed" and put the invoice in my mail box and drove off. My wife was standing at our dinning room window witnessing the entire thing, as she was waiting on a visitor. I tried to deal with this through their 800 customer service number and the first associate indicated that the call was disconnected, according to the second associate I spoke with . I have requested that my service be discontinued and I am yet to get anyone to confirm such. They tell me hat I must pay for the service that was not performed before they will allow me to cancel the service. Incredible ! After reading all of the complaints over the years I can't believe I even allowed myself to get involved with this company again. Shame on me. Worst customer service ever. Not to mention the fact they never showed up for our appointment. No phone call or anything. The customer help number was of no help at all instead everyone just blamed others and not one person we talked to told us the same thing or took any responsibility in what happened. They had no concern for us as customers and no concern for our time. And if you are expecting a call back after the help line says"they emailed the service manager of the branch" don't because they don't call back and according to the help line every time you call them the branch has 48 hours to respond so that time just adds up and you go days without anything. We called them over 10 times with no response. Most everyone we talked to on the help line was rude and I was even hung up on. Not sure which branch we dealt with because you never get to talk to anyone from the branch ever, just people on the help line. They didn't even treat our home properly either and we have struggled to even get them to show back up to do it correctly.
