BC came out to our house to inspect our AC unit. My wife was the only one home, and they told her the condensing fan motor was overheated and offered to replace it. They then "rechecked the system" and found out that the blower was overheated. They offered to replace that one, for additional money ($500). Then they offered (AFTER the replacement of the fan motor) a quote to replace our entire down flow system and AC unit altogether, but NEVER indicated that it was critical to do so, and that the fans woudn't really fix the problem.
We brought in a second person who does HVAC work and he told us that our compressor was completely shot, and that we did not have heat or A/C, (even after the new fan motor). He was astounded that B.C. HVAC did not tell us that we didn't have A/C or heat. He said that B.C. ripped us off for around $400, because the new fan motor didn't really fix anything at all.
Our trust with BC was completely broken, so we had that person do the complete replacement of the system and fix the duct work, all for about $3000 less than BC quoted us!
Even in spite of all this, I may not have written a bad review. But I called Brian, the owner, proposing that he give us a refund or at least buy the fan motor back from us (it had been used for about 3 days before we had the other person replace everything and leave it for us). He was completely rude and had no interest in even discovering why I was dissatisfied with the "service" we received. By "service," I mean "ripoff."
