This company, service and customer service is absolutely awful, the worst, stay away from them. They hooked us into a plan to treat a small home for mice and cost almost $1,000 for a year only and they barely did anything but set mice traps. Then they come an inspect and just walk around and do more of nothing. The 2nd inspection we rescheduled via phone because no one would be home and they came on the appointment date anyway and could not get in. So, they looked around for 5 minutes outside (according to their note) and left. i spoke to an operator physically on the phone to change the appointment and wrote it down, they never showed up and when i called they had no record of the appointment change or my call ! So, i reschedule it again and they tell me that they can't get in touch with the technition and i will hear back in a few days! What is wrong with these people - they don't have a phone, e-mail or text to contact the technition? i am still trying to reschedule this and i called another number the tech left on the sticky note and the supervisor hung up on me. This company is just awful, they take your money and the customer service is the worst. Go with any other company than this one. read more

Stay away, they try to rob your money. I was on their protection plan. Was advised to treat my home to reduce the mouse risk by their sales person, because I have "MANY" cracks in my 2006 built home. The technicians came and find no cracks needed to be sealed. I insist them to reinforce the craw space vent mesh, so they made another trip to do it. Same job from contractor quoted for $250. They charged my credit card without my authorization for $900. I disputed and paid them $300. But they keep sending me the invoice for the remaining $600. Have to go the small claim court to sue them. By the way, I don't have mouse issue in my home, but the sale very certainly told me I have mouse activity. The reason I contact them is I heard mouse squeaking in the kitchen, but finally find out the sound is from the notification of an APP called "talking Tommy". read more

Called and made a complaint they apologized and gave me July 19th between 5-7 again no sure. If you have a termite issue I suggest you look for another company this one is nit reliable. Should've read the reviews prior to scheduling. Made an appointment for them to come to my home from 8am to 10am. No one showed up nor called to explain where they were. I called and the receptionist could not locate the driver to get me an update. I waited another hour, still no show so I called them again. I wish I had read all of the negative reviews on Angie's List before I made the mistake of calling TERMINIX. What a terrible company. They sent someone out to deal with my bedbug problem and I had to leave home for four hours. When I returned the technician was gone, but the bedbugs were still there: alive and moving on my mattress. The next day there were more. I called for a follow-up appointment. The woman who answered was hostile and clearly untrained. She said that although she usually makes follow-up dates she was unable to do so because all of the appointments were filled. Someone would call me within 48 hours, she said. It has now been four days, but they have been incapable of returning my calls, and, of course, noting has been done. The technician who serviced our house on December 13th was very professional and extremely helpful in placing the traps around our house for the mice. He even went out of his way to inspect where the mice were coming from outside of the house- they had chewed a hole through the insulation on the foundation of the house to get into the basement. read more

Terminix came to our home in NJ today for the first time. We called them because we have some carpenter ants on our property, and we also asked for them to spray our property for Mosquitoes, they said that would be extra $ and then they asked us for the size of our property in order for Terminix to give us a price. Well today they came and what you see on their commercials and videos is NOT what you get, the guy that provided the service, sprayed around our deck and the one section of bushes on our yard, not once did he treat the front, nevertheless the perimeter of our property NOT only that... He used some kind of white powder hand puff thing. When I called today letting them know what had happened and that I wanted to cancel any future services with Terminix, Ayesha #800-490-2481 ext#2763 told me that they will come back and redo it but we still need to pay for this and future services because that is part of their contract (which by the way they cannot provide a copy of). I said I will pay for today's services although I did not receive the services they claim to provide for customers. I will pay for today and then I want nothing to do with Terminix since I no longer trust their services, she (Ayesha) said that we cannot cancel the service because that's their policy. I said to Ayesha to email me that policy in writing and she said she couldn't because she didn't have it. She said she will have someone call me back within 24 to 48 ours to talk about their policy, I also asked Ayesha why did they asked for the property size so they can give me a price if they didn't do the perimeter of the property at all, and she said they usually don't treat the whole property only what's close to the home, but the guy didn't even do that. I also asked why the guy today used a hand puffer that spread some white powder for mosquitoes, since you advertise on your commercials spray and pesticide fog equipment to treat mosquitoes, she said that everyone uses different things.... They never showed... they said the technician called in sick.... Why didn't they call me and let me know, instead I sat at home waiting for service. If I could give no stars, I would. This is the worst pest company I have ever dealt with. We had a window for 11-1 and no one showed up or bothered to tell us no one was coming. When we called the customer service line, they told us they couldn't get in touch with the tech and neither could the regional manager. Would not give me the managers number or the techs to figure out where he was. I was told numerous times I would be contacted by the manager, never got a call. These people just give you the run around and pretend to be helpful when really they just care about keeping you on hold for 15 minutes at a time. These people are the worst, have no way of contacting technicians, and have no decency to let you know of their whereabouts so you don't waste an entire day waiting around. I had a one-year contract with Terminix, which was launched on June 22, 2016. The contract was completed six months ago. I paid for twelve months of service in full, but Terminex continues to take money from my credit card after the service is over. I called them and asked them to stop taking money from my credit for the service that I did not ask and I did not receive. I asked to return the money, but they refused to send money back. I was trying to cancel my service for months but they ignored my emails and sent a tech who wanted to come in during the covid-19 lockdown, I told him no one is coming into my house, he didn't even have a mask on. He said he is spraying outside, I told him I didn't want this done, sure enough I got billed. I wrote the company several times before they finally sent me a confirmation that it was canceled,yet I got billed for a service that remains a mystery to me. i contracted terminix for insulation in 2019, they came they spent just about 2 hours and told me that the job was completed; fast forward to today i had to buy a new a/c it turns out that terminix did not insulate my entire attic they only did the middle and it was way below industry standard, my a/c contractor had to re-insulate my entire attic so he can get it up to industry standards. i do not recommend anyone using terminix for insulation they need to stick to pest control read more

I canceled service contract with Terminix due to unreliability. We had our initial treatment 5/6/14. Our problem where house centipedes and sugar ants. I contacted Terminix and set up a repeat treatment appointment. Our appointment was scheduled for Friday 6/6/14 between 5pm-7pm, we did not receive a phone call informing us that technician was not coming, he just simply did not show up. I contacted Terminix at 8pm that night. Appointment was rescheduled for Wednesday 6/11/14 between 9:30am-11:30am. My wife stayed home all day waiting for a technician that once again never arrived. I contacted Terminix, at that point I just wanted to cancel service, however customer service representative talked me into staying with the company. Representative promised that I would receive a call on Thursday 6/12 from the branch manager, who will set up the time for service and will make sure that manager himself will be available to come and either supervise or conduct the whole treatment. I was sold, and decided not to cancel. Thursday came, and went. I decided to give it one more day and waited all day Friday. Friday evening I contacted Terminix and canceled my contract. Now I know that Terminix offers Money Back Guarantee if I am not satisfied, I am not satisfied. Terminix failed to provide services to me as promised as evidenced by two no shows and a manager that failed to contact me. HORRIBLE!!!!! I had them come out to give me an estimate for squirrel removal last Friday. Anxious to have the squirrels removed & due to might tight work schedule, I set up an appointment for this Friday between 10:00-1200. I received a phone call last Saturday morning at 8:00am saying someone will be here that day! Fast forward to today (the following Friday). I never received a phone call during the week confirming my appointment for today so something told me to reach out to them to confirm. Sure enough, when I contacted them, instead of a 10:00-12:00 window, they had me in from 2:00-6:00 (which I have to be in work at that time!). Insistent on the time frame I had set up because of my work schedule, I tried speaking with "managers" (of which I was speaking to were in Arizona) told me the was "nothing they can do" except reschedule. Needless to say, I cancelled my appointment with them went with another (more reliable) company. Sure enough, soon as I cancelled, Anthony (a representative actually from New Jersey) called me & magically would have been able to get someone to my house in the original time frame...too little, too late! If you have an emergency & require prompt service, then Terminix IS NOT the company you want to deal with. Consider yourself warned! I have been a customer for just short 1 yr. I had terminex doing automatic bug control at my house, only to find that I have paid for automatic bug control, but nothing was actually being done. Yesterday, while my husband was in the house for lunch and the dogs were outside a terminex treatment was supposed to have been done. I know it was not done because no one went in the back yard and there was no dust or liquid anywhere. I am very disapponted to see a reputable business like this do such an irreputable thing. I have not been able to speak to any upper management because they fail to call me back, however, I was told they would not charge me for this visit. Wow, what a deal. After scheduling an appointment directly with the service manager of this location, no one showed. When I called to see what had happened I was told my appointment had been rescheduled to 6am the following day without my knowledge. I had too take off work again and once 6am passed, I called and was told by another call center employee that no one comes out on Sundays. Rescheduled one last time, and again no show. I heard completely different things from the 5 or 6 people I talked to. There is no direct number to call that does not go straight to the call center. Extremely unprofessional, inconvinenent, and all around a very stressful and frustrating company to work with. I would suggest using local businesses (which I ended up doing, saving time money and sanity) . If I couldn't even successfully schedule a free estimate, I could only image the frustration if I needed them to come out during the warranty time after a treatment, let alone scheduling the treatment. read more

I wish I could give 0 Starts. Terminix is probably one of the worst companies out there. I had scheduled a mosquito treatment on 04/17/2019, and without notifying me, the client, they decided to cancel the session and book it for 05/02/2019. I called in to ask where the representative was and they told me that it was rescheduled. Why? well they don't know why either. I asked to speak to a manager, but the manager was unavailable but I was promised that the manager will call me in 24 hours. Heard nothing back. Waited again on 05/02, and noone showed up. I called them again today, and guess what?!?! they decided to reschedule me once again for 5/07. They had no respect for my time. They did not call me to reschedule and ask if that time worked for me. Again I asked to speak to the manager, but I still haven't been able to. I had to take off twice and no one had enough decency to call me to let me know they were canceling. There are no notes in the system or reasoning of why I was canceled. WORST COMPANY EVER. The emails they send you to remind you of a session, should be sent to the company instead so they can ACTUALLY DO THEIR JOB. I made a big mistake and used TERMINIX Insulation Services. I called 3 insulation services to get prices for replacing the insulation in my attic. Atticare came out and gave me a good price and explained in detail what they would do. Terminix came out and said they would match Atticare Service and Price so I used Terminix because I use them for my extermination services and have been satisfied. BIG MISTAKE!! I explained to the Terminix representative Andre that Atticare would cover my carpet, remove the old insulation, vacuum the attic with high powered vacuum down to the bare wood, rodent proof my attic, repair any loose duct work and blow in the new insulation. Terminix came and didn't cover anything, went in and out of my attic over rodent waste and urine onto my carpet. They removed my old insulation, used a shop vac and spot vacuumed the rodent droppings. They used the same shop vac to vacuum my carpet after they were done. Isn't that a health violation??? Then they blew the new insulation without securing loose duct work so I have insulation falling out of my duct work and can't use my air conditioner during the hottest week of the season. I called to complain and no one has called me back!! I called the 800 number and they said they left the office a message. I called Andre and he was useless. Of course I prepaid them with my credit card. UGH! I'm not sure if they are Scammers or just that Inept. Either way it is not good!! Forced to put a 1 star rating. The rating should actually negative 10. Local office wastes your time. They schedule appointments with no shows. National terminix is no help either. Emails are nonresponsive or they will promise to have the local manager follow up, which just creates a circle of either no phone calls or no shows to appointments. How is this justified with a paid contract and with hard working customers losing $ from taking off from work on several days within a two week span, all to deal with bug damage that is not being cared for by Terminix. I live in Morris County NJ, I contracted Terminix to rid my house of ants and other pests, they have a quarterly program. They came the first time but could not spray outside because of the rain, 2 weeks later I made an appointment for them to come and finish and they said they would be there on Monday between 1 and 5. I waited and they never showed, I called and they could not locate the Tech, the Tech called me at 8 o'clock saying he would be there the next day between 2 and 5, again waited all afternoon but he didn't show or call. This is not the way to run a business. I finally called the company and cancelled my contract, they still charged me for the first visit that they never completed. Never again with them! read more

This is a review of Terminix overall. We have used them for termite control for a few years. No complaint there, except they are expensive. A few months ago we had them install insulation in our attic. The work was fine. But again, expensive. But we signed up for it. However, they were not clear on how we would be billed. After a few weeks I went on to our account on Terminix.com to look at our balance. It showed the bill and indicated it was paid. I hand't paid anything so I was confused. While I was figuring it out I received a bill from some random billing company in Georgia stating that we were late on out first payment that they had assessed a late fee. I couldn't pay the bill on line. I could only send a check. Seemed very shady to me. So we ended up paying in full so we would;t have to deal with this every month. Fast forward to now. We had a mouse in the house so Termnix came out and gave us their exclusion treatment of rodents and insects. Well, they put a couple $5 old style mouse traps in the attic and put some stuff outside. We still see insects inside so I don't know what good that did. For this they charged us $973.70! That isn't the worst of it. I paid $500 towards the bill on 6/14/15. I just received the bill and it shows a payment of $499.90 (what happened to the .10?) showing a balance of $473.80. HOWEVER, when I checked my bank account $826.25 was debited from my account! And I couldn't find a credit of $326.25 anywhere. So I called customer service and was transferred to billing. I spoke with Cinest on 7/2/15. She proceeded to tell me that I have termite service and the amount was applied to that because I didn't indicate where to apply the money. Now, I paid the $326.25 annual bill on 3/4/15. So the balance on that bill was 0. The only outstanding balance was for the exclusion service. Apparently Terminix applied that extra money to NEXT year's bill without my permission and took $326.25 from me without my authorization. And guess what? Cinest never even offered an apology. All she said was that she was trying to explain where my money was applied but all I cared about was the amount! She said it was the processing center's fault or I made a mistake when I made the payment!! All she could offer was that she could tell the processing center to transfer the amount to my outstanding balance. I told her to do that and that I will not pay this bill until the credit was given. And rest assured we will NEVER use Terminix for anything ever again and I urge other's to take these reviews seriously because they are true. read more

I was covered by Terminix and this location has been lying to me for almost 1 year and promising to fix termite damage that was covered by their agreement. I have a long string of emails going over 9 months were they promised to pay for or fix damage. They gave me a claim # and promised from weeks to months that they would pay this claim. I was first in touch with the regional manager Jonathan King, then a Mr. Khan. They both promised me this would be remedied ASAP. Now their emails are kicking back un-deliverable. For a nationwide company they eagerly take your money for a contract that they do not live up to. The people who inspected the house are nice and friendly, but their claim processing is non-existent and in this cause outright FRAUD. The long line of emails I will also share with BBB and anyone wanting to know the details. I also now have an attorney looking into options to force them to meet their contractual obligations. Whats the point of paying for a service which doesnt live up to their claims. All the stakes they planted were eaten and the bugs got into the house... now they make empty promises instead of taking care of the damage. Now my small claim of $900 will balloon to much more with legal costs. Very poor service and support. I do not recommend Terminix. They will not cover any Termite damage, even if it says so in their contract, and only spray after you get infested. Don't walk away from this company...RUN! read more

Called on 6/4 to schedule an appt. Was given an appt the following day, 6/5 with a 1pm-5pm window and was quoted $169 + tax (Total $180.83). I had arranged for a family member to be there for me as I would be at work from 7a-8p. I called at 11:30 on 6/5 to request that they call me 30min prior to arriving to allow my family member sufficient time to meet the technician at my house. The lady I spoke to said that wouldn't be a problem and confirmed she had the correct phone number. Hours passed and no phone call. Now after 5pm, my mother called Terminix to check on the status only to be told that the appt was for the following day between 10-12. I immediately called and spoke with a woman who confirmed that she did see I had an appt scheduled on 6/5, but that it wasn't an "actual" appt. She told me when I was given that appt on 6/4, there weren't any open time spots for 6/5, so they just added me on. Since they "weren't able to get to me by 5" they just moved my appt to the following day between 10-12. At NO POINT was I ever told that I didn't have an "actual" appt. I would never have scheduled it and allowed my mom to waste 5 hrs of her day for nothing! The woman was extremely apologetic and said that never should have happened. Not only did they not show up, they didn't have the courtesy to even call me to inform me that they couldn't make it. Instead, they just flat out ignored the appt and took it upon themselves to schedule it for another day/time that they didn't even know if I'd be available for. I was told I would be given a $25 credit towards the service for my inconvenience. Now making the price, $144 + tax = $154.08. I arranged to have someone else meet the technician the following day. Technician came and then emailed me the receipt which showed a total of $219 - $25 credit = $209 (including tax) which was yet again incorrect. I called once again, tell the gentleman the story from the beginning, and that I should have only been charged the $154.08. He said he would fix it in the system and my cc would only be charged that amount. I now just received an alert on my phone from my cc. Not only was my cc not charged $154.08, it was charged $234.06!!!!!!! They charged me the full price of $219 plus tax!!!! I immediately call again and the woman stated that since the request for the price of $169 - $25 credit was just made yesterday, that it hadn't gone through yet. It WASN'T A REQUEST!! The initial price of $169 was b/c they had a promotion running which was $50 off pest control (original price $219). Yet again I was told that she could only put into the system that it be corrected. I demanded that I speak w/ a supervisor/manager (who I was told wasn't available) and that if this is not corrected w/in 2 business days, I will be contacting my cc company and contesting the entire charge. I have NEVER dealt w/ such an incompetent and unprofessional company in my life!! I will NEVER use or recommend this company again. read more
