Most acts are good, only things they need to improve is to offer better quality wine vs cheapest box wines and bar tenders can be more attentive...they always seem to be off to the side chatting with friends or looking at thier phones vs keeping an eye on the bar. read more

It's been a couple of years because I've refused to go back. Paid 25 bucks a head to get in. During election time the band member made a comment anti Trump. Needless to say we weren't there to listen to political crap on either side. We decided to leave and asked for out money back. The girl at the entrance said she would take our name and number. No call, and no money back. Recently they tried to say I was a lier on another site, that I did get my money back. Needless to say I disputed And said it wasn't so. I'm so disappointed about this place, it's a great venue but management it to say it best dishonest. I'm so disappointed in them and how they treat their customers that I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. Update: it's 4/27/18 and still no refund... this place does not care about their customers. Except if they are under age and they can sell them a beer. I wasn't going bring this up, but I did see one of the girls sell their friend a beer. And I did mention to her that she should start checking IDs. I've got no respect for them and their lies. It's now Aug 14th, 2018 and still no refund. read more

Terra Fermata is a great addition to Stuart. My parents mentioned that there was a new outdoor bar to try when I came down to visit, and I was expecting something more along the lines of every other bar in the town (generic, bad beer selections, mediocre music, etc). Color me surprised! Terra Fermata resides on nondescript back street, but walking through the gate transports you to a fun tropical vacation setting. There are tons of little seating areas, each of which feels intimate and welcoming. Each night there's a different type of live music played each other (Monday is jazz night, etc). Did I mention the beer selection? It's pretty great. I hail from the land of microbrews, so it's always a bit of a shock to visit other places and realize my only choices are Budweiser and Corona. This bar had Rogue beer! And selections from Colorado! And other selections from the local Tequesta Brewing Company! Get a snack beforehand, because currently, there's no food. However, the owner is working on licensing food carts for the place. There's no cover charge, and the drink prices reflect that a bit. But hey, who cares? It's a good time, the service is always super nice, and there's a friendly cat that wanders around the place on slower evenings. Dogs are also welcome! So come, sit back, listen to some local tunes, and sip a tasty beer! read more

Terra Fermata is a great tiki bar between the railroad tracks and Federal HIghway, just off of the newly "improved" Colorado Street. You can order food from Ellie's Deli next door or any local place through the local delivery service. The hours have changed since it first opened. Monday through Saturday live music goes until 10pm (per noise ordinance), but the bar stays open till at least 11 or 12, depending on demand. On Sundays, the music stops at 6 and the bar stays open until 7 pm. I've heard some really hot bands here. There is an open mic on Tuesday nights with Cody Rutland (also plays with the Ohana Band). As with any open mic, it can be hit or miss, but always fun. There are at least 15 beers/ales on draft as well as bottles of the questionably popular Bud/Bud Lite, Miller/Miller Lite, Ultra, Corona/Corona Light, etc. There are some lovely wines, too. The prices are about the same as any local independent bar. On really busy nights, bring cash and use the cash-only bar for quicker service. Most of the staff is very friendly and wonderful and possess a sense of humor about life. The owner is generous. Beware the tall, thin, high-voiced, two-faced bartender. He's two-faced, your friend as long as the tips keep coming. Sundays are a favorite time for hanging out with friends! read more

Terra Fermata is an interesting place to see a band. They have an eclectic mix of comfortable furniture outside facing the stage. Good variety of draft beers. They host bands covering a variety of music styles. The venue does not have food, but a vendor parks her trailer at the front gate and sells Mexican food. They host my favorite local group every Tuesday evening, the Nouveaux Honkies. It has a bit of the feel of seeing a band in a friend's back yard. Fun spot. read more

Coolest bar I have been to in Stuart. I came up for a weekend visit to the area, and was recommended by a few sources to check out Terra Fermata. The setting is a large garden area with all types of furniture, little old statues, a giant Jenga board, lots of little nooks, all facing a stage, two bars, and an old house that houses the bathrooms. The seating areas are quiet enough for this place to be romantic, but the stage and dancing area are large enough to rage. The bars have a wide selection of beers and wines, impressive, unusual choices. The band covered all the great classic rock bar songs, people of all ages were dancing together and the staff was so friendly. If you are hungry, there is a taco truck parked out front! I hate to do this, but I have to deduct a star for not serving liquor and for closing at 10 pm (I guess the neighbors complained!) read more

We loved this bar and came here two days in a row while on vacation from CO. This place takes the beer garden concept to a whole new level - it's more like the garden of eden! It's an outdoor bar with an amazing atmosphere - lots of nature and a laid back vibe. There are many unique places to sit, from rocking chairs and tiki hut tables to hammocks. It's lit up at night with many string lights. The same bartender on both visits was friendly and helpful with offering us tasters. Great beer selection. I am a local in Stuart Florida. My husband and I went to Terra Fermata on Sunday night. I was really excited about coming here. When I walked in I loved the vibe and the way the place looks! We got to the bar and my husband asked if they had a certain type of beer. He had been there before. We didn't understand what the bartender said so when he came back over to us, he asked again and the bartender snapped back, "I'm telling you all I have is what is on the list!" If they didn't the beer, he would have simply tried something else. I have been a bartender and server for years. I would have never spoke to a customer like this. We simply left and went to another bar. We have a 1 year old so We don't get to go out much. We want to spend our time and money at a place that we felt welcome. Not being from this area, I have been looking for a great place to see live music since I moved here a few months ago. I think I've finally found the spot! There are so many great things that I could say about Terra Fermata. The atmosphere is just perfect, there is a great beer selection and I've seen nothing but excellent bands when I've gone. I love craft beer, so I was happy with the drink selection (beer and wine), but if you're looking for liquor, you might be disappointed. I do believe they also have a food menu, but I haven't tried it. My ONLY complaint about the bar is that they don't list ABV or even Brewery names on their beer list, so you really don't know what your'e ordering and it's usually too noisy/ crowded a night to ask any questions. There is a fabulous eclectic garden of seating, as well as room to stand near the stage and an area that doubles as a dance floor. The bar is easy to get to and well staffed so you don't usually have to wait long for a drink. Since it's all outdoors, they are dog-friendly. You'll see a good mix of people, all ages and walks of life here, too. This is a super fun place and my new favorite hangout! read more

Cool place to lounge outside and listen to some tunes, caught a local band I think that were just ok. Not sure they justified a cover charge at the door, and on top of that, this place is Beer only, no Booze! That's a big strike for me, not a beer drinker, but my mistake for not inquiring first, so I chose not to disputed the cover charge. I visited Terra Fermata on a couple of Mondays (open mic night) in April. I had a great experience. It's an all-outdoor venue with a bar, and a taco truck just outside the gate. Terrific sound system, a wide range or performers, and mellow crowd. I really enjoyed both nights and will definitely return when I'm back in the area. read more

This is an excellent Tiki Bar in Stuart. I my opinion, it is the coolest venue in the area. The landscaping and decor is hip and tropical. The owner also owns Earthtones downtown, so the decor is similar to the decor sold in the shop. The drinks are reasonably priced, for a bar, and they have good live music. Drawbacks: Parking is a bit of a hassle, as they only have about 6 spaces, but there is parking in the immediate area. They close far too early, usually around 10pm. Even when they are open until midnight on the weekends, the band stops playing at 10 and music is off at 11. They are in a residential area, so that is a major drawback. This is a great place to start off the night and then head somewhere else when they shut it down. read more

Definitely not the best bar in town as some have said. It does draw a bit of an older crowd (like most tiki bars), but could be your thing. Don't love the selection of beer. I mean, Bud/Miller/Coors.. Give me a break. My bartender had to go way in the back to even find even a regular craft beer. However, I did have a fun time here, so I gave it 4 stars. Great ambience! Fun relaxing and easy. My friend and I enjoyed the live music while also having good conversation in one of the many cozy and unique seating areas they have created. Great for a date or large groups. I would give it 5 stars but I wasn't a big fan of the bartender, he crossed the line between being funny and then just plain rude. He seemed annoyed that our order took so long but he was the one that kept insisting we must make foreign accents if we wanted to order..... Funny at first but then just annoying. read more

Five stars are always hard to give out but this music venue came real close. Great outdoor setting. Numerous beers, a really fine band--The Nouveaux Honkies--and a house sound man who knows how to make a band sound good without chasing people out with volume. Could hear female voices having a good time at the bar and all the bar signs were on tonight so made the mistake of opening the gate. Did not know gate closed meant go away! Which is what we got with attitude from the female staff. So us and the other half dozen people who were approaching realized. Even though it was raining a few hours ago I guess that means closed for the day. Thank goodness the security guard was helpful and very courteous in telling us who was open in the area. He was the only saving grace otherwise I wouldn't come back. I would love to tell you about the music/food experience I heard it made up for the staff. I've been attending events and supporting Terra for years now. And for the record, this is my first time ever posting a review on Yelp. Last night, while I was attending an event on this week celebrating their 9th anniversary I was served by a bartender that seemed to be suffering from severe mood swings; or just has absolutely no concept on how to attract loyal customers. As a hiring manager myself, this hire would be a big mistake were I to hire him. After greeting me very kindly to begin the night and purchasing drinks throughout the night; his true colors showed when I went to tab out. He completely ignored me after clearly knowing I was patiently waiting my turn to be served, well actually at that point to cash out. I've been in countless bars and work in customer service so I know for sure he knew how incredibly rude he was acting towards me. Throughout the years the other bartenders have been more than nice, but last night I lost a lot of respect for their staff as he appeared to be "someone important"; and left the place feeling very slighted and ignored by him...which is why I left a small tip when I usually leave a large tip. The man had a long, lengthy beard that was salt and pepper colored w a Grateful Dead shirt. I will certainly avoid him next time I visit the place and if I get treated that way again I'll let every local I know how rude and unprofessional he is. read more

We came here to see our favorite band on New Years Day. Cool little spot, we ubered over from an area campground so can't comment on parking. They had a food truck parked out front all night which is perfect since the venue doesn't have food. They have a few beers on tap, wine, drinks, merch, and lots of fun little seating areas and a good sized area in front of the stage for dancytime. The bartenders were really nice and very efficient (the place was packed) and the sound was crisp and clear. Great spot to see a show! read more

If I had the option for half stars this would be 3 1/2. I think there is great potential here. The eclectic mix of decor, wonderful seating areas, strategically placed bars for your drinking convenience are all pluses in my book. The potential for this place is enormous. We went on the third anniversary lured by the promise of three different live performers and great fun. Eh... Not so much. Now again, I take into account that the country/bluegrass is not really to my tastes so that's one of the reasons for my reaction, but I hope that other types of music are offered besides that. Food availability.... Minimal. I think this is a lost opportunity for this place. Rope off or set aside an area where you can offer dining (no dogs allowed) and watch the Bucks roll in. Lastly, parking... We lucked out and found something relatively quick but they really need to look at making arrangements with other businesses that would otherwise be closed and allow usage of their parking lots. Overall, it's a great place to just hang out with friends and drink and talk and listen to music. I'd love to see what else this place can do! I'll be back! read more
