Terra's Cafe was really good. I got the chocolate Nutella croissant -- it says Nutella, but honestly it tasted more like a soft chocolate filling. Still super good though, flaky and fresh. I also got a hot chocolate mocha and I loved how strong the coffee flavor was. Everything together was around $15, which honestly isn't bad for the quality. The interior is really pretty and cozy, and they also have a little table outside so you can enjoy the Old Sacramento vibe while you eat. Definitely worth trying if you're in the area. read more

We stopped in for a coffee while in Old Sac. I've had this spot on my list to try and it's a small but very cute cafe. Since it's Old Sac it does get busy during peak hours but at 9am on a Saturday it was calm and there was no line. The person who greeted us was friendly and we made some small talk about events happening in the area. I ordered the hot 16oz Coconut Macchiato ($7.95) and the flavors were well balanced- you could taste the coconut, but it wasn't too sweet. It was a great way to start the morning and I took the coffee to go, but there are tables inside as well as outside to stay and enjoy food/drinks. read more

I've always wanted to visit this cafe in old sac and had the chance to do that today! The service was friendly, quick and superb! It was around 45 mins til closing so I get that they're tidying as they serve customers and were rushing. They were about to close the kitchen, but they were able to put in my request for a chicken chipotle burrito (super kind of them even though I was fine without!) The inside of the place looked modern and simplistic. I liked the sleek and clean look! It also looked cozy and feels like a good spot to chill with 2-3 friends or do some work. I got the strawberry matcha latte, mocha frappe, and chicken chipotle burrito. - 5/5 strawberry matcha latte: It tasted good! It wasn't watery, and has a nice matcha flavor and consistency. I do wish for a bit more strawberry puree because it was a lot of matcha but not much strawberry. I will definitely get this again. - 5/5 mocha frappe: Also another good drink! I liked the mocha flavor. It wasn't overpowering, but also not light. Do drink it quick or else it melts instantly! - 3/5 chicken chipotle burrito: I love how big and cheesy the burrito is! It's not my personal favorite because the burrito ingredients seemed pre-mixed and wet on the inside with the sauce, cheese, and beans. I did see the description of what's in the burrito before ordering, but comparing my picture to theirs on their website, their rice and beans were dry while mine looked gloopy. I was staying at a hotel near by and needed to stop somewhere for coffee and a quick bite. After doing my yelp research, Terra Forte was where I opted to go. I was torn between their three specialty drinks--marzipan latte, tiramisu latte, and coconut macchiato. I ended up going with the marzipan because I've never had one before and it's what the girl working recommended. I got it hot. It was spot on and so yummy. Tasted just like the candy but in drink form. I'm not sure how much espresso was actually in there but it is delicious. To eat I got the turkey avocado sandwich. The bread is soft and yummy, the cheese pairs nicely and it's just overall a good sandwich. Good staff, clean cafe, it was quite empty when I stopped by and quick service. After the train ride and visiting the museums a hangout in Old Sac is a must. There are plenty of things to see and food to try and thankfully a new coffee spot to grab much needed caffeine! I walked in and was warmly greeted by the barista in a very clean and quaint cafe. I went simple and ordered a black coffee and iced latte. My theory is if the basic coffee is good, then their other fancy drinks are probably a good bet. I wasn't disappointed! Both coffee and latte were delicious. Absolute worst customer service, drinks weren't up to per too much sugar. The lady cashier was rude when I requested our drinks to be remade.She acts like she is going to the back to speak to someone, says ok to remaking our drinks then makes us wait and comes back to state "sorry you have to purchase another drink boss says we can't remake your order" Only her and another cashier were present by the way, so I am not sure who this boss she spoke to was. After spending $25 dollars for 2 lattes and a croissant ya hell no. I do not recommend this coffee shop try another place that values their customers. I Ordered the carnitas avocado sandwich and my partner ordered the chipotle turkey sandwich and we got creamy cilantro sauce on the side which together was DELICIOUS! I ordered the cinnamon chai latte and added mazapán pieces and he ordered the butter pecan chai latte. The customer service was so friendly and welcoming. Nice location right in Old Sac! It's oddly close to the other coffee shop though. We went early in the morning so we didn't have to pay for parking. Otherwise this probably wouldn't be a place I'd frequent often, due to having to pay for parking. I was excited to see that they have specialty drinks. And then the price tag shocked me! When she rang up our first drink and I saw the total, I thought she had accidentally added two of them. Specialty drinks shouldn't mean ridiculous prices! I don't mind spending on food and drink, but it has to actually taste good and be worth it. And sadly this wasn't it. I picked the $10.99 Cookie Ice Cream Iced Coffee, and it was pretty, but basically tasted like milk with Oreos soaked in it. No coffee flavor whatsoever, and I'm not sure if there even was coffee honestly. My husband picked the iced TFC Mocha Lava ($9.99) which also looked like a dessert when it came out - this one was equally sweet but didn't taste as good as the cookie one. At least the cookie one was decent tasting, it just wasn't a coffee drink. We added in a muffin for the kids and after all that we basically spent the same as we would've getting a cheap breakfast somewhere. Crazy! Service was ok. They weren't as friendly and welcoming as I would hope for a brand new business. We walked in and she immediately asked what we would like to order. As a new business you have to assume that everyone is going to be a first time customer. At least ask if we have any questions or even provide suggestions on best sellers. Overall I'm always happy to try a new coffee place but this was disappointing. I understand their lease must be expensive due to the location but that shouldn't mean the drink price will skyrocket like that. I still wish them success but hope that they will take feedback from the customer's visits and adjust. read more

The man behind the counter who served me said they just opened on Saturday. The inside is quaint; there are several tables, with room enough for a couple small parties and groups. Their menu is simple, with coffee, tea, and a few other refreshments like cookies and muffins. They also offer their own coffee beans to-go! They have a great looking pastry selection but the execution wasn't there. I got a vanilla latte which had a funky taste to it. I couldn't figure out what it was but was almost acidic and burnt. My husband got the caramel macchiato and if I thought mine was bad his was terrible! I couldn't down the sip I took. The concha was like a dense bread roll with sugar. Last week as we were driving by and noticed Terra Forte Coffee LLC had taken over the place where Subway Sandwiches was. It looked very promising. A great idea to bring a coffee and tea establishment to Old Sacramento. The ambience of the store is black and gold. Not to noticeable as you drive by. The entrance is place in an area that makes you curve and then step in. Many customers come in and stand two feet in the entrance way. Of course if a group tries to come in it's like a shuffling game with a few deciding to leave after entering. The overall appearance is clean. Not much to prompt you to stay and relax. Upon arrive the gentleman taking the orders, Francisco, was engaging in a conversation with two individuals while his prior customer was outside with his kids. We were quick to order because the menu is very simple. (Included pictures) The one thing about the service is if the tea is already made and all you have to do is pour them into plastic cups and hand then out that should be the first you do. The gentleman ahead of us had 4 crafted drinks that weren't even started upon our arrive. We waited around until the gentleman came back in wondering where his drinks were. The drinks looks interesting as Francisco was preparing them. It took awhile in the process. As you can see he offers a few pastries which seems delicious.
