Pretty much doggo-ville around these parts. :p Lots of dog walkers on the street right out front and this coffee shop embraces it, allowing dogs to chill here and even staff supplies a communal water bowl. Smooth drinks here! The mocha was luscious and the honeycomb cold brew (summer seasonal) is a crowd pleaser as it had a good balance of sweetness (not overly sweet at all!) and milkiness. Brekkie sandwich was quite delish as well with the thick cut bacon and the pillow-soft bun; def one of my fave breakfast sandwiches that I've had at a coffee shop in the area. Friendly staff with chill vibes here to match (does attract the younger crowd but not really much Gen Z snobbery that I've experienced elsewhere). Metered street parking and didn't have much trouble finding a spot on a Sunday morning. read more

Came here because my friend and I wanted brunch for lunch and a fun drink and Camp Cove delivered!!! My friend got a breakfast burrito with bacon and that thick cut bacon was HEARTY!! She said her hash brown was soggy, so if that bothers you, maybe ask for it on the side. I had the three eggs (which was HUGE) on sourdough and I added avocado. I have never had a more perfect scramble at a restaurant. The avo serving was small- for $3, I wish I skipped it (or just added bacon like my friend), but overall, a very delightful plate. I also got the iced blueberry matcha. I do wish they had their early grey matcha but it was not on the in-store menu/sold out. Will definitely have to come back to try it! read more

I was really excited to try this place based on all the great reviews and recommendations. I'd heard the breakfast burrito was amazing and was also looking forward to trying their coffee. The coffee was good, but nothing that blew me away, and I thought the drink prices were pretty reasonable for the area. The food, unfortunately, was a different story. The breakfast prices are crazy expensive. After tax, nearly $20 for a breakfast burrito feels like highway robbery. I figured, okay, it must be worth it if it's that expensive... but unfortunately, I didn't think it was. The bacon was extremely thick, fatty, and chewy. I ended up pulling all of it out of the burrito because the texture was so off-putting. The cheese also seemed like white American and had a strange taste that I wasn't a fan of. I might come back for the coffee, but unfortunately, I won't be ordering the food again. Listen, I already loved Camp Cove for coffee and breakfast but I FINALLY stopped in for lunch and tried their Cove Burger. I have seen others post about the burger and every time they share photos on social media I would tell myself I need to try it. Well, the day finally came, I stopped in for lunch with my dog and ordered their honeycomb cold brew and the Cove Burger with fries and then grabbed one of the small tables outside. This restaurant truly maximizes it's space with seating inside and a couple tables outside. It gets great natural lighting and the front counter is prominent when you first walk in making the whole flow of the place very thoughtful and smooth. The team is so friendly, from the owner Jon to the amazing team working in the kitchen and on drinks. They're all so nice to interact with and always have great suggestions and service. My normal order here is the flat white and I've been working my way through their menu. Everything is delicious, high quality and fresh. If you get a chance to try their fresh baked cookies- do it! The Anzac biscuit with a cup of coffee is a perfect pair! All the breakfast items are amazing and the bacon is THICK. Back to my latest visit: Jon brought out my burger and cold brew and it was BEAUTIFUL (photos included for proof). The patty was flavorful, the bun was unbelievably fluffy and soft, and it had the perfect ratio of cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles and onion. The special sauce was the perfect touch- I didn't need any extra sauce with it, it was perfect as is. The fries are an optional add on and I decided to go for it so I could share some with my dog, and there was a very generous portion of crinkle cut fries. They were perfectly seasoned and cooked. The honeycomb cold brew was DELICIOUS. I typically get the flat white, but like to explore their specialty drinks. They're known for having amazing drink offerings. I've been told their matcha is top tier (though I'm not personally a fan of matcha) but their coffee always hits for me. They allow squatters even during lunch hour with a small drink and hours-long computer sessions hogging tables displacing people spending money. It added so much flavor, and I already know I'll be coming back just for that toast. I also ordered a vanilla latte, and the espresso shot was pulled perfectly. It was such a cute little shop, and the waitress was being so nice and patient with an I housed person who wouldn't accept the fact that this place did not accept cash only card. Came here on a Sunday and the place was super busy but we were lucky enough to score a table. I noticed a lot of people getting their items To Go. The line was often out the door. First, the coffee...It was VERY good. Had the Iced latte and you can truly taste the coffee. My partner said her Iced Macha Latte was one of the best matcha lattes she has ever had. My Brekke Sandwich was perfect..the oozing egg was messy but I wouldn't trade it for any other type of egg. The bun was soft and fresh. The bacon was perfectly seasoned. My partner had the veggie burrito. It was very good but a tad bit salty. Luckily the sauce on the side help cut the salt a bit. Very cute place, just a tad bit small. This was a lucky fine, I had noticed this coffee shop previously. It's dropping a friend off that lives nearby and I looked over and saw their menu. I would say their food is a little bit on the pricey side for me. So I can't say I come back for food, but I would return for drinks. I do love the summer menu that they have out right now, I chose to go with their blueberry matcha, which had real blueberries and a little bit of lemon zest in it and the matcha Float On top. Underwhelmed with my visit after hearing about the raving responses to Camp Cove. I came with friends, we were not greeted and waited 10 minutes before we were helped at the register. They were in a rush, trying to catch up and push out as many food and drink orders as they could before taking new orders, understandably. Store has very limited seating especially if you're wanting to dine-in. About three tables, bar seating facing the windows, and two benches along the wall facing the pickup counter, as well as a table or two outside. We waited about 20 minutes for drinks and over 30 minutes for our food. I tried the Tim Tam Latte upon recommendation from the barista. I was intrigued because it's inspired by the Australian cookie, however, it had a gritty texture and weird aftertaste. I haven't had a Tim Tam to know if it resembles the taste or not- However, I would not get this drink again. The coffee was very strong and rich flavor, but I was disappointed with the portion. I finished my drink almost instantly after a few sips because it was filled with mostly ice (See photo)!! The Banana bread was good, thick slice and warmed to order, sprinkled with powdered sugar, but nothing special. The Cove burger was mediocre, patty thin/smaller than expected, and on the drier side. Camp Cove is officially one of my favorite coffee spots in Sacramento. Every drink I've tried has been incredibly smooth and creamy. My go-to is their matcha latte with half the miso caramel syrup and the Tim Tam one is also amazing. I'm not even a huge chai person, but somehow their chai latte won me over too. Their baked goods deserve a shoutout as well. I've tried the banana bread, which comes perfectly toasted, and the chocolate chip cookies, both hit that ideal balance of savory and sweet. We tried to meet up with some friends at a nearby restaurant, but they were unexpectedly closed without any warning on the storefront or social media. Scrambling to find an alternative, we found Camp Cove, which was on our friend's list to try. Upon peeking inside of Camp Cove, it seemed to be a more compact cafe, but it seemed pretty popular. Fortunately, we were able to grab a table that could accommodate 4 people (not many of this seating). The staff seemed pretty friendly. Their drinks were good, but I think their dishes pleasantly surprised me. I think I typically don't expect much from coffee/tea shops that also serve food, but I feel like their food was so good and unique! Grilled halloumi salad: the halloumi was either grilled and it was so delicious! I loved the textures added by the greens, pistachio, and the farro. It felt so light and healthy. The dressing was also the right amount. Chicken schnitty: delicious and well seasoned. The chicken was crunchy and the avocado was a nice contrast to the fried chicken. Honeycomb matcha: strong matcha taste, a bit more earthy than refreshing for my preference. Still very good! Not too sweet. I think this is on par with some other local matcha shop. This was my first time at Camp Cove, and it's safe to to say that I'll be back! The cafe is really cute and you can tell it's heavily inspired by the beach (hence the name). I can already picture this place being a beach cafe next to the ocean, but we're in Sacramento so... I got the brekkie sandwich which was very flavorful and hearty. I loved that it comes with thick cut bacon-- I think that's what really made the sandwich for me. The egg was perfectly jammy, not too runny and also not cooked all the way through. The aioli that's added on the side was delicious and had a good spice kick to it. If you're the type to add hot sauce to anything, ask for this aioli sauce if you don't already get it with your order! The iced honeycomb matcha latte was soooo good. As a matcha connoisseur, it's always a hit or miss when I get matcha anywhere because some places use quality matcha, some places don't, and a lot of places don't know how to make good matcha. Camp Cove has good matcha. I personally thought that the honeycomb and the amount of matcha flavoring balanced each other out really well. And the foam on top was spectacular. read more

First, I want to say the food and most of the prices were decent at this place and if there hadn't been an issue with the service, the rating would have been much higher. When we got our drinks, our server didn't acknowledge us and we still thanked her and she didn't respond. She might have been irritated that my husband pointed out there was nothing visible stating they only take card and that they are giving away 3% to the credit card company for every transaction. As a business, it's their right to not accept cash (though it is the legal currency of the country) but as a customer, we have a right to point out that some people carry cash for a reason and don't use cards due to fraud. The other server was nicer but by the time he brought our food, I was tired of the other server being nice to everyone but us. On top of that, the place is small with no fans or AC. If we weren't in a rush and from out of town, we would have gone somewhere else. The only reason I'm giving this place 2 stars is because the Anzac biscuit was really good. The coffee on the other hand had a bit of a burned/bitter taste to it and my husband said the breakfast sandwich wasn't worth the $14 price tag. read more

Finally writing this review after my second visit. This is a coffee/cafe that truly rivals anything out of NYC and LA. The coffee and matcha are excellent and strong, great quality; espresso shots pulled well- no burnt or bitterness! THE VEGGIE STACK SANDWICH MAKES ME QUESTION EVERYTHING I LOVE ABOUT MEAT BECAUSE THAT WAS ONE OF THE BEST SANDWICHES I'VE EVER EATEN. Ok I'm calm now. Honey comb matcha was delish but I don't like sweet drinks so I got it half sweet and it was still plenty sweet. So good with the cold foam and crispy honeycomb on top. The person taking our orders had an Aussie accent, so it already felt very authentic. It's a small spot and quite busy, but we received our drink and food orders fairly quickly. They have a solid menu for breakfast and brunch. They have an extensive non-coffee menu, which is always a plus for me because I'm not a coffee girlie. Oh! And there are cookies the size of your face. I got a seasonal matcha guava lemonade which completely hit the spot. I also got an avocado toast with a poached egg on it. The toast was a little pricey with the egg, but it was a nice twist on the standard avo toast with peas mashed in. The bread was substantial and thick, but still easily cut with a fork and knife and it wasn't gonna cut your mouth open. It's a nice spot for a post or mid-bike ride snack. Visited in July 2025 around 11 am. Came in for a caffeine fix and left mildly more sophisticated. Ordered a flat white and a cortado--both were solid, well-balanced, and satisfying. Service was friendly and laid-back, though nothing particularly memorable. The café hums with quiet charm, like a playlist you didn't know you loved. Aussie-inspired touches give it character without trying too hard. Not life-changing, but definitely life-improving for about 45 minutes. read more
