    Iced latte and matcha latte
    Mary N.

Came here on a Sunday and the place was super busy but we were lucky enough to score a table. I noticed a lot of people getting their items To Go. The line was often out the door. First, the coffee...It was VERY good. Had the Iced latte and you can truly taste the coffee. My partner said her Iced Macha Latte was one of the best matcha lattes she has ever had. My Brekke Sandwich was perfect..the oozing egg was messy but I wouldn't trade it for any other type of egg. The bun was soft and fresh. The bacon was perfectly seasoned. My partner had the veggie burrito. It was very good but a tad bit salty. Luckily the sauce on the side help cut the salt a bit. Very cute place, just a tad bit small. They also had a couple of tables on the outside in front of the cafe. I will definitely be coming back to this place.

I came here to try their coffee next to one of my favorite pizza spots downtown . It was such a cute little shop, and the waitress was being so nice and patient with an I housed person who wouldn't accept the fact that this place did not accept cash only card. The interaction was fun to watch, and highlighted the dynamic between technological changes and resistant to change . Anyways... such a nice server. I got a miso latte and it was DELICIOUS. Sacramento really has some amazing coffee shops, and this is one of them. I will come back again for other beverages.

Food ingredients high quality based on eggs mushrooms and potatoes. Preparation took 20 minutes. It was after 12:30 but no food orders in front of ours. They allow squatters even during lunch hour with a small drink and hours-long computer sessions hogging tables displacing people spending money. Small businesses with creative food offerings still need to offer customer service--and tell squatters they have a time limit. Hot, unsweetened oatmilk latte excellent. They use glass rather than ceramic or paper. Welcome throwback to old days of pub glass coffee drinks last offered by naked lounge 15 years ago.

Wow wow wow I absolutely loved Camp Cove! This is an Australian-inspired coffee shop with unique drink and food options. I had this amazingly perfect soft scrambled egg, it seriously looked AI it was so pristine. This was served on yummy toasted sourdough and hit the spot. I also got a honeycomb matcha it was so delicious!! It was a creamy honey matcha with cold foam and honeycomb pieces on top. I sat inside and ate and the staff was super nice and helpful!

Underwhelmed with my visit after hearing about the raving responses to Camp Cove. I came with friends, we were not greeted and waited 10 minutes before we were helped at the register. They were in a rush, trying to catch up and push out as many food and drink orders as they could before taking new orders, understandably. Store has very limited seating especially if you're wanting to dine-in. About three tables, bar seating facing the windows, and two benches along the wall facing the pickup counter, as well as a table or two outside. We waited about 20 minutes for drinks and over 30 minutes for our food. I tried the Tim Tam Latte upon recommendation from the barista. I was intrigued because it's inspired by the Australian cookie, however, it had a gritty texture and weird aftertaste. I haven't had a Tim Tam to know if it resembles the taste or not- However, I would not get this drink again. The coffee was very strong and rich flavor, but I was disappointed with the portion. I finished my drink almost instantly after a few sips because it was filled with mostly ice (See photo)!! The Banana bread was good, thick slice and warmed to order, sprinkled with powdered sugar, but nothing special. The Cove burger was mediocre, patty thin/smaller than expected, and on the drier side. The breakfast sandwich was good, but the bacon was very oily and fatty. The store is beautifully lit with warm lights, plants, blue tiles, and lots of merchandise. Super cute and aesthetic, soft music playing in the background, but the portion and taste of both drinks and food aren't memorable or worth a visit.

Camp Cove is officially one of my favorite coffee spots in Sacramento. Every drink I've tried has been incredibly smooth and creamy. My go-to is their matcha latte with half the miso caramel syrup and the Tim Tam one is also amazing. I'm not even a huge chai person, but somehow their chai latte won me over too. Their baked goods deserve a shoutout as well. I've tried the banana bread, which comes perfectly toasted, and the chocolate chip cookies, both hit that ideal balance of savory and sweet. I definitely recommend Camp Cove!

Brekkie Sandwich!! This is the star of the table! Bacon slice is no joke... thicker than a social studies book.

First of all.... It's An Australian Cafe!! You have to check this out! I got the Brekkie Sandwich ($14), wife n kids got the Avocado toast with soft scramble (so pretty), Australian Cheeseburger, grilled chicken wrap with soft scramble eggs and a blueberry matcha. My Gosh, food was Fire!!!!! Seems simple but, flavors are brought out of each of ingredient

Camp Cove is an Aussie-inspired cafe in downtown! I stopped by in January and ordered off their winter menu. I got an Earl Grey Matcha, which was advertised as iced, but the barista made it hot for me. For my partner, I ordered the Tim Tam Latte - I wasn't familiar with what Tim Tams were, but I took a sip and loved it! It had a yummy chocolate flavor that was distinctively different from a mocha. Service was fast, friendly, and helpful. Drinks were prepared quickly and I loved the creative flavor profiles. The Matcha was good, but the Tim Tam latte was better! The space itself is very cozy, and I noticed some people were working while others were dining in for breakfast. There's limited indoor and outdoor seating, and I am curious about their food menu. Given that I don't know much about Australian cuisine, I'd like to see Camp Cove update their menu online so that I can browse ahead of time.

Was craving come morning caffeine and stopped by after seeing some photos from yelp. Honeycomb Matcha: This surprised me, I really liked the honey cold foam. It wasn't overly sweet honey taste and was more rich and caramely. Honeycomb garnish on top was delish, wish there was more. Miso-Caramel Latte: Super flavorful. Miso wasn't overwhelming and was just enough savory and sweet balance. Not usually a coffee person but this was yummy. Drinks were super good that we got 2 in the same trip xD

We tried to meet up with some friends at a nearby restaurant, but they were unexpectedly closed without any warning on the storefront or social media. Scrambling to find an alternative, we found Camp Cove, which was on our friend's list to try. Upon peeking inside of Camp Cove, it seemed to be a more compact cafe, but it seemed pretty popular. Fortunately, we were able to grab a table that could accommodate 4 people (not many of this seating). The staff seemed pretty friendly. Their drinks were good, but I think their dishes pleasantly surprised me. I think I typically don't expect much from coffee/tea shops that also serve food, but I feel like their food was so good and unique! Grilled halloumi salad: the halloumi was either grilled and it was so delicious! I loved the textures added by the greens, pistachio, and the farro. It felt so light and healthy. The dressing was also the right amount. Chicken schnitty: delicious and well seasoned. The chicken was crunchy and the avocado was a nice contrast to the fried chicken. Honeycomb matcha: strong matcha taste, a bit more earthy than refreshing for my preference. Still very good! Not too sweet. I think this is on par with some other local matcha shop. Iced carrot cake latte: couldn't really taste the carrot cake aspect. This was fine though. Overall, I would recommend this cafe!

Earl grey matcha. Half sweet. Nice and strong matcha and earl grey flavor!

Finally writing this review after my second visit. This is a coffee/cafe that truly rivals anything out of NYC and LA. The coffee and matcha are excellent and strong, great quality; espresso shots pulled well- no burnt or bitterness! THE VEGGIE STACK SANDWICH MAKES ME QUESTION EVERYTHING I LOVE ABOUT MEAT BECAUSE THAT WAS ONE OF THE BEST SANDWICHES I'VE EVER EATEN. Ok I'm calm now. Honey comb matcha was delish but I don't like sweet drinks so I got it half sweet and it was still plenty sweet. So good with the cold foam and crispy honeycomb on top. Anzac biscuit latte was good but I should've gotten it half sweet. Again- not knocking their methods but I like stronger coffee and matcha usually. That veggie stack sandwich. Mannnn, I'll be counting the minutes until I can go back for it. So glad to have a cute, relaxed spot like this that is pumping out QUALITY. I'm telling every human and dog I know about this place and why they should go there. Ambience is cool too. Nice place to work in peace. Ok that's all! Loveeee.

This was my first time at Camp Cove, and it's safe to to say that I'll be back! The cafe is really cute and you can tell it's heavily inspired by the beach (hence the name). I can already picture this place being a beach cafe next to the ocean, but we're in Sacramento so... I got the brekkie sandwich which was very flavorful and hearty. I loved that it comes with thick cut bacon-- I think that's what really made the sandwich for me. The egg was perfectly jammy, not too runny and also not cooked all the way through. The aioli that's added on the side was delicious and had a good spice kick to it. If you're the type to add hot sauce to anything, ask for this aioli sauce if you don't already get it with your order! The iced honeycomb matcha latte was soooo good. As a matcha connoisseur, it's always a hit or miss when I get matcha anywhere because some places use quality matcha, some places don't, and a lot of places don't know how to make good matcha. Camp Cove has good matcha. I personally thought that the honeycomb and the amount of matcha flavoring balanced each other out really well. And the foam on top was spectacular.

    Anzac Biscuit Latte
    Stacey L.

What a unique addition to the Sac coffee scene! This place has so many creative drink concepts and I was tempted to try it all. I ended up going with the barista's recommendation and was excited to try the Anzac Biscuit Latte -- it's basically like tasting gluten without the gluten! The buttery flavor was rich, almost like butter beer, with a subtle kick of coconut. I'll admit, the sweetness was on a whole other level (definitely sweeter than I'd normally go for). I probably wouldn't order this one again, but I'd absolutely come back to try their other drinks!

I'm thinking to myself, sooo if you KNOW you're of something that's popular and on the menu, maybe you should put a sign somewhere stating that it's currently NOT AVAILABLE. Then I had to call back home to let my siblings know that the initial drink they wanted was not available, so they can choose something else and again the guy taking the order wad annoyed. My siblings decided upon the Mangonada with brown sugar boba and the iced Dubai Chocolate Matcha. Unfortunately, brown sugar boba was not available was all out for the day according to the cashier.. but no sign stating that they were sold out. I had to call my siblings again to let them know and ask if they wanted crystal boba as a replacement. To keep the order going while I was calling them, I asked for a mochi waffle and the guy threw his hands up annoyed and was like do you not want the boba for drink? I told the cashier I'll have the crystal boba instead of the brown sugar since it's currently unavailable, and the guy goes with an attitude... soo do you want the crystal boba? I said yess...yes I do. The Iced Dubai Chocolate Matcha was alrightt. It is definitely not all that it is hyped up to be. The drink IMO was just a basic iced matcha with chocolate drizzle on the side of the cup and the pistachio foam that barely tasted like pistachio.

I was welcomed in and when I let them know it was my first time they recommended some items for me. I'm not a matcha fan, so I was more interested in trying their coffee. I ordered their date orange latte ($7), the twice hojicha ($7.50), and their simple avocado toast ($9). I had heard hojicha is a less grassy, more earthy/toasty version of matcha so I was excited to give it a try and see if I liked it more than matcha. Good news! Hojicha, at least the twice hojicha from Offbeat was delicious. I enjoyed the taste of tea and the aftertaste that matcha usually has for me wasn't there. I would 100% order this again. The date orange latte (iced) was also delicious and the flavors were perfect for our warm weather. The simple avocado toast had a thick piece of fresh baked bread with a generous layer of avocado on top. I don't frequently order avocado toast but it paired well with the drinks and is a great meal to start the day. I can see why this is a favorite for so many people and now that I've finally been in, I'll be back for more!

Temple is one of those places where the espresso tastes like someone with a chemistry degree and a poet's soul got together and decided the rest of us deserved better mornings. The baristas manage to be both calm and alarmingly competent. You ask one tiny question about beans and suddenly you're getting a TED Talk from a caffeinated forest monk. And the people here actually talk to each other. Not in the fake networking-event way where everyone's secretly scanning for status. More like artists, students, organizers, remote workers, philosophers, exhausted grad students, startup people, and neighborhood regulars all accidentally sharing the same living room. Clean space. Serious coffee. Zero snob energy. Headquarters of the Revolution. Special mention to Sam, who was managing Temple Coffee Roasters when I walked in. You can tell immediately when someone genuinely enjoys helping people, and Sam absolutely does. She told me she loves adjusting drinks to fit exactly what people want instead of treating coffee like some untouchable sacred formula -- stronger, softer, sweeter, whatever makes the person in front of her happy. And she said something deeper still: helping people feel good is actually pretty easy... although sometimes it's hard. That kind of sums service up. Sam has that rare combination of warmth, competence, patience, and calm that quietly changes your mood. All of a sudden you feel like being kinda kinder. Coffe drinks I tried: 1) Durian coffee -this was one the THE BEST variation of durian coffee that I've tried - liked that the blended the durian flavor in the cream foam and included pieces of fruit -the smell isn't over baring and just enough flavor mixed into the coffee where you don't feel duped, but has a well balance coffee to durian taste 2) Egg coffee -a solid egg coffee!! Would recommend 3) Coconut coffee -this is a blended ice drink -I typically like coconut Vietnamese coffee, however this wasn't the best variation I have as I did wish it was a little sweeter 4) Taro coffee -rather than a cream top like some of their other drinks, this was more of taro paste with bits in the Vietnamese coffee -it wasn't too sweet so had a stronger coffee taste Tea bases: -was told they seep their tea for about 8 hours to give it that strong flavor ! -green tea - usually not a green tea person when it comes to boba drinks (only by itself) since at times the fruit flavor over mask the tea but this place makes it potent -black tea - they say this one it not popular which is a bummer cause I love black tea -herbal tea- good flavor -jasmine - didn't get to try this tea base but I am sure it taste just as good as the others 1) Peach green tea -beyond refreshing! -loved the fruit bits and peach sliced in the drink 2) Lychee green tea -lychee fruit and lychee jelly included! -Loved the strong tea taste with the fruitiness Pandan waffle Durian waffle -both of these were delicious, good flavor and best right away while it is hot! Overall: One of the best Vietnamese coffee places in the area that I enjoy going to. Quality drinks that do not disappoint.

Lovely Vietnamese cafe!…read more We ordered an egg coffee and banana matcha, both good. The interior and seating are cute with a few options to sit. The design is old fashioned yet modern with a digital ordering interface. While the banana matcha was not my taste, the egg coffee was great! The coffee was strong yet good with a pandan waffle side! I anticipated staying up all night and did. This is for those who drink espresso or ca phe sua regularly. The tasty waffle helped balance the caffeine a little. The bathroom is cute and decorated with so much aesthetic, but the downside is no toilet seat covers.
