Tasty drinks, delicious waffles, and a cute space with fast service. Street parking only.
Great location for a quick pick up before the midtown farmers market. Went around 10:30am and we were able to order quickly and head out with tasty drinks. I was a fan of the cold foam but would love to see more seasonal drink options outside of the every day menu.
I stopped by this cafe on a weekday morning, and I loved the sunlight that was coming into the shop along with the open space and lightly colored furniture. The space itself is warm and inviting, and service was friendly! I tried a latte, and it was comforting and tasty drink for the morning, giving me the energy I needed to start the day.
Love this place for the cute outside look of it. Lots of natural sunlight and jut this cute house vibe from the outside. Inside is full of light. I will say the seating is really not great/ comfortable for a long time but their drinks are good and pastries too (although everything is pricey)
I went on a Monday and got an ice matcha and waffle with jam on the side. Loved the music being played, it made for a nice working environment! It was crowded by 10am. The matcha was $7, waffle was $7 and the jam was $1 extra so a little pricey. I would get the matcha again, sweet and flavorful!
Super great coffee, I got an iced vanilla late with their vanilla bean syrup and it was so amazing, I will definitely be coming back just for that. And the waffle was delicious too, super fluffy and topped with the perfect hint of sweetness from the powdered sugar! Baristas were sweet too :)

Something about the light wood paneling and tables makes this shop quite inviting and grounding. I got the pink bourbon Colombian drip and it was plenty good. A favorite spot for a coffee for sure.
I needed a coffee fix while working at the office, so my coworker and I decided to walk to The Mill since she recommended their coffee. I went with a vanilla bean latte with almond milk. The coffee was really good, but I'm not sure I could make this a regular stop because of the price. A 16-ounce latte cost me $8.81 before tips, which is definitely higher than what I usually pay at other coffee shops.
Yummm the matcha powder used here is goooood, and no skimping on it in drinks either!! I had the matcha sparkler and it was very refreshing. Hit the spot on a warm day. The cassia cold brew was a bit disappointing. The brew itself tasted smooth but the cream was bland and acted more as cup filler. Would have enjoyed a regular cold brew much more. Of course I had to try one of the iconic yeasted waffles here!! The waffle in hand was super light and crispy! Standard waffle taste. Reminds me a lot of something I would find at, like, Disneyland as an on-the-go snack lol. A small treat-yo-self kind of thing. Lastly, I tried a vegan spiced coffee cake donut that was in the display case. Pretty tasty vegan donut. Not overly sweet. Like the waffle it would make a great complement to any of the drinks here. Friendly and patient staff. I visited on a Friday at around 11 am. Short ordering line at the time and most of the seating was occupied. Didn't have too much trouble finding no-fee 1-hour parking along 18th Street.
I came to this place after a workout class right around the time it first opened. I ordered a hot latte with half vanilla and half caramel. I do say the latte was a 5/5 very delish. My friend got their matcha and said it was pretty good. We were the first customers so our drinks came out quick! I will say my heart did sort of drop as our total came out to a little over $16. The mill has some outdoor seating where we were able to wait for it to open. It's cute inside but my it echoed so bad and we're pretty loud talkers. However as more people came in the noise seem to be drowned.
This is my go to coffee spot! They have a delicious caramel latte that's perfect if you like your coffee on the sweeter side. And they have a lot of good pastries, all of which I believe are gluten free. They have some indoor seating but I prefer the back patio on a nice sunny morning.

SITREP Bambi and I were in the mood to caffeinate to prepare for the President's Day Protest at the State Capitol. and so there was no place better for us to trek to than The Mill to get us in the *right head space*. THE SETUP The Mill has a sah-weeeeet array of delicious coffees AND taste treats and we definitely took advantage of this! * My eyes didn't get past the Strawberry Donut, so my low-glucose diet was already a goner at this point; so, * So I tried to make up for it by getting a sugar-free Mocha to *ratchet down* any deleterious sugary overloads. BOTH were outstanding, and Bambi was quite happy with hers as well! OUTSIDE PATIO We actually took advantage of the rear outdoor patio on this occasion and this proved nice because it was nice and quiet with only two other couples there as well. BUT it was really cool since the sun doesn't really break through the room or high walls very well - more of a concern for Bambi than for me. THE LOWDOWN The Mill is an excellent spot to chill and prepare for your next adventures!
Super great service. The girl at the front counter was so nice and recommended drinks when I asked and was super friendly and inviting. The vibes here are super cute and cozy and nice seating outside that is in the shade and plenty of people walking around and heading to the farmers market which is close by as well. So there is great people watching and dogs around. Some things my friends and I tried and what we rate them... Vegan Strawberry doughnut - medium texture good strawberry flavor - 4/5 Coffee cake - softer texture than the doughnut, whipped frosting and brown sugar crumbles - 3/5 Cold brew - 9/10 - bold flavor Oat milk vanilla bean latte - good coffee flavor profile, not overly sweet but sweet enough. - 8.5/10 Black coffee - 9/10 pure and simple The woman working there (I wish I asked her name) recommended the matcha latte so I'll deff come back here to try that. Loved this coffee shop and great location on a Saturday to hit up the farmers market.

I finally got to try this place out after being in my bookmarked places for months. I got the wildwood latte and the waffle. The latte was sweet, and a hint of floral fragrance. I'm a big fan of lavender latte la so this was perfect for me. The waffle was fluffy and not oily at all, it was the perfect treat just filling enough for breakfast. There were decent amounts of seats, with a few tables to work/study. Workers were friendly. You will need to find street parking, but that's expected downtown. I would totally go back! read more
loved loved loved the lemon poppyseed loaf. so moist and flavorful. you could actually taste the lemon, and it tasted fresh. yummy sweet treat. i'd love to go back and try the waffle when i have more time. to drink, i had the vanilla bean latte. it was good, but i wish it was sweeter. i could have just asked for extra, but i had already left. all of their merch was so cute. they had lots of matcha stuff which was nice. they had a nice working space. parking was a little limited tho. read more

This is my favorite coffee shop in Midtown. Beautiful atmosphere, chill music, great drinks and friendly baristas. The sweet treats are always a delight! I dare you to sit here smell the waffle and not immediately buy one. They have such a fantastic tea flavors and for a coffee spot a solid selection. The vibe is immaculate. The only hard things is there are limited wall sockets if you have an old pc like me. read more

Food: 3/5 They offer pastries and a plethora of coffee/ tea options. I purchased the banana loaf, which was delicious. I asked the cashier to warm it up but she didn't have a microwave or anything to do so (womp womp). Nonetheless, it was still good. I also had a chai tea it tasted okay. A little bland. Service: 5/5 The customer service was pleasant. No complaints at all. Ambiance: 4/5 Cute, clean with outdoor seating options. read more
In my attempt to support local business and boycott the chains, I discovered The Mill today. Charming little coffee shop with a small parking lot in the back and little outdoor seating. I had an 8 ounce cappuccino (2% milk - they didn't have nonfat) and a plain croissant - the baked goods come from Estelle's! Coffee was smooth and tasty! The barista was kind and helpful. When I went into the mill, I was walking my dog and happened to want a tea. I looked at their curated tea menu and asked some questions and found out all their teas are mixed and bagged by their herbalist who gets the leafs/ingredients from Japan! The person helping was very helpful, i asked for a mixture of both and they gladly mixed it up and reminded me on busier days they may not be able to do that. I loved the inside and cozy feel, is wish i could have stayed to enjoy the ambiance. read more

I got the wildflower latte and with tax and tip it was over $10 and absolutely not worth it. I unfortunately didn't enjoy it at all. It tasted like an oversweetened plain latte. Typically when I'm getting a signature latte, I expect an actual taste. The wildflower syrup, I guess, is just sugar. I don't know if I'll be back. I was quite disappointed and at this price point, I really expected something worth having. Service was good and the ambience was nice. read more

There are a lot of cafés in Sacramento, and most of them are a little too popular for their own good. The Mill, though, is a refreshing change -- chill atmosphere, plenty of seating, and genuinely great service. Unlike the overcrowded spots, this place feels like a hidden gem that deserves way more recognition. The baristas are kind, welcoming, and seriously good at what they do. Best matcha in Sac. Definitely worth a stop! read more

This spot is such a gem! The barista recommended sitting in the back patio--absolutely darling--and it was the perfect place to enjoy my drinks. I was having a tough day and wanted to go out to celebrate, he was so helpful, kind and such a cutie! I tried an iced chai and an iced wildwood flower latter he suggested, and that latte was what dreams are made of. The atmosphere was peaceful--I'll definitely be back. read more
Whenever I'm in downtown or midtown, I feel the need to visit a coffee shop. It was my first time at The Mill and I really liked it! Coffee was great and service was amazing! I love it when places make their own syrups, it really makes a difference. It was pricey though, I think I paid $16-17 for two drinks. A great place to get work done or hang out with friends. There's plenty of seating available. I'll need to try out their waffles next time! read more

Big fan of The Mill! It's a must for the best waffle you'll ever have and some amazing coffee. We stopped by today for a quick breakfast and coffee. Their waffles are an absolute must. I tried their seasonal coffee drink (can't remember the name but it was herbaceous and summery!). Such a cute spot with friendly staff. Highly recommend! read more

We're fortunate to have many great local coffee shops to chose from in the Sacramento area, and The Mill is among them. Located in Midtown Sac, you'll have to locate street parking, but there was plenty of spaces when I stopped by. Service was good. I was planning to order a plain latte, but after seeing their syrup options, I decided to add their seasonal (Spring/Summer) option called "Wild Wood Flower Syrup". I very much enjoyed the taste! I will note, it's a bit more expensive than what I typically like to spend on coffee, even when I opted to not get my usual oat milk substitution (at an additional dollar). My total, with tip, ended up being about $8-9 for just one drink. However, I'd rather spend that amount for a good tasting drink than spend $6 on a cup of coffee that tastes terrible! There is seating both inside and outside. A great place to sit/relax while simply enjoying your coffee or to get some work done. read more

Cutest cafe in the area, the vibes are on point. We chose this cafe because there are a lot of tables to sit and get work done, and to our surprise, we had a very pleasant coffee shop date. Highlight is definitely the service, everyone was so friendly and sweet. The coffee is perfect, and the waffle was also crisp and delicious. The only thing I wouldn't recommend is the strawberry jam, which didn't pair that well with the waffle. read more

Hi, so I’m trying to remember the exact time I believe it was 12:30pm for the fancy waffles but they serve the basic handheld plain waffle all day.
