I tried a flight but only was able to try some because the rest spilled. It was a very relaxing day. We had our 1 year old with us. They do not allow toys/balls for obviously reasons but there was so much space to move around it was great. Bathrooms were clean, a lot of parking. I would recommend a day here for sure.

It is also a perfect winery for larger groups as they have an indoor and outdoor tasting area. This place is just beautiful. We sat on the porch looking out over the vineyard like we were in the Alexander Valley. Honestly, we have done the North Fork trail more but will now be a SOFO family as well. Helene and I both enjoy a good Chardonnay and "Wolffer's Pearl" is great, A chard with tremendous body and depth. We had the honor of being on a European Wine Cruise with the wine maker. Roman Roth [and his wife]. He had multiple wine dinners where we had an opportunity to try some of these new red and white wines and really took a liking to them. We joined their wine club as soon as we returned home so we'll have more to enjoy during the year. Let me be honest... I have been drinking and collecting Roman Roth wines for years now and have always enjoyed them. The team that took care of us was amazing. Nothing but smiles and service. We were very lucky to have the opportunity to experience this wonderful visit. The only downside is that the drive from mid-island to the Hamptons can get a little long. DO come here if you know about wine, want to LEARN about wine, want to drink well-crafted wine and enjoy a quieter, more civilized and intimate setting. Peconic Cellar Door occupies the space that formerly housed Provisions and Ingredients and shoulders up to Winemaker Studio. It's a small space but seems airy. White dominates and custom made tables allow for various configurations; You can get a few bistro-like four tops or join them for one, longer communal table. There is, of course, a bar. It's very tidy. But where this place shines is with their wines and the interaction with the winemakers. This afternoon, we had the pleasure of chatting with Robin, co-owner of Peconic Cellar Door and winemaker of Salt Bird Cellars wines. As the actual wine-maker, she was able to give us a deeper appreciation of the entire process and of the wine itself. We also shot the breeze about craft beer, Australian hops, the "agri-culture" Down Under and the hideous traffic this time of year. Try getting THAT kind of interaction at one of the gigantic vineyards! What's also great is that, since they abut Winemaker Studio, you can really get a tremendous scope of Long Island wines in this one, tiny joint. We were the only ones here right around closing time on a Sunday, but were welcomed in anyway and didn't feel like we were keeping anyone which is always nice. The distillery has plenty of cocktail options to choose from made from their signature liquors. The mango mojito here was refreshing and delicious, with just the right amount of mango puree. After spending the weekend getting soaked by drink prices in the Hamptons I was also happy to discover that prices here were incredibly reasonable. A standard mixed drink is $10, cocktails are around $14. Food here is the same as next door as the two share a parking lot with rotating food trucks -- our bartender let us know that in addition to the Greek food truck they also sometimes have a pizza truck that's apparently super good. I know it's not their fault but I felt so awful for the bartender she was literally covered in bees I would've died. There were two bars going at Jamesport Farm when I was here - an outdoor window where you can order a quick beer, and an indoor bar that seemed to have more of a variety. I was dying for a pumpkin beer even though it was summer weather outside, but was a bit let down to find that even though there were people walking around with a cinnamon sugar rim, mine didn't get that same special treatment. No matter, it was still a good beer. I ended up trying a sour beer as well here which was very bright and refreshing. Overall, a solid selection of local beers with nice views and ample tables. We got to watch the stein holding competition while here which was really entertaining. Live music here was also a fun time. I appreciated the variety of food truck offerings as well. There are plenty of lawn games if that's what you're into. Solid spot for a beer and a good time, IMHO.

It was the same beer called devolve. I liked the beer it was light with a nice fruity taste. Northfork looks like they set up shop in a garage which is pretty cool, they designed it well but I wonder how they stay open in the winter. Super nice and approachable, let us sample anything we wanted. I went with a flight to start out with since there was a nice variety of options. I'm not an IPA person, so I opted for a peach sour, a pilsner, a wheat beer and one wild card that was bitter but in a good way. I love a good sour and had to get a second glass of the peach beer after my flight. Prices are reasonable, flights are around $12 for four pours, and a draft beer is $9. They also have cans to go if there's a beer you fall in love with and want to take home with you. They have a rotating food truck out back (it was Greek food when we came here) and also had a few empanadas. We did the three for $13 and got a variety. Our bartender accommodated us by leaving the black bean one on a separate plate since one of us don't eat meat. Ambiance here is chill and laid back, there are several games you can play and there was live music you could hear playing from next door at Montauk Distilling Co. which was a nice touch. A solid place to spend a nice Sunday - I was honestly surprised they weren't packed.
