This was a wonderful glamping spot. They have a first rate clubhouse with a great bar and restaurant, pool, hot-tub, and massages are available. If you want to BBQ you can get a prepared BBQ meal to cook up yourself. The bee hives and class is a cool event. Minutes from Bar Harbour and Acadia NP. There are guided hikes and tours available. All the staff were super helpful. Carol, Omar, Spencer, PJ, Emily and so many others. You can get a tent with showers and bath inside or a tent and walk to the bath house. Remember it is a tent not a hotel so if looking for a hotel, wrong place. They have provided many first class items with a rugged flair. Fire wood and Ice for the cooler was provided. We had a fire every night and enjoyed the smores. This is a kid friendly spot. We were on our honeymoon and loved it and can't wait to come back. P.S. I don't understand some of the negative reviews. This is a tent and glamping spot. There are some things you will not get. If you want a hotel you should get one of those. However, the comments about cleanliness seem to have be resolved everything was spotless. Life is short, don't let things ruin the moment roll with it. The world is not perfect and people do their best. You can still have a laugh and great fun.

What a beautiful resort. The tent was huge, pour over coffee, kettle, tea, ceiling fans, the next to last day they added a lovely outdoor shower to our tent. Included breakfast was oatmeal, hard boiled eggs, fresh fruit, multiple muffins, bagels, toast, coffee, tea. There is an espresso bar with lattes $4. Fire pits at each site with free fire wood. You can also check out trekking poles, binoculars, back packs, telescopes and more from front desk. The lodge serves dinner and has a bar. There are also tons of board games, books and more. My only complaint is the heater is very tiny and only heats about 6" in front of it. The first night it got to 48 degrees and the other room the sleepers were pretty cold. They do have some heavy wool blankets. Otherwise I love this place. There are 4 parking lots with wagons at each to bring your stuff to your tents. It's nice so no cars are around the te

Overall, I feel like the Terramor was exactly as advertised. I knew it was upscale camping but in some ways we would still be "roughing it" to make it somewhat authentic. We stayed in the Birch tent which is made for 5 people. Would only recommend this for a family. 2 couples may be strange staying there as the couples staying in the room with bunk beds would need to walk past the bed of those sharing the king. Some areas for improvement: - lighting is pretty weak. There needs to be much stronger light in the main bedroom. Had difficulties seeing what was in my luggage even in the day - needs a hook for towels after you shower - needs designated parking spot(s) per tent. Our tent was in the very back of the place and every night we couldn't find parking in the last lot closest to us due to people have friends over. Would be nice to have a guaranteed space right here -the nights are definitely chilly. Stayed here at end of September and the space heater helps to keep warm the one side of the bed it's near, but it's not enough to heat up the entire tent. Would suggest a heated blanket instead -they should give you enough coffee to cover you for all the nights of your stay. They aren't coming in to replenish/clean due to covid so would be nice to have enough of everything to cover us throughout the stay so we didn't have to ask for more Positives: - bed is VERY comfy. Once you get the chill out of the bed, the blankets are amazing too -Toiletries are high quality -Chemex, gooseneck kettle and RTIC cooler (free ice was a nice perk!) are high end and welcome additions - fire pit was cozy -the guy that checked us in was so nice!

Beautiful property, felt like family summer camp

This place was so good for the senses and so good for our outdoor loving family. It took me back to my childhood summer camp days with all the comforts of a resort. The tent was awesome, comfortable bed, bunk beds for the kids, beautiful shower with awesome scented soaps. The complementary breakfast was great, I loved hard boiled eggs and our kids loved the muffins. We enjoyed the lodge too, especially the board games in the screened in porch. The on-site pizza and burger meals were delicious. Most of all, the staff was friendly and even shared fun facts about the places we were visiting in Acadia. Thank you for a great stay!

Opening season has been a rough one for them. They must have advertised in NYC and Boston, because that is who is here. The "resort" is beautiful, but lacking service and some of the amenities that are being advertised. Only 2 telescopes are available. No heated blankets, but they have plenty of blankets if you ask. No hot breakfast was a disappointment, but again, if you ask for something specific in the morning they may have it (gluten free bread, hard boiled eggs). The beds were comfortable, but we couldn't figure out how they made the beds on the first night and were all struggling with the top sheet. Note: if you are in a bunk bed, the top sheet is folded in half lengthwise. The tents are very nice. Bathrooms need a hook or two to hang a towel or bathrobe. Each unit is issued a zippered cooler. The zippers are very difficult to open. These will not last. They charge $10 for a small bundle of wood with no kindling, so people steal it from the pavilion. They should sell fire starters or small bundling of kindling. 10pm quiet time is a little early. Perhaps management should consider an "early to bed" section and a "we are on vacation" section. I do hope they succeed,Not sure it's worth the asking price.

I had a minor meltdown upon check-in bc it appeared they had given our room to someone else and we called to complain to the manager, Josh, who upgraded us and was SO nice. Our new room was beautiful in the main building with a gorgeous view of the water. They had a welcome card for me and chocolates and a small gift for my birthday. We were impressed with everything here. Staff were friendly. Rooms are beautiful and well-appointed and comfortable and upgraded. Room cleaning was prompt and efficient (they were in and out within an hour of our walking out every day). Their lobby has games to play, newspapers, and 24/7 access to hot chocolate, fresh coffee, and fresh water and sparkling water on tap as well as a nice business center/printer computer. The women's restroom even had personal items out if you needed them. The rooms are unique and the architecture is different. Very charming hotel in a very charming town. The included continental breakfast was one of the nicest I've had included in a room charge in a long time. Large selection of fresh pastries, hot items, cold items, coffee, juice and tea as well as fruits always being replenished with care and attention. We enjoyed everything about this hotel. Thank you to Josh, Ashley and even Tyler who gave us a history lesson about the inn and the town. We will be back.

The whole property was cozy, quiet and relaxing. Our room was spacious with a lovely balcony overlooking the water. Service: Welcoming and kind door people upon arrival, and the front desk staff was very helpful and provided all the most useful information. The bartender at the Oasis lounge was the perfect level of chatty but let us also have our own conversation. Every staff member we encountered seemed dedicated to hospitality. Location: Could not be better. Walking distance to everything in town but right on the water and perfect access to the shore path. Ample parking. Other notes. The continental breakfast was phenomenal. No hot items but they had delicious ham and cheese croissants, spinach and cheese pastries, yogurt dishes and heaps of fresh berries to keep you fueled up for a great day. Tasty coffee and everything was well stocked. This place cannot be beat. Folks usually only leave reviews for hotels when they have something to complain about but I do not have one such thing. Thank you!

It wasn't just a vacation; it felt like we were genuinely cared for from the moment we arrived until the day we left. The attention to detail throughout the property is exceptional. Every member of the staff was warm, welcoming, and eager to make our stay special. We were constantly amazed by the thoughtful touches--from the personalized treats waiting for our kids, to the beautifully folded laundry returned in a charming basket (what a luxury for a mom on vacation!), to the nightly turndown service that made us feel completely pampered. Breakfast each morning was outstanding and we all loved the afternoon teatime! Chef Tricia and her team created delicious, beautifully prepared food. it was lovely to be able to pop in for breakfast or afternoon tea and treats each day. Our children loved the nightly s'mores around the fire pit, the playground, and wandering the shoreline trail to climb on the rocks by the water. Those simple moments became some of our favorite family memories. The complimentary shuttle into downtown Bar Harbor made everything incredibly convenient, and the hotel's location--just minutes from Acadia National Park--couldn't have been better. My daughter and I enjoyed taking the shuttle to the sister property for morning yoga. We enjoyed all the beauty and adventure of the area while always looking forward to returning "home" to The Bayview each evening. A very special thank you to Vinet at the front desk, the manager, Chef Tricia, and every member of the team. You each made us feel truly special. The level of hospitality you provide has really set the bar. Our week flew by. We left feeling refreshed, spoiled, and already talking about when we can come back. This is their number one asset, and they treat it that way. The room highlights the view perfectly, and the grounds are impeccable. - The room was nice, clean, and everything in it just right. The room cleaning staff was excellent. - The extra touches were a delight: chocolate strawberries for our 34th anniversary with a note, the water bottles, turn-down service with little gifts. Little touches like that around every corner. - The breakfast (and food in general) exceeded our expectation. Whoever they have in the kitchen is doing a bang-up job. - The front desk staff was gracious, helpful, and prompt. The concierge helped us with reservations and itinerary. Top notch. - The shuttle was great. It made the hotel's distance from downtown a non-issue. - We had a minor issue with an overly-enthusiastic dog (remember this is a pet-friendly hotel btw), but the staff and management handled it quickly and professionally, again making it a non-issue.

The huge room included a patio with a beautiful view of Mt Dessert Narrows and early morning sunsets. I loved the class that went into decorating the room. The real wood furniture, classy light fixtures, yet modern amenities (usb charging ports, key rig, fridge, microwave, etc) really made the room feel upscale yet homey. The room was very clean and I slept very well in that comfy bed! If you have a chance, spend some time in the Great Room listening to Bill Trowell, the pianist who plays most nights. Bring a snack with you, or buy a drink at the bar. Although we didn't have a chance to use them, there was an outdoor pool and a fire pit surrounded by Adirondack chairs that's lit nightly. There's also an indoor pool and fitness center. Next door, is the Looking Glass restaurant which serves a good breakfast with a beautiful view. The only negatives of the hotel (in my opinion) are a few minor things: 1. The rooms use an actual key (not a card). 2. It's kinda far from the walkable area of Bar Harbor. 3. The hot water for the bathtub took forever to heat up, and also get dangerously hot, so use caution!! 4. It seems like (from the other reviews) that the other building, Stenna Nordica, might not have rooms as nice as those in the Mizzentop building, but I don't know for sure since I didn't have a chance to see those rooms. So to be safe, book a mizzentop room. Overall, I would highly recommend staying here if you're ok with staying a few minutes outside of town, and enjoy beautiful views of the water from the comfort of your own private porch.
