He has had my items since the beginning of May and we are now entering July. At first he was communicating but it was inconsistent in that of a business owner. He was supposed to repair my laptop screen and my cracked iPad screen. He stated that depending on the materials it would be a week turn around at most. He had my items for a week before he realized he did not have the screens so I sent him what he needed ($) to order them. That was the last I heard from him and that was 3 weeks ago. I'm in a nursing program and I explained this to him, my devices are my lifeline right now. This has put me in such a bad space academically I have to fight tooth and nail to get a passing grade (I ended my last semester with a 3.2 gpa). I wanted to give a small business a chance because I know times are hard but now he has over $200 for the screens, labor and 2 devices valuing at $800-$1000. I am beyond upset. I dropped my son's gaming computer off to Terrells Computer Repair at 948 W 78th Street on September 28th to have an updated operating system installed. I have yet to receive a return call and the owner has only responded to one text message regarding returning my property. I filed a police report today for Theft of Property but am now out of a $600 computer I bought my son for Christmas last year. My son is crushed and I am beyond livid. read more

I gave Mr. Terrell my computer a couple of months ago . He informed me to order the part so I did. It took me a while to order the part. The part finally came to the house . Took the part back to Mr. Terrell. Mr Terrell , informed me that the part did not work. He told me that he would call me back. I have not heard from him and I gave him money and purchased the part for my computer. He has my computer and has not returned my phone call or text message. He is unprofessional . Do not go to Mr. Terrell If you need your computer repaired. Please got To a reputable business. I never received my money back or my computer or the part that I paid for . He stopped answering my phone calls and my text. . I don't want to see no one else have their items stolen because that's what happened. He is a scammer. Me. Terrell is a scammer. This is not a brick and mortar business. I was asked to meet him at his home and he could replace a screen in 15ish minutes. It was not pleasant and I was there 35 minutes and nothing was accomplished. He did not have new parts or properly stored used ones. He actually had several parts of multiple laptops around the space and to my eye it looked like laptops simply broken in half and stacked in the kitchen and bedroom.... He required a $50 fee to begin. He never did anything and still wanted the $50 fee. I agreed to purchase a new screen myself and pay him to install it. He agreed to text me the part I needed to purchase. After paying him $60 with a $40 balance to paid at installation, he stopped responding to my communications. I feel foolish for not listening to the negative reviews (or my gut). I was desperate to repair my device because I was against a deadline and hopeful this would work. I've read every review here and I can validate the poor communication, disappearing act, nasty apartment, used/broken parts/pieces of things, failure to provide repair or return money and use of Google numbers to handle business. The guy was very patient with me and very professional. We order to screen I needed to repair my notebook and when it came it took him 8 minutes to repair. He is very honest and trustworthy and didn't want to hold my property for too long even tho I didn't mind and was trying to leave him with him until I had the rest of the money to pay. Terrell was absolutely amazing. He immediately addressed the issue on the computer and was in constant contact with me regarding what was going on. My computer ended up needing parts and Terrell located the parts and made sure that they were installed quickly and efficiently. I could not have asked for better service and I would highly recommend Terrell to anyone needing any computer services in the future. read more

He STOLE MY SCHOOL LAPTOP. I contacted this repair shop to get a charging port fixed. I never received my property back and he took my screen out seemingly to sell it . When contacting him I kept getting the run around and bad communication. I paid for the service and for the wrong parts only to not have my laptop still. Will be filing claim read more
