I was told the diagnosis would take 24-48 hours. It took about a week. I paid $90 upfront for the diagnostic. I was later quoted $200 to replace the processor chip. I decided not to proceed with the repair and went to pick up my equipment. When I arrived, I was first told it was fixed. Then I was told it was not fixed but that a bad capacitor had been identified and it could be repaired in two hours. I agreed to wait, but then I was told they were going to lunch for a couple of hours. I returned the next day. The next day, the door was locked. I called and was told they were closed. When I asked to pick up my property, the owner became hostile and threatened to call the police. I was told to return the following week. When I went back at 11:30 a.m., I was told there was an issue at the shop and that I would need to meet at another storefront in Hyde Park. I was told to come at 1:30 p.m., then it was changed to 2:30 p.m. I refused the change, and eventually received the address to retrieve my equipment. In the end, nothing was repaired. I was also told they did not have the programmer required and that it would cost $200 for one. I later purchased the same programmer new on eBay for $35 and a replacement chip for $44. The communication was inconsistent, timelines were not honored, and picking up my own property became unnecessarily difficult. Based on this experience, I would not return.

My E/V speaker control button was damaged and pushed all the way in and because of this speaker did…read morenot work. I emailed Anthony who emailed right back. "Hi, You'll have to drop it off so we can inspect it further. We charge $20 upfront for the inspection and will need it for a few days. Thanks." I brought my speaker to his shop and paid $20 to inspect. Still not knowing if he could fix or not. Inspection took two weeks and two days, Then I get a call from Anthony and he said he could fix the problem also my other control knob was also on the verge of breaking and he would fix that too. The estimate is between $180 and $200. I gave him the go ahead and my speaker was repaired within two days. I asked him if I could pick up the speaker within four days Saturday because I lived way on the south side and he said that was fine. When I picked up the speaker we tested it there to make sure it was working properly. Not only was it working properly and both control knobs were fixed but he added the knobs that were missing that caused the problem in the first place. My total charge including inspection $200. I 100% recommend Athonys Electronics, Friendly service, reasonable price, honest. I did not mind the inspection wait time it just shows that he does not rush jobs and wants to do it right. the picture on the right shows what the speaker knob looked like before I took it in. I would not recommend nobody come to this place to get their technology done whether it's for work, school, or home and I suggest to find another place unless you want to be scam by a real scammer. I promise it be so much worth your time and money, if you don't come to this place, because 529.20 or higher is way too much in our society and they don't tell you about the tax too the last minute and they charge for putting it back together and every other thing that they can find.
