Last week, he shrugged when I asked where the disability scooter was, and he told me to ask someone else. It was behind him. He wasn't even busy. At 5:30 pm Jl. 3/26. I asked for help finding the TP that was 35% off, because a palette was in front of the TP. He sent a pleasant young man named Sean after it, who brought back the wrong one. Sean went back. Cristhian then told the Customer Service guy Drew, that Sean had not brought the one he asked for. Well, C had NOT specified details to S, and I said so. C rolled his eyes and tried to argue. He also argued that the $28.99 TP was the same price as the $19.99 one on Rewards. He tried to put his own mistake on me. I own a small biz. Let me tell you, this guy is nothing but a liability.

At the till, I left thinking prices seemed about the same as the other 2 market/grocery stores I've stopped at. This one was just much more manageable for me to shop. I really enjoyed the fact that it is small enough that I'm not using all my energy to reach the dairy/fridge aisle. I didn't see any aisle description signs but then again, as this is a smaller store there isn't a giant long section & you can see things a lot easier from either end. Store seemed clean & accessibility wise was decent for width of aisles, entrance/exit. The line-up area/ access space around the tills would be easy to navigate for any mobility aid. Important to note, there's minimal street parking available. Definitely one can describe this market as a neighbourhood market & best to walk there, bike, bus or be dropped off. I also have to note it was a nice surprise to see the person stocking the store was able to help manage the line growing at check out. That's rarely the case in bigger stores to have a till open up. The only reason I'll give a 4 star is that the person stocking throughout the store passed me several times while I was shopping. Yet, never asked if I needed help or if there was anything in particular I'm looking for. I found things well enough by myself but that kind of struck me as odd. It was also weird for what seemed to be a community store, not to have a welcoming vibe from him or any of the staff throughout my shopping time/check-out. Overall, decent place to grab groceries or find some prepared items to make your meal prep easier.

However, on a recent visit a male staff from Produce repeatedly reached over me and bumped into my scooter as he fawned over an ablebodied customer in line. He acted as if I were an object. No "Excuse me," nothing. When I spoke up, he mansplained how he has the right to do this and, "I'm sorry YOU feel THAT way." I told him he was physically hurting me, besides being rude. He continued to abuse me. The Human Rights Tribunal confirmed I have grounds for a disability discrimination case. An assistive device is legally part of a disabled person's body. What this employee did was assault. As well, the payment terminals have been moved so they are too high for disabled people to reach from wheelchairs. Thanks, but I can pay more reasonable prices for organics at regular grocery stores, and get treated as if I am human. As I said, I went to WF mainly for customer service. Not to have my human rights violated.

Noticed I had been eating moldy bread that's expiry wasn't until the 9th. Called the store to ask about a refund as I had kept the receipt and it was only the 2nd. The lady on the phone said I could come in for a refund and she would let other staff know when I'd be by. I asked her if I needed to bring the moldy bread, she said nope. I went the next day to get my refund with the receipt. The cashiers did not want to refund me unless I had the bread with me to prove it. Clearly they had no idea I was coming by. LUCKILY I KEPT THE MOLDY BREAD and went back to my car to get it. When I brought it back they STILL refused to refund me. They told me to go exchange it for another. After eating moldy bread the last thing I want to eat is the same bread so I asked again for the money refunded and the cashier was literally ARGUING with me as if the cost of the bread came out of his own pocket. Unbelievable. He continued to refuse to refund me even though I had taken all steps requested to correctly receive a refund. I opted to just cash exchange it for a different item so that this man would stop arguing with me over a refund for MOLDY BREAD THAT I LITERALLY ATE AND SPENT MONEY ON THAT HAD NOT EVEN REACHED ITS EXPIRY BY DAYS. The audacity. Some of the worst customer service I have ever received anywhere.
