Expensive, poor service, rude employees, extremely loud environment both inside and out, kids SCREAMING inside the place and out in the parking lot, cars racing around the parking lot, dirty inside and out, I feel bad for the people that live around there, it seems like a place parents dump off their kids and let them go crazy. Great ice cream but the employees yelled at some kids for my cleaning their table in front of me, a customer. The employee said "can you guys pick up your trash... thanks" in a very disrespectful tone. A nice boy came back to clean and said "I'm sorry that wasn't me it was my friends." The employee then retorted "wel we get paid to scoop ice cream not clean up your trash." I was just trying to get ice cream after work... not enter a teenage drama. read more

I've been coming here for a long long time with my family, the place is amazing. I think every time I go in there it keeps getting better and better. They have this amazing Warm Cookie Dough Topping and so many fresh topping. The 50's theme is also very comfortable and fun. They have been making these changes to the shop for years! They have some of the hardest working people you will find there. Last time I went these two girls were awesome so much personality and really knew what they were doing. If you go anywhere else for an Ice Cream the prices are basically the same. Anywhere you go prices are high nowadays people, dont even get me started on the movie theaters. Wonderful ice cream, visiting Marblehead for a few days have been there twice now. First time had "small (2 scoop)cones" of Maine Black bear and my daughter had Bluebery Pie. Both delicious. They were enormous servings. Today had black raspberry and daughter had peach soft serve ordered the single scoop which was still fairly large. Again the ice cream was excellent. Service was great. Plan to return at least one more time before we leave. Want to try the coffee Oreo. read more

I walk in to order my usual order at Terry's and some girl with a tattoo right near her neck was extremely rude and when I told her my order she rolled her eyes at me. My credit card didn't immediately read and she hassled me for it not working and demanded another form of payment without typing in the card number. I asked her for a spoon to which she rolled her eyes yet again. I thanked her and she completely ignored me. Overall disappointing experience. read more

Ice cream is amazing however it is extremely overpriced. The two girls working there were very rude. One looked rather trashy with tattoos and a plastic choker. The girls were taking about their private lives very loudly behind the counter. I stood in front of the cooler (no line) for three minutes before either of the gossiping girls paid any attention to me. When I got served my ice cream the cup was practically thrown at me. I personally love Terry's Ice Cream!!! I go there almost every day! I was sitting at the table by the window that night "Krissy B" went in. The line just died down and the girls were just taking a little break. "Krissy B" and her husband came in, they were looking at the flavors. Her husband placed his order, to the girl with the tattoo. She immediately got it for him, "Krissy B" went over to the other girl and was so demanding. She got really aggravated when the other girl was helping a different family, said she lost her appetite stormed out while her husband awkwardly paid for his ice cream. He was very polite and left. It's wrong to judge anyone based on how they look, they are just teens working a costumer service job. It doesn't look too easy. Terry's serves delicious richardsons ice cream, at a real good price and usually stacks em high. Get some cookie dough on it and you got yourself a real treat. The only way I can imagine you'd see a bad review for this place is if somebody encountered a line or they are unreasonable enough to think that some high school kids are going to roll out the red carpet for somebody looking to get ice cream. read more

I have seen Terry's Ice Cream Truck around town. Had the brilliant Idea to see if they would come to my Kids birthday Party. Called up 3 weeks ahead to see if it could be done. Of course it could be the girl said. I told her that I wanted them to come at 545 on a certain Saturday. She said they would need to know the amount of people that were gonna be there. I asked if I could call a few days before with the final count. No Problem at all she said. Called the Monday before to finalize everything. Yup all set for 545 for 25 kids 20 adults. This was a total surprise for my kids, we did not get cake or dessert for the party as we did not need to as Terry's was coming. So at 545 we all walk to the front of the house to see the surprise coming down the road, but wait there is nothing coming down the road. We wait 10 minutes and all the 4-5 year olds start looking at me like I have 10 heads. I call up Terry's to see if there was an issue. Girl says she will try and get a hold of the owner, and she will call me back. Another 10 Minutes goes by no phone call back. I call back and a different girl answers and says they double booked the truck and they are out of town and will not be coming. You can imagine the look on my two boys faces once they learned that we had no cake or anything for their birthdays. Please be forewarned when asking the truck to come to your event... read more

I love the old school theme of Terrys.But lets be honest their product is only good because its Richardsons. but if I could id rather just go there for it. Terry's service is horrible their was one person there who is no longer there who made it enjoyable. I honestly don't blame him why he left seeing how they get treated. Also the place can be very gross at times and that's probably because the owner Carlos is so cheap. The prices are way high too which is a joke. giving this place 3 stars is generous. read more

Let's see... walked in to find the girl with the neck tattoo eating ice cream while taking orders--no hand washing whatsoever when she was done eating before serving the next customer either. She and her co-worker were both rude, her co-worker especially, who refused to serve me and skipped right to the next person in line even though I had come in before there was any line and the person behind me gently reminded her I was next. She insisted I should get out of line and go over to the other girl. Just rude, rude, rude. They need to take a lesson or two in customer service from Richardson's Dairy (whose ice cream they serve) who are always slammed with customers and still provide amazing customer service with a smile. I was so disgusted by this treatment that I walked out without ordering anything and will not return. Took my money (and my future business) down the street to Orange Leaf instead. read more
