We used to go to Terry's a few years ago when it was owned by a French lady with a Greek husband/chef. The food was wonderful, pretty consistent, and the people were friendly. When they switched owners the food seemd fine--about the same, with some "creative" changes by the Mom/Chef Son owners. One of my favorites was the Gnocci Bolognese... which was reduced to Bolognese over pasta... now reduced to bolognese sauce stirred into overcooked spaghetti. It actually stood up in sticky clumps on my plate. The taste was intense, as if the sauce was old. My son ordered a pizza (which used to be a great, freshly made pizza with fresh mozzarella and basil) and got an upside down pizza (I suppose trying to be like a Chicago style)--sauce from a can, no spices poured over a (either) frozen or pre-baked crust. It tasted stale and flavorless. My wife ordered what used to be her favorite there--Fettucini Alfredo. She said it was bland. She had to add a lot of grated cheese just to get a little flavor into it. I tasted it and was sure it's slop from a dry powder mix. Lazy chef taking shortcuts. Oh yea... and It cost around $100 even after the waiter (after arguing that "everyone loves our pizza!") took off the price of the lousy pizza. This is was too expensive for the argumentative waiter, the ugly sinatra-era decor and dim lighting, the low quality food and frustrated 10 year old son (who has a great, sophisticated palette, btw). One more thing... they really need to makeover the decor. They haven't changed a thing in this place since the sixties. Please take down the dusty French embroidered curtains, pop a new window or to in the wall, put in an outdoor dining area and get rid of all that ugly wall painting and metal ceiling! We used to spend Christmas Eve with the old owners and great food after Mass. No more! UPDATE (January 2014): Ok... we tried again for Christmas Eve. (sigh) My wife's shrimp scampi was watery beyond belief. My wife called it a "scampi broth"! My son's fettuccine alfredo had a seriously broken sauce and had too much butter. My bolognese was way too intense, as if no one had ordered it in days and the sauce had intensified and thickened. Perhaps he used too much canned tomato paste. It did not taste fresh. Our waiter gets good points... he was great. However, great service by one waiter can't balance with food made by someone who just doesn't care anymore. This is typical when son's have their parents' financial backing and don't have a rear stake in what's going on. We will never go back. Besides, this place can cost a pretty penny when you add a few drinks and dessert. For the price, I expect a perfect meal. We didn't get that at all. Especially on Christmas Eve when people are splurging, you'd expect them to put out their best. Again, the chef doesn't care any more. read more

We went to Terry's for the second time last night. Again we were going for pizza but the menu is SOOO tempting we went with entrees. Again the stuffed mushrooms were phenomenal. This time I chose crab cakes and was not surprised that they were fantastic!! My better half had puttenesca - his plate was cleared!! One of these days we will get to the pizza - but I have a feeling it will be take out because we cannot get past the entrees when we are there!!!! You will not find a better meal in Easton!!! Two words, don't bother. Apart from the look of someone's converted garage with the resonant noise level, the food left much to be desired. Dry cutlets of chicken, perhaps due to reheating or keeping on hold under heat, complete with over cooked pasta and bitter sauce, terrible! For starters the bread basket tossed onto the table by one of the passing waiters contained 4 small slices of cold bread. Great homemade, fresh Italian food. I've been a fan for over 25 years. Only open a few nights a week, but worth seeking this place out. Don't miss the garlic bread. Try the Rosa sauce. And if you want pizza, get there early. The house dressing and the salad just make my mouth water. The portions are huge, but I always manage to finish and still have room for dessert. What an unbelievable experience.! We have lived in the area for three years and have never stopped into this delightful place. You are welcomed the second you walk in. A smile from the bartender, to manager, owner and server. The stuffed mushrooms are the best in the Lehigh Valley! You can tell the food is fresh and you are never rushed. In addition, while sitting at the bar having a cocktail, the patrons are friendly, sociable and welcoming. Kind of a nice reprieve from everything going on in this world today. I want to give 0 stars but I have to choose at least one. What a complete and utter disappointment. I come from a very authentic Italian family and had high hopes for this place based on the reviews but I guess that people from around this area don't know what good Italian food really is. I came here tonight with my husband and two children. The place wasn't very crowded so I had expected decent service. We started with an appetizer of crab dip and crustinis. It took over 20 minutes for the appetizer to come out. All that the crab dip consisted of was ricotta cheese and crab meat. Very bland, no good flavor. The crustinis were just a toasted version of the bread they served us before our meal. After we finished our appetizer it took another 15 minutes to get our salads. Keep in mind that our kids still did not get their meal from the children's menu. All the salad consisted of was generic spring mix, a couple of cherry tomatoes and ONE slice of cucumber. Very sad. For dinner, I ordered the "homemade" ravioli in an Alfredo sauce. My husband ordered the veal saltimbocca with a creamy risotto. Our meals finally came out after being there for over an hour (I'm thinking that this food better be damn good if we had to wait like we were sitting in the dining room on an episode of Hells Kitchen). Let me start with the ravioli. This was not homemade, it was pre-made pasta with homemade filling. The Alfredo was so thin it was like water. The ravioli were not fully cooked and I could taste the rawness of the filling. The cheese ravioli were average but the meat ravioli were so disgusting I couldn't even swallow one bite of them. One of the worst dishes I have ever attempted to eat. My husbands veal was so dry it was like rubber. And the "risotto" wasn't even made with the right grain, it tasted like minute rice and was completely bland and crunchy, no flavor to it whatsoever! We also ordered a side of the homemade meatballs which were yet another disappointment covered in sauce that tasted like it came straight from a can. At least my sons chicken fingers were edible. We all ended up sharing them since we were so hungry! When the waitress asked us if we wanted anything wrapped up, I wanted to say, "yeah, maybe for the dog". It was obvious we found the food repulsive being that we left 90% of it on our plates and told the waitress that we didn't want anything to take home. Oh, and these people should be ashamed of themselves for charging gourmet prices for less than mediocre food. $80 for an in-edible meal and a night of indigestion, thanks Terry's. Needless to say, we will NEVER step foot in that place again! I truly feel sorry for all the people that think this is what Italian food is supposed to taste like. Terry's may be the Lehigh Valley's best kept secret. When we moved here just over two years ago we began the search for the best restaurants in the area. There were a few restaurants in town (Easton) that looked pretty good, and some were. Nothing really jumped out as something that would be our go-to place. Terry's was very close to where we live and it looked like a charming little place, so we decided to give it a try. From the moment that we walked into Terry's we felt like they welcomed us like family. We were very impressed with the service. Then we got the food and it was unbelievable. Their chef really takes every dish to the next level. The freshness and quality of the food are always great and we have never had something that we didn't love. Everything seems very reasonably priced too. More recently we started going for the filets that they have on Wednesday and Thursday. I understand that this is a bold statement, but this is the best steak that you will get in the Lehigh Valley. I have had filets at Keens, Peter Lugers, Mastro's City Hall, CraftSteak, and many other top steak restaurants. The filet at Terry's still stands out as one of the best steaks that I have ever had. We usually go every week now for the steak and always look forward to going. read more

Don't be scared off by the non assuming external appearance. This family run business is a welcome change from chain restaurants. Always great service, even for custom orders. Terry's is a good solid spot when visiting Easton. Our son attends Lafayette College so we checked out some reviews and headed to Terry's. Have since been three times. First, make a reservation. Small restaurant side, small bar too. As others have mentioned the bread is not great. But the apps, main courses, and deserts are all good. Had one problem with my wife's order last visit, but very nice, took it back (no charge), and offered her something different. No biggy. Lasagna, Gnocchi, Calamari, Tiramisu, all good. As empty nesters we eat out 5 nights a week. Terry's has never disappointed! Start off with a drink (my fave is the Italian Margarita) and the bruschetta -awesome! I love the Puttenesca and Shrimp FraDiablo. Hubby enjoyed the crab stuffed flounder and the filet mignon special (call for nights it's served). One night we shared a wonderful salad and a pizza -totally enjoyable. This is a small son/mom run bistro with lots of attention to detail. Do NOT come if you are in a hurry. I was disappointed. It was a nice little place - I had high hopes as most of the rating are high, but I have no idea why. Maybe Sunday is an off night. Service was good, not great. The food overall was only fair. A bit bland. I had the eggplant parm - nothing special - I've had better. My daughter had the penne vodka. There were pieces of meat in it and peas which I never saw in this dish. The sauce was only fair. If Terry's opened in Philadelphia where I live and has many good Italian restaurants, it would have closed within a month. read more

We have been going to this restaurant since the new owners took over.On a regular basis the food is outstanding the specials are innovative and out of this world. I grew up in Easton but now live in Arizona. Since my moving across the country my parents became friends with Nancy and now are regulars at Terry's. ::I wish this would have happened sooner:: From the moment we walked in both my parents and brothers were both greeted by Nancy with warm welcomes and hugs! When I wasn introduced I also recieved a warm welcome. The atmosphere is very welcoming. Dim lighting, white table cloths, Basil infused olive oil is on every table. The warm homemade rosemary bread is absolutely to die for. The flavor isn't over powering, as rosemary can be, the crust is golden brown and delicious and when dipped in the oil, WOW. Coming from an authentic italian family (off the boat) I am one picky person when it comes to good italian food. We ordered come calamari to start with, anyone who knows great food knows that squid is hard to cook without getting tough. This calamari was tender and the breading stayed well coated. I was surprised to see scungilli (conch) on the menu, when I did, I already knew what I was going to have without even looking at the rest of the menu. I shared a few bites with my family, brother had ravioli which was out of this world. My mother had the special which was a cajun chicken type pasta with fresh veggies, it too was absolutely amazing. My father had the red clam sauce, the clams were fresh and again, tender. My entree was very light in flavor which did not outshine the star of the show, the conch...It was tender, juciy and had such great flavor! The best part besides the conch itself was the fact that my capellini was NOT over cooked! {insert tears of joy} My portion was true to italians, HUGE and I have left overs in my fridge as we speak. ::I can hear it calling my name even though I am too full!:: The outstanding meal was then finished off with a great dessert, their homemade chocolate moose. Light in texture, bits of dark chocolate mixed throughout, Heaven. My youngest brother said it best, "It is not a food, it is simply a feeling." I have never in my entire life had such a great italian meal, outside my own family. Terry's will now be a stop I must make every time I come home to visit now. Things looked promising driving past Terry's Restaurant on 611. We noticed several cars in the parking lot and decided to check it out. The decor was nice and there were many reserved tables. We ordered a special , crab and shrimp over linguine and a regular menu item, Carbonara. Both salads were good but things took a turn for the worse when our entrees arrived. My girlfriend instantly knew her plate of carbonara was, as she put it, disgusting. There was no sauce on it at all. She received a plate of dry sticky noodles that tasted terrible. I knew things didn't look good when the waitress had to read the menu and check out what kind of sauce was suppose to come on the plate of carbonara. Even the special was bad. There was almost no crab meat to be seen and it had some funny taste. Maybe we were the anomaly based on the phone ringing and the incoming crowd of people. Needless to say we didn't eat much and ended the night with a complementary bowl of ice cream which was pretty good. I'm afraid this place is now on our "never again" list. Wasted 55.00. My family and I have been going to this exquisite restaurant since it switched owners in 2010. The service is amazing; the family treats us like we're longtime friends. The food is like no other restaurant in the Valley! They start out with on the house delicious herb bread. Then for entrees they have anything from original buttered noodles to tasteful pasta vegetable dishes. Then you can end with satisfying deserts. My personal favorite is the coco puff; a homemade desert made with ice cream, hot fudge, and a homemade desert crust. Also, the atmosphere is perfectly casual and quaint. The ceiling is low and adorned with light bars instead of lightbulbs, the tables feel intimate, swingy music plays in the background, a fireplace serves as a beautiful focal point, and the smells of fresh herbs from the garden outside and garlic tickle your nose. Chef TC and his mom, Nancy, along with other family members, invite you in as if you were guests in their home. And they feed you that way as well!! The bread is baked on premises, accompanied with a bottle of basil infused olive oil for dipping. The cheese is freshly grated and served in a bowl with a spoon. The pizza is so delicious, handmade and served piping hot from the brick oven. The salads are crispy and ice cold, served on chilled plates, made with fresh mixed lettuces (not run of the mill iceberg) and your choice of delectable dressings, including a homemade blue cheese. The Carbonara, one of the simplest yet most difficult to execute of the classic Italian dishes was spot on, made the authentic way with egg and Parmesan cheese, a rare find these days. The Linguine with White Clam Sauce was bursting with flavor with a clam to pasta ratio that you usually only dream about. The coffee was fresh and hot, a perfect way to end the meal. They also have a full service bar and a scrumptious dessert menu. I can say we wanted for nothing, every detail was attended to by our stellar server, Pam. These people are true pros, not a bunch of teenagers yapping and texting in the corner. There is a constant presence in the dining room and they are genuinely happy to have you as their guests.
