I had a nightmare experience with 2tech Auto in chico Ca, (read the yelp review its an entertaining…read morereview) and only 2 hours left on my breathalyzer till it locked out my car, this was from disconnecting the battery which is apparently not allowed. I did so cause the unit was draining the battery at night to keep itself warm in the cold. Nevertheless I called 99smog and Tune and he said come on out with no appointment, which saved me a 300$ tow if he had said make an appointment my car would have locked out. When I got there they were very sympathetic towards my situation and had me out of there in 15 minutes. I couldnt have expected them to show more empathy and kindness from what had endured at 2tech auto. They charge less than most places and their minimum is only 55$. Its a nice drive to Gridley 20 minutes if you live in Chico go to to these guys. Very professional worth the drive.

Took many of my cars in for work over a span of several years of continual work, anytime a car goes in it typically comes back out with unresolved items forcing a second repair visit for another large invoice, or it comes back for a different issue. Seems like every-time my cars have visited the shop it always comes back worse than it went in. Given their expensive rates and poor quality - I would strongly recommend you take your car to a different shop over Grumpys. Very poor quality work, fail to standby work by having you talk to the dumb blonde girl who thinks she can talk fast and use fancy words to discredit and undermine a customers thoughts or concern. Save your money and go to a better shop. Let alone the fact I caught one of their employees running errands and joy riding my car while it was supposed to be in for repair only.
