    Spicy Bloody Mary

We visited Terry's for a family brunch with my in-laws this past weekend. We've been here for dinner before, but this was our first time trying their brunch menu. The restaurant itself was clean, and our service was prompt and friendly throughout the meal. During the daytime, however, the atmosphere felt quite dark and more like a bar than a traditional brunch spot. Our children ordered the Fruity Crème Waffle and Fruity Crème Pancakes with sausage. My husband ordered the lobster bisque and Eggs Benedict, while I had the breakfast burrito and a Bloody Mary. The kids enjoyed their meals, and my breakfast burrito and Bloody Mary were both good. Nothing particularly unique or memorable, but solid choices overall. Unfortunately, my husband's meal was more disappointing. His lobster bisque arrived barely warm, and the lobster on top was ice cold. He also felt that some of the seafood resembled imitation crab rather than lobster. To the restaurant's credit, he sent it back, but it wasn't a great first impression. The Eggs Benedict was decent, though not especially filling or noteworthy. Our biggest issue was the value. While the food was generally good, the prices felt very high for the portion sizes and overall quality. For example, one waffle cut into four pieces with a drizzle of sauce priced at $17 seemed difficult to justify. Several menu items left us feeling the same way. We really wanted to love Terry's brunch because we've had positive experiences there before, but ultimately the food didn't match the price point for us. While service was pleasant and the meal was okay overall, we left feeling underwhelmed and don't plan to return for brunch.

I got the Cajun Filet bites and they looked nothing like how the menu described them. The "garlic bread" that came with them was just a 1/3 slice of white bread. There also somehow hair in one of the bites. Needless to say I sent it back. Next up was the soft serve margarita flight which had zero alcohol in them. Turns out they were close to $30! This place is very over priced and seems to be inconsistent and poorly managed. Many better spots in the area.

Decorated for the holidays. Cute signature holidays drinks. Food heavily fried. Service good.

The perfect fish taco: seriously, better than ones I've had in Mexico.

I hate that I'm starting this review, trying to resolve a crisis point of value in dining. For a number of reasons, prices have started to climb recently. And, for places that weren't known for being cheap, it's an eye-opener. My wife and I decided to get drinks when we got home after seeing what we'd be paying for food. $20 for a lobster roll sounds like a good price, until you realize the roll is the size of a hotdog bun. I really wish I hadn't started this way, but it's unavoidable. This is listed as a $$ price restaurant, but it's really closer to a $$$ restaurant now. But, back to my question of value, what you get is uniformly excellent. My Nashville chicken sandwich was a decent size, and painfully, authentically hot. The accompanying fries are perfectly crispy. My wife's salmon Florentine was flawless, and her mom's Rueben was rock solid. The price point is slightly out of what I would want to do regularly. But, this also clarified what's important to me. Given a choice, I would overpay a bit for quality. Also, service and creativity in the menu are always top-notch. If you know what this will cost going in, I'm sure you will enjoy your experience here.

Gave this place a try and probably won't be coming back. The interior is very nice and has a nice ambiance. Sat at the bar and the service was good, friendly service. We got the Crab Saganaki for an appetizer, the crab meat and the flavor of the hot cheese do not work at all, I would advise to not order this. My friend got the clam chowder which was terrible, like a mix between elmers glue and flour. No flavor, terrible texture. I got the beer battered fish and chips, the fish was good and looked like a house made tarter sauce, was nice. Came with cole slaw which was very dry and very bland. The fish and tarter were the only real things good about our experience here. Not much of a reason to come back.

Picked Terri's as my birthday dinner spot for my big 50th. It just happens to be in October during their Crabby sweetest day event!!! so many crab inspired items on the menu. It was hard to choose. Crab legs were delicious and cooked perfectly. Easy to crack and great flavor. We also ordered the crabcake appetizer that was equally delicious. Bonus was the free chocolate brownie sundae for my birthday.

Cornbread and chorizo gravy w/ over medium egg

Came here for brunch on a Saturday. Group of 4, sat right away and server was quick to give us menus and take our drink order - 3 of us had the mimosa flight and 1 water. We chatted a bit before ordering but the server checked in on us frequently. We ordered a waffle with bacon, a basic egg, hash brown, bacon, toast combo, a veggie omelet and the cornbread w/ chorizo gravy. 3 meals came out quick, mine took a bit longer like they were almost done eating before mine came out longer. Then when it came out, the plate was hotter than the cornbread and gravy. I asked for it to be heated in the microwave because I was hungry and didn't want to wait for them to remake it. Manager comped my meal and the table got free shots. Food came back out hot and it was good.

Terry's Terrace has quickly become a family favorite! The seafood and everything else on their menu are absolutely spectacular. We've never had an unpleasant experience here--ever. During our most recent visit, we tried the crab cakes, crabby chicken tacos, and the fish and chips with beer batter, and every single dish was tremendously delicious. The flavors were spot-on, and the quality of the food exceeded our expectations yet again. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for amazing food and a consistently great dining experience. We'll definitely be visiting again soon and have already been recommending Terry's Terrace to all of our friends. This place is a true gem! Our server kept us updated on the status of our food because they were very busy. She also made sure our drinks were always topped off. Great service always adds to a positive experience.

The dishes I ate will be rated separately because of their range in quality. Bread Basket: 4/5 The bread basket that came with the prime rib that I ordered was better than most. It came with multiple freshly baked dinner rolls with some char on them and crispy breadsticks, complemented by a garlicky butter. Soup of the Day (Seafood Bisque): 5/5 This soup was the best dish of all that I had ordered. Despite being a side dish for the prime rib, its rich flavor overshadowed everything else I ate for the evening. House Salad: 2.5/5 The salad is a standard salad that you can skip. Nothing special. Louisiana Lemon Pepper Walleye: 4/5 The walleye was the second best dish. It was a well seasoned, large filet that had a great tartar sauce to go with it. This is a dish I would order again if I came back. Prime Rib: 3/5 The prime rib was surprisingly underwhelming. The edges of the prime were a little tougher than I'd like, and the prime rib itself came out a little cold. The au jus could have been reduced to be a little more concentrated as well. Overall, if I were to come back I would choose to order some different menu items, apart from the soup.

No directions as to where to go and no one bothered to acknowledge me so I waited at the end of the bar. Bartenders took a couple minutes to come by, when she arrived I explained I was here to pick up my cheese BREAD take out order. Her response was pointing to the hostess stand that was empty. I went and stood at the hostess stand, few minutes of listening to the employees giggle around the corner and a girl walking by ask how many. I advised I was there to get a pickup order so she ducked back around the corner for a moment then walked away. Few more minutes pass and a third employee shows up to ask why I am there. She leaves the kitchen moments later with a plastic bag then waits at the bar for change from the bartender for 5 minutes while she is holding my HOT food that was getting cold. Finally I got my 45 cents & cold Mozzarella cheese STICKS. Best part about this experience was leaving their restaurant.

The swordfish was out of this world- tender, succulent, & well spiced. Even the saffron rice it was served upon was lovely. Hubby enjoyed the cracker crusted app pizza, as well. The wagyu burger was quite possibly the best burger I have ever enjoyed. Even the gluten free bun was, (dare I say), a stand out. Hubby's wagyu was served on a "normal" bun which he said was outstanding as well. It is called a Grown up Happy Meal. Finally, the truffle fries were prepared in what appeared to be in the classical, French way, that is, like pomme frites. The only down side to these fries was that I may not ever be able to go back to normal fries. Yes, that good. And served with aioli- my favorite. This dining experience was fantastic.
