Everything about this place is just okay. Food quantity is sub par, food quality is a little above average. Honestly it's all just overrated. The staff is really nice and helpful. Inside is cool. This place is mostly always good because of the service especially Cecelia and coco they are great at serving and coco is very kind and down to earth and very good at the recommendations but the food is a bit iffy I got a very very undercooked steak and had to send it back twice then I just gave up on it and had it get taken off the bill so they gave me their new shake which was very good. The inside is sick to, the service in there is the cornerstone of the restaurant but they really need to make a step getting into the food to make it better. read more

We were looking for some good fish and chips. Very underwhelming. This place is known for its fish that's we drove 45 minutes to get it. The place is so dark and dingy even though we came at noon it felt like 9pm. Some of the TVs were so old that the kino was burned onto the screen. I don't mind going to a dive bar but the food was so expensive I could have gone to a Detroit fish house type place. Like the option of being able to choose three different kinds of fish batter but without seasoning in the batter, you don't taste that much of a difference . Fries were good, but they gave you a small fake fryer basket full of them I I suspect that it's to make sure you get a small portion of fries other than just a cool look. because if they were worried about the luck, they replace some of the TVs popcorn machine and how dark and dry it is. Terry's Terrance is local to me and when someone wants to meet us there...we're happy to go. The food isn't the most wonderful food ever...it's good. I always get the Traditional Fish and Chips and it's usually great! My dinner partner got the "Crabby Chicken'. It didn't come out of the kitchen hot...but it's a meal that is fine eaten lukewarm so we didn't send it back. The chicken was cooked inside. The tomato bisque soup was good...it wasn't hot...but it tasted just fine. The Burnt tips appetizer was actually hot and very good!!! The service was excellent. We didn't have to wait for anything! My Dad and I had never been so tried this place for a Friday night dinner. We had been talking about going for awhile and finally checked it out. It was one of the worst meals I can remember in recent memory, especially considering how much we paid ($147 plus tip for two meals, house wine, appetizer). The crab stuffed mushrooms were absolutely God-awful. The crab was imitation and it was mixed with cold shredded cheese and cold onions. The opposite of appetizing. The waitress was apathetic, borderline rude. Not attentive at all. Our meals were also terrible. My sirloin (and I have had a lot of steaks) was an inedible overcooked cheap piece of meat with too much salt on it. I asked for it medium. It was so bad I could barely chew it. When the bill came that was the only time our server became friendly, only with my Dad (the one paying). I was ignored entirely even worse than him through the entire meal. LETS GET HONEST! Terry Terrace is a great little gem! Fit for the family for dinner or a night out. They have old arcades in the back that make you feel like a kid again! This is a tough one for me. We got the lobster bisque. Absolutely delicious however it was cold. We waited an extremely long time for our food. The prime rib and crabby chicken were pneumonial. My husband got the surf and turf burger, ordered medium. The burger was well done and dry as heck that my husband had a hard time swallowing. We waited a while until the waitress showed back up. He asked for it to be remade. We waited another half hour for them to remake it. The rest of us were already done eating so he asked for it to be boxed up. On our bill there was two of his meals with a donation/recovery discount which took off one of them. I'm floored that they didn't compensate at all or management didn't come speak to us. I don't like how that business is ran from a customer service stand point. That's just terrible. It is a shame that we won't be back because of that because everything tasted great. Came here with my family for a birthday celebration and ended up there for over two and an half hours. Once the food finally came it was all cold, one order was wrong, the steak was so dry and disgusting. The manager came by to ask how everything was and when we told her she just walked away. The preparation of the fish was perfect... however, the fish itself it was not firm, flakey Cod, rather it was mushy Haddock. (I'm guessing on the Haddock.) Must try for seafood lovers. The fish and chips were some of the best I've had and the lobster and waffles special were out of this world. Place has been around since 1938 so you know they're doing things right. Food came out piping hot and service was amazing. Drinks were perfectly crafted and balanced. We made reservations and were seated immediately. that's where the quick service ended. first off, we were not waited on until about 20 minutes of sitting and that was just to take our water order. we didn't get that back for another 10 minutes, ordered alcoholic beverages, and waited 30 minutes more for that. once our beverages came we finally were able to order food (if you're keeping tabs, that's 50 minutes since we were seated). when the food finally came (38 minutes, we monitored that time) one of the food was cold and didn't have a ton of flavor anyway. was very disappointed, have been coming here for years and not sure if management shifted or changed, but don't foresee myself coming back. read more

Tried three times over the years because of word of mouth. Three bad experiences and we're done. First time they were busy so we gave them a pass. Second time we couldn't get food cuz of lack of cooks and our friend had a tray of margaritas spilled all over her (still charged her for the margaritas she wore). Went there over the past weekend with friends. Called ahead and had a reservation. When we got there the host was very awkward and said no walk ins. Had to show him twice our name on his iPad as a reservation. Still refused us a table. He showed another employee the reservation and they whispered to each other oddly. Finally we flagged down a manager who made them find a table. We got drinks at the table and were ignored for 45 minutes. Had to ask another waitress that wasn't ours to get us a bill. We were nothing but nice the whole time but the server was giving attitude and was speaking rudely to other employees away from our table as one of our friends overheard while walking to the bathroom. The table was barely bussed by the server and was filling quickly as we ordered a lot of food. At the end, the server messed up our tabs multiple times. The drinks were good but some of them were very overpriced for the amount you get. Food is extremely expensive; 18 dollars + for a salad. I ended up with the Nashville hot sandwich which honestly wasn't great. The chicken patty is huge which is great but it's more sweet than spicy which is not at all what a Nashville sandwich should be. She brought me a dirty martini "up" with a lemon twist. Next she brings the soup. My husband's soup is fine, but mine is cold and congealed on the top. The food here was just ok. This place was packed so I had high hopes but nothing was all that great. Sadly, there are only 3 options on the menu if you are gluten free: 2 salad and burnt ends. I got the burnt ends and a side salad. The side salad was the smallest salad I've ever seen in my life. The burnt ends were good but since it's an appetizer it's very small. There are no entrees on the menu that are gluten free. Considering they serve steaks and lobster I was surprised to not be able to order one of those as an option. My husband got the French dip, he said it was just ok. Not as flavorful as other places and a bit cold. Our server was super nice but the food took forever (over an hour). We got to sit in an igloo ( a sacred spot where Mr. 19 shall not enter)! Our server was awesome and she was making jokes and having a good time with us. We started with the Cajun filet mignon bites and the crab stuffed mushrooms. Both were really good and the bites had a little kick to it. The French onion soup was ok, it wasn't bad by any means but there weren't many onions in it and way too much dried oregano on top. The fish tacos were fantastic, I would highly recommend it. Multiple beer battered fish and chips were ordered by our group and they all loved it. Overall an awesome meal, and they do have gluten free options as well for anyone that might be wondering.
