In the end, a single bowl of soup that could only reasonably serve two people cost nearly $40. For a family of four ( 2 adults and 2 lil kinds) that pricing felt excessive and very frustrating. Another issue was the automatic gratuity. In most restaurants, gratuity is typically added only for larger parties, often five or more guests. At Thai Spice, gratuity was included regardless of party size. Whether you dine alone or with two, three, or four people, the gratuity is automatically added to the bill. Overall, I believe the owner should reconsider the pricing structure and gratuity policy. Charging separately for the soup base and toppings in this way does not feel fair to customers, and the automatic gratuity for all party sizes is disappointing. That's why I don't see anyone in the restaurant for weekend night because they are rip-off.
