The scratch upon delivery of the new car
    Katy C.

My brand new car was ruined by the service tech over buffing the panel of the driver side door when I reported a scratch. This was a brand new vehicle upon delivery day. I hadn't even driven the car off the lot. So, I had to report the issue to Tesla for my car to be painted after the fiasco of what the Buena Park Tesla dealership did to the car. My car was serviced at aliso Viejo and I'm not a painter or an auto repair/collision mechanic but even I know to tape windows, floors, and anything you don't want paint to get on. Well, you would think these people would have the same common knowledge on how paint works and to tape off windows! Apparently not! I now have paint all over my windows (driver side, passenger side, sunroof, windshield and back window) as well as on the door handles, brake lights, headlights and black trim. This car is only 3 weeks old and 1.5 of those weeks it was in body shop of aliso Viejo from December 28, 2023 to January 9, 2024! I'm pretty mad and don't trust this location and don't advise you to take it here if you have an option. Also they managed to lose my car key. I'm not quite sure how you lose a car key with the person's initials on it! See attached photos. Update 02/21/2024 I had to return my car for service due to the overspray from this body shop. The car was out of my possession for almost 4 weeks! From January 26 to February 21. When they brought back the car, their way of "fixing" the overspray on the windows, trims, door handles and mirrors was to scratch it off with steel wool. I have scratch marks on the windows and mirrors now. Somehow they also managed to scratch the paint of the car and the center console in the process. They brought back my car with scratch marks on all 7 windows, side mirrors, center console and interior driver side door paint and placard. Not to mention they returned the car with an orange spot of paint on the sunroof. They also scratched the passenger side trim. See pictures attached

A Tesla Collision Center in my neighborhood? Heck, yeah! I am used to dropping off my car in Costa Mesa or Irvine so it's nice to have a spot to drop my car off in Aliso Viejo. While my experience was different this time around, the process was virtually seamless. I made the appointment the day of my accident in the app. It was scheduled 2 weeks out which was a bit of a pain but I also scheduled a Tesla rental car through my insurance a few days prior, due to the fact that I had all day meetings at work that week. My service advisor was David B. who was super helpful. I dropped off my car and quickly dropped off my husband before heading to the office. While David quoted me a 3.5 week wait, I got my car back in 8 days after I reached out and asked if I could possibly get the car back before Christmas. I received a notification via text a few days later, checked the app, and noticed that the car was ready for pickup. I went ahead and emailed my service advisor to confirm and he said the car was ready. They were just waiting on my insurance payment to come through. So I immediately went to pick up my car after work. There was a note that I'd be charged $200 per day for storage of the vehicle, so I didn't want to keep it there longer than necessary. Their lot is always full. Apparently, there was a hiccup with the insurance, so I paid the deductible plus a little extra that insurance didn't want to negotiate on. I'm still waiting on liability determination but I have Sentry video and a police report. The other guy hit my parked car in a parking lot and didn't stop. Luckily, they were able to take my rental so I didn't need to drop it off at Hertz. That was a huge relief because Hertz was closing at 5 pm. I settled up my paperwork with Tesla and was given my car back. I moved items from the rental to my car, erased my profile from the rental, then locked it up. I was on my way shortly after that. My car is whole again and for that I'm grateful. Now I just have to settle up with my insurance.

We got there and they were ready for me with the paper work ready to be filled out!! Wow! We then got our quote to fix the damage for our car and waited about 15 min for the tech to figure out how much it would cost. In the mean time we were in the lobby when a women who was very unadapted with hertz came in. The women up front did an AMAZING JOB calming her down and listing to her. She wasent even mad with MV auto collisions, she was mad with hertz; and the woke up front STILL listened to her and made her feel so much better even tho they were not the ones to cause the issue at hertz. Amazing 10/10 customer service and 10/10 bussiness. Will continue to come back here and refer everyone I know to come here for any and all of there collision needs.

The body and mechanics guys did a phenomenal job, it drives great and I paid a little extra to get the roof/hood painted separately from the insurance claim. The guys also did a great job powdercoating and refitting the new bull bar, in addition to the winch hookups, accessory lights, etc. Definitely not your standard job! I couldn't be happier with the outcome. Thanks Jesse for your patience as we waited a long time to get the bumper back. Best of all, a lifetime warranty on everything done! Who could ask for more than that?

This photo was what I submitted when requesting a mobile repair quote, and the damage is centered…read moreon the reflector itself, along with dents above and below it. The repair quote I received did not specifically exclude the reflector repair, and it included a charge for "additional materials." Because of that, I reasonably believed the visible reflector damage was included as part of the repair. When I called the office before making the appointment, they didn't tell me that the reflector itself will not be fixed. When the technician arrived, he informed me that they could only repair the dents above and below the reflector, and that the damaged reflector itself was not included. When I called Bumper Buddies for clarification, I was told that because I, as the customer, did not specifically request reflector repair, it was not included in the quote even though the dents directly above and below the reflector were included. As a customer, I relied on professionals' expertise to evaluate the photos and provide an accurate estimate. If a major visible part of the damage was not included, that should have been communicated with the customer or clearly stated in the quote rather than assumed to be excluded. It's not unreasonable for customer to expect the communication of "hey, I see your reflector was also damaged, but we cannot fix the reflector itself, but we can fix the dent above and below it". The repair quote may have matched their internal interpretation of the estimate, but it did not match a customer's reasonable expectation based on the photos submitted. During my follow-up call with Nick, he repeatedly stated that it's a "communication error" and the quote did not include reflector replacement because I had not specifically requested it. That explanation raised even more concerns for me. As a customer, I relied on their expertise to identify and quote the visible damage shown in the photos. I should not be expected to name every individual damaged part or anticipate every technical detail in order to receive an accurate quote. If I had the professional knowledge to identify every repair item myself, I likely would not have needed their service in the first place. That is exactly why I turned to them for an estimate. Based on this experience, I would not feel confident on any future estimates from them unless every single item is spelled out in writing beforehand.
